The big reveal of being stuck in a killing game and being trapped in the school was stressful for everyone. How will they all spend their time?

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Ray stopped running as he arrived at the library.

"Daiko, are you any good at reading books?" Ray asked, trying to find a book on what exactly this place was.

"Uh, kinda." Daiko nodded, catching up to him.

"Good. Try to find a book on what the heck this place is." Ray told him before scurrying off.

"Alright." Daiko sighed, looking up at the tall shelves.

As Ray looked through the books, he tried to plan out how he could survive.

"So, if I am correct, Daiko's sister is smart enough to figure out who killed fairly quickly. So there is no chance I can kill Daiko... But other than that, I only see one other option. It will be extremely risky and I doubt it would work... But to pull off that manoeuver, I have to befriend another person." Ray thought to himself.

Ray started calculating how he'd be able to free himself. He groaned in annoyance that every move he made in his mind, he was caught. Mostly by Terishi.

"Hiya!" Akira popped up behind him.

Ray turned as fast as he could and grabbed her by the shoulder with a powerful grip.

"You have three seconds to explain who you are and what the heck you're doing behind me!" Ray threatened her.

"Well, Mr Luciano, sir, I came to speak with you. That's all." Akira smiled, seeming not to know the danger she was in.

"Wait... You're the fire kid, right? What's your name... Akira!" Ray realized.

"It's an honour to actually speak with you." Akira nodded.

"Wait, what?" Ray asked, begining to realize that Akira might know more than he wanted her to.

"You're Ray Luciano, you're such an inspiration! Especially since you're the Ultimate C-" Akira hummed before getting cut off.

"Shh, not everybody needs to know that. People won't trust me if they know who I am so just pretend I'm the Ultimate Chef for now, alright?" Ray hissed quietly.

"Of course!" Akira nodded quickly.

"Alrighty then, let's start with this. How do you know me and what do you want from me?" Ray asked more calmly.

"Well, you're a criminal, I'm a criminal. You're name is very well known, well, not to these folks." Akira informed him,"And I want to be friends, partners!"

"Alright, let's strike a deal. We can be good ol' pals and shit. The only catch is, you owe me a favour and you will have to do that singular favour, no matter how extreme. How does that sound Mon Cher Ami?" Ray offered.

"Oui." Akira smirked.

Ray grinned,"Good, good. Now then, I suppose as a friend you might want to help me look for a book on this place, hm, Fille de Feu?"

"I'm good at finding things!" Akira ran off to find a book for him.

Ray walked over to Daiko,"Yo, we got an ally. If you see Akira, try not to beat her senseless, even if she's committing a crime."

"I don't think I could beat her senseless, she's kinda spooky." Daiko shook his head.

"Spooky, indeed." Monokuma suddenly appeared.

"Where the fuck did you come from, Teddy McFluff?" Ray growled.

"Relax, kid. I came to give you guys something." Monokuma held out three tablets.

"What the hell are these? And don't 'kid' me, buddy. You're the guy that three year olds drool on." Ray snapped.

"These are your school handbooks." Monokuma ignored his last comment,"They contain school rules and such."

"Why do we need school handbooks when we're literally trying to murder all the other students?" Ray asked.

"They're helpful." Monokuma crossed his arms,"They also help unlock certain rooms, not your dorms, though."

"It's not like a lock will stop people murdering... Anyhow, care to explain these handbooks?" Ray raised a brow.

"Well, just press that button." Monokuma pointed,"That'll turn it on."

"I know how tablets work, Sherlock. I'm asking how this'll help me." Ray rolled his eyes,"And how do I know that it won't explode the second I open it?"

"Your little friend seems to think it's alright." Monokuma gestured to Daiko who was already looking through his tablet.

Ray sent Daiko a glare before turning back to Monokuma.

"Alright, fine then, what's the worst that can happen?" Ray sighed before powering on his tablet.

"Oh, there's a rule we should probably tell Akira about." Daiko told him.

"Yeah, I'll call her... FILLE DE FEU!" Ray called.

Akira quickly sped around the shelf and over to the trio.

"Mr. McFluff needs to give you something." Ray explained, pointing to the bear.

"Ooh." Akira took her tablet.

"The destruction of school property is strictly prohibited." Monokuma told her, gaining a disappointed look from Akira.

Well then, Sir Teddy, while you're still here, I would like to ask you about the game. I heard you say 'murder' and 'freedom' but there has to be more to it." Ray inquired.

