Something about Saddles

Soooo quick apology for the previous chapter, but honestly that's how I feel. Western confuses me XD

But, to saddles.

For pretty much as long as I've been riding(which isn't as long as others, unfortunately), I've ridden in preeeety plush dressage saddles. Even the "more uncomfortable" ones were the soft seats(quick note, same for any western saddle I've been in, but that was like maybe three times, so erase it from your memory). But I suppose I would always feel like I was riding a little funky, and that the seat of the saddle was weird.

But then I started riding in an older evening saddle, and like this thing is rock solid. Literally no padding at all. If you rap on it, it's like knocking a door. Butcha know what?

It's more comfortable!

I have no idea why. I mean, yeah the others are softer, but I ride better in this, I sit straighter(it defiantly reminds me to sit up straight when I'm posting), and it's all together a smoother ride.

I didn't know that there were specific saddles that were either padded, or hard like this one. I figured it was just some specific way a brand made their saddles, or line of saddles, but no—padded or hard seats is an actual thing.

And I, for one, like hard!

Any thoughts from you guys?
