After singing and praying in church, Emily came over to take Damari to the council meeting that's about to start. Damari wish Molly goodbye and hoping to see her again. Molly wish her a goodbye as well and told her to take care before Emily takes Damari to the Heaven's Courthouse. Damari thanked Emily for taking her there before catching up to Charlie and Vaggie who are already here. As she comes up to them where Charlie and Vaggie are sat down, Adam walks by on his way to his seat with Lute. Charlie sees him and groans.

"Oh no, not him again!"

Adam flies up and sits down beside Lute.

"What up, baby? Saw that you went to my manager. Low blow, Karen." Adam grinned before facing Damari. "Hello there, hottie! The name's Adam. The first original dick master."

Cain then became a fugitive because his brother's innocent blood put a curse on him. How was love and care even help when your own son killed your other son?"

This made everyone murmur in agreement while Charlie and Vaggie were shocked that Damari knows Adam's story. Adam snarled in embarrassment as he glared at Damari, who smirked.

"Angel, enough with the Val talk. He already ruined your whole day, don't let him ruin your night too." Cherri cheered him up and then held out three pills. "Here, take one of these and you won't be worrying about nothing."

"Yes, he will. It takes time to get over the things you're used to. The way I see it, he's protecting his friends. That's pretty selfless, don't you think, old man?" Damari stated.

Adam was in shock that she just called him old as his mouth agape.

I don't know why but I was sent to Hell and that those demons and sinners have more heart and compassion who took me in and protected me and showed me that they aren't evil as I thought. If I haven't met them and get to know them, I would've been dead already." Damari explained, looking at Charlie and Vaggie, who came back, with a smile.

"And? What if they're not as "compassion" as you said they are? They're probably lying to you to get you to become one of them and just using you for their own personal benefit." Adam bluntly said.

"That's not true! Damari's aware of that and wouldn't trust people that easily. Besides, she was also trained by an Overlord to help her protect and defend herself." Vaggie piped up, feeling confident.

"It's true. It's not just sinners and demons, but overlords can also have a good heart. They never ask me for my soul either. And I believe anyone can change. Angel was the first sinner I've ever met and he was the one who protected me from harm and introduced me to a Hazbin Hotel. He's kind, funny, and very brave. And I'm glad that I met him." The angels observing the court all murmur together.

"This questioning stops now." Sera said abruptly. "We know when a soul arrives, we know when they pass divine judgment, it is our job to ensure these souls are safe."

Emily summoned the paper Adam wrote and looked through it on what a should needed to be redeemed. She starts singing and shows Sera the list.

"How can I bring joy when I now know we are bringing misery to thousands of innocent people?"

"Heaven needs us, Emily. Everyone looks to us... and we can't doubt ourselves or worry about the fates of demons when we have our own souls to protect. Please.... if you start to question... you could end up like Lucifer: Fallen. I couldn't bear to see you suffer that fate, so please, let me worry about this, ok?"