"Well, you need to get away with it." Monokuma shrugged.

"Well, if we don't get away with it and someone catches us, what will happen? I feel as if there's a way to get rid of murderers..." Ray explained his thought process, also secretly revealing why he hadn't murdered yet.

"Duh, I execute you if you got caught." Monokuma told them,"If you did get away with it, everyone besides you would get executed."

"W-what?" Ray stammered.

"So... Hypothetically, if I killed someone, hid the body and nobody found it, I'd be allowed to go free?" Ray asked.

"You're getting all hypothetical." Monokuma sighed,"How about you just kill and find out?"

"Eh, I can wait." Ray mumbled, prowling away.

Daiko stood there frozen, shaking slightly.

"Aw, it'll be okay." Akira patted his shoulder,"I'll look after you."

"Daiko, Akira, I am heading to my dorm for tonight. You guys should rest up as well. We have an interesting future ahead of us." Ray called back to them.

"Alrighty!" Akira smiled, pulling Daiko along with her.

Sancia entered the library, brushing the fabric of her shirt as if it were dirty. The library was big and she almost felt intimidated by the towers of knowledge that lay beyond her. Sancia was nervous. She knew nothing about fighting and as far as she could tell, there were no animals around that she could convince to fight for her. She turned a corner, stiffening as she saw a flicker of grey hair disappear. Probably Akira. Curiosity clawed at her but she ignored it, grabbing a book that had been seemingly discarded and burying her head in it. As Ray passed by the library again, he spotted Sancia.

"Perfect first target..." He mumbled under his breath and walked over,"Hey... Sancia, right?"

Sancia nodded, trying to shake off the growing nervousness tugging at her mind.

"Hiya. You can call me Cia if you'd like." She managed to smile.

"Nice to meet you, Cia! I'm Ray. I'm trying to meet people so I won't die, if that explains why I randomly popped up." Ray explained.

Sancia eyed him wearily. He seemed almost... Too friendly. She tugged on her hair.

"Alright, it's my pleasure." Sancia held out her hand.

Despite that, the paranoid part of herself was screaming at her to run, or at least tackle him and search for weapons. She definitely wouldn't succeed in that. Ray sent her his signature toothy and totally not sinister grin while shaking her hand.

"The pleasure is all mine. Anywho, why are you sat in the middle of the library. You seem too... Well, paranoid, to be out in the open like this." Ray mentioned before chuckling,"At least you look paranoid with the fidgeting and all."

Sancia battled a grin, attempting an irritated glare before she spoke again.

"I was doing some... Research, I guess." She closed the book that had been formerly laying open in her hands,"What about you?"

Kirari stepped into her dorm, locked the door and began to work on the pink mushroom earrings for Ash. She was frightened and making jewelry helped her escape from reality. After working on the earrings for about twenty minutes, she had the base done and began to add details. After another ten minutes, Kirari was finished. The end result was mushroom-shaped earrings with a pink cap dotted with white and a tan base. She then got up, unlocked her door and headed to Ash's room.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Ash walked numbly into her dorm. This whole experience felt like a bad dream and when she woke up, everything would be alright. She sat down on her bed, wondering who would try and kill her first.

Kirari waited outside her door awkwardly for a minute before finally knocking,"Ash? It's me, Kirari. I finished the earrings but I can come back another time if you don't want me to come in."

"No, come on in!" Ash forced a smile.

She was happy to see Kirari but with everything going on, she just wasn't in a good mood. Kirari stepped in, holding the earrings in one hand and a surprise in her second.

"Are you alright? Well, I have a surprise for you." Kirari held out a white bunny plush with a pink ribbon,"I noticed you seemed upset and thought this might cheer you up!"

Ash gasped and stared at the plush bunny in Kirari's hand.

"You-How-What?" She couldn't find the words to thank her; exclaims as she hugs Kirari,"Thank you!"

Kirari was surprised at first but then hugged her back. It felt nice, having someone Ash felt she could turn to when times were tough. Right now, in the moment, nobody was going to kill each other and they were back home, free. Kirari then gently let go.

"Oh! I almost forgot about the earrings!" She exclaimed, holding them out.

Ash spent a few moment studying them, taking in their beauty.

"They're gorgeous." She breathed.

Kirari smiled,"I should head back to my dorm now."

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Ray yawned as he entered his dorm, but he couldn't rest now.

"No rest for the wicked." He mumbled before taking out a blank sheet of paper and brainstorming how to get out of there.

Soon, there was a light knocking on his door.

Ray quickly stored his paper away before saying,"Come in!"

A boy wearing a fancy, burgundy uniform and long, black hair walked in,"Ah, Ray, was it?"

"Yes, that would be my name. Who might you be?" Ray asked.

"I am Dimitri, the Ultimate Butler. I have been asked to give you this by Stevie." He held out a small note.

"Stevie...? Qu'est-ce qu'elle veut putain?" Ray raised a brow before opening and reading the note.

The handwriting was messy and the spelling was, well, terrible but the gist of the note was 'Meet me in the Dining Hall tomorrow at 8:30'.

"Alright, fine." Ray sighed,"But how do I know this isn't just an execution?"

"Because she's inviting everyone. I believe it would be very difficult to get away with murder if everyone witnessed it." Dimitri informed him,"Besides, I don't believe she's capable of harming someone."

"Fair enough... But what if a few of her friends are in on it with her and kill the other half of the school, hm? And what if you're lying to me right now... Dimitri?" Ray narrowed his eyes, trying to remember the other student's name at the same time as being extremely cautious.

"You are a very paranoid person, Ray but I can assure you, my words are nothing but the truth." Dimitri told him,"If it helps, I'll try to keep the mask girl as far away from you as possible."

"Who the heck is the mask kid?!" Ray asked, unable to remember,"And yeah, I'm paranoid for a good reason! If you haven't noticed, Sherlock, we're trapped in a school full of people with the desire to stab you!"

"Terishi is her name. If I recall correctly, you're friends with her brother." Dimitri turned,"Remember that the more paranoid you are, the more likely you are to kill."

"I know I'm going to kill, I just haven't decided yet, Butler Boy so you don't have to worry about my paranoia. Just remember, never turn your back on me." Ray gave a malicious grin.

"Oh, trust me... I am not scared of you, Ultimate Crime Boss." Dimitri calmly walked out of the room.

Ray rolled his eyes and closed the door. He then let down his hair and began to comb it. Once Ray retied his ponytail, he put on a fedora rather than his typical small top hat and went hunting for people. He might as well get to know everyone. In the corner of the hall there were two people, a girl with brown and pink hair and a ginger boy.

Ray walked up to the people down the hall,"Hello there."

The girl looked up from her guitar,"Oh, hey."

"The name's Ray, what's yours?" Ray asked politely.

"The name's Crystal." She smiled and getured to the boy beside her,"And this is Scott."

"It's nice to meet you two. I've been going around asking people this so if it's weird, don't worry. What's your opinion on Monokuma?" He asked the two.

"He's a wee fucking bastard!" Scott spoke up, a prominent Scottish accent showing.

"Reasonable. Thanks for your input, I hope you both have a wonderful day!" Ray said, jogging away.

"Enjoy yourself, mate!" Ray called after him.

"Okay... Who's next?" Ray pondered, walking towards the kitchen and dining hall.

Stevie was in the kitchen, looking through the various cupboards. Why did it have to be her?

"Yo, Stevie!" Ray called as he approached her.

"Ray." She smiled and turned around.

"Assuming you aren't trying to kill us all, why did you call us here tomorrow?" Ray asked.

"Well, I felt like having breakfast together and doing a role call in the morning would make people feel safer." Stevie answered.

"I'm pretty sure people like me will think you doing a headcount to check how many butcher knives you'll need to get, mon ami. I'm just saying, make sure people don't get the wrong idea." Ray explained.

"I'm just trying to look after you guys, it's what I do best." Stevie told him.

"I see. Anyhow, soignante, I was going to ask but do you need any help?" Ray questioned.

"That would be great." She nodded.

"So, what are you planning on making?" Ray asked.

"Pancakes." Stevie told him.

"Ah, that's rather simple!" Ray grinned, immediately going to get some pans.

"I know." She nodded.

Ray put the pancake mixture into a bowl, added water, mixed it up and poured it into a pan. Stevie hummed, getting out some plates. Ray then flipped the pancakes onto each plate.

"Personally, I've never eaten a pancake and have only made them. Do you eat them like this or add something?" Ray asked.

"It depends on my mood. I'm not feeling very fancy so I'll just add some butter to mine." Stevie shrugged.

"I see, I see." Ray nodded, flipping the last pancake.

Stevie added a bit of butter to her pancake before sitting down at the table.

"We should probably call a few more people, we have three extra plates." Ray chuckled.

"Oh, I'll go do it." Stevie got up from the table.

Ray brought the remaining plates to the table before looking up what people eat with pancakes.

"So... Maple syrup, strawberries and whipped cream?" Ray grabbed those things and set them on the table.

Stevie rushed out of the room, soon returning with three others. Crystal, Scott and a person he didn't recognize.

"Welcome! I hope you enjoy the pancakes." Ray grinned.

"Thank you." The one he didn't recognize nodded.

"So, what's your name?" Ray asked.

"Mew. Mew Kamakiri, the Ultimate Mantis Conservationist." She smiled.

"Nice to meet you, Mew." Ray stuck out his hand.

"Same here." Mew nodded, shaking his hand.

"Woah, this is fucking awesome!" Scott cheered.

"Merde génial en effet." Ray chuckled.

Scott blinked, turning to Stevie,"What did he say?"

"Awesome shit indeed." Stevie smiled.

Ray added some butter to his pancake and began eating as Scott spoke again.

"Cool, I don't speak German." He told them, causing Stevie to start laughing

"Actually, it's what normal people call French and what unintellectuals call Baguette." Ray rolled his eyes.

"You're not that smart, buddy." Crystal patted Scott's back.

Ray snorted.

"Get fucked." Scott crossed his arms.

"Anyways, let's share something about ourselves to develop trust. I'll start, I'm from France." Ray told them.

"Interesting." Crystal nodded,"I'll go next, I'm in a band."

"What about you, Scott?" Ray asked.

"I'm Scottish." He announced proudly.

"Wow, really? I never would've guessed." Stevie rolled her eyes.

"And you, Stevie?" Ray inquired.

"Hm, I have a younger brother." Stevie shrugged.

"Interesting. So you have experience caregiving?" Ray noted.

"Exactly." Stevie nodded.

"What about you, Mew?" Ray asked.

"I'm the second in command at the Mantis Conservation Site I volunteer at." Mew informed them.

"That seems... Relevant. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pancakes!" He turned to Scott's plate,"Or enjoyed."

"What? They tasted good." Scott covered his mouth, full of pancake.

"I'm gonna go get some rest now. It was nice meeting you guys." Ray gave the group a salute.

"See you tomorrow, Ray!" Stevie waved.

Jay was reading a book whilst in the fetal position. They'd just woken up from a nap and didn't have their glasses on so they had the book right up to their face. After reading three chapters, Jay realized that it would probably be smarter if they put on their glasses. They grabbed their glasses from the bedside table beside her and put them on, locking the door. They then returned to the bed to resume reading.

They then heard someone knocking on the door,"Anyone in?"

Jay glanced up, sighing softly.

"No." They muttered but unlocked the door,"Come in."

"I've been going around introducing myself to others, sorry if I'm bugging you." Terishi apologized.

Jay nodded and returned to their bed while keeping an eye on Terishi. Jay sat down on their bed, their long legs slightly tangling over each other as they did.

"I'm Jay. You?" They raised a brow.

"Terishi." Terishi leaned against the wall.

Jay blinked,"Terishi. Nice name."

"Oh, thanks." She smiled,"Well, you seem pretty nice."

"Hmm." Jay muttered,"I'm not sure how I should respond to that."

"Well... I've gone and made things awkward, haven't I?" Terishi sighed, putting her mask over her face.

"No, I can do that on my own." Jay chuckled.

"Acting, I can do. Regular conversation, not so easy." Terishi shook her head.

"I'm more of an artist, myself." Jay chuckled, signalling to an art book on their bedside table,"When you're used to making art alone, your social skills don't do very well."

"Oh, can I see some of your drawings?" Terishi asked before quickly adding,"If that's okay with you."

"Sure." Jay tossed the art book over to her.

The majority of the pages were filled with art of overly detailed dragons in flight.

"Woah..." Terishi gasped, scanning over the pages,"These are so cool!"

Jay shrugged,"Could be better, could be worse."

"Still, it's way better than I could do." Terishi closed it.

Jay shrugged again.

"Well, Jay. It's been a pleasure but I should probably head back to my dorm." Terishi handed them back the art book.

Jay nodded,"Same to you."

"Bye." Terishi waved, closing the door behind her.

"Ahem, this is Monokuma speaking! This is your night time announcement. Sleep tight, don't let any murderers bite!~" Monokuma announced through the intercom.
