A/N: Just wanted to show you all an art of Damari in her Swimsuit 2024 Playmat design! Art drawn by HelluvaOCCustom from Etsy that I bought from her!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After many dancing and filming with Valentino, it was now Vox's turn as he led Damari to an elevator, and then they made it to their destination. Vox stepped out of the elevator, his screen-like head shining.
"We're here."
He smirked a little, looking down at Damari. They made it to what it appeared to be a news broadcast room but much more fancier, and it's all blue and light blue with "666 News" logo in the background. There is also a blue sofa for one guest to sit next to the desk.
"We'll be doing a breaking news." Vox informed her.
"About what?" Damari asked curiously.
"About you." he answered.
This shocked her.
"W-Why? They're not supposed to know that I'm working with you. And I'm a HUMAN, remember?"
"And that's the best part. It will be big. Especially when you're also a Nephalem. Now that will certainly get them entertained by it." Vox explained.
"But I don't know anything about being a Nephalem. It just happens and I'm still figuring out how that happened." Damari shook her head.
"Relax, it'll be fine. Just tell them what you know so far. Plus, you're working for us. It'll get some paparazzi to leave you alone." he assured her.
"I doubt it." she scoffed.
He chuckled, reaching a hand over to ruffle her hair.
"Either way, the ratings will go through the roof. Everyone will want to know about you and your 'mysterious' powers."
"Now, sit down there on the sofa. I'll go get the cameras on and start our broadcast." he instructed, gesturing to the sofa.
He went behind the desk, and a moment later, the cameras started to glow. It was time for their broadcast to start.
Damari knew this was going to happen and hoped none of her friends from the Hazbin Hotel weren't watching this. She took a deep breath and did a best smile as she could as Vox started his report.
"Top of the hour, and we're discussing about a human who somehow came into Hell without dying! I'm proud to announce that she's here on live!"
The camera showed a smiling Damari as she waved at it.
Vox was beside her, looking at the camera with a sly smirk.
"Isn't she a darling? Such a lovely young lady." he commented, placing a hand on Damari's shoulder.
"Hehe... Charmed." Damari said a bit uncomfortable.
He chuckled lightly, gently squeezing her shoulder.
"Now, darling..." he began, his voice gaining a more serious tone, "the big question. How did you end up in Hell without dying?"
Damari looked at the camera nervously and did the shortest answer as she could without giving a full reveal, especially with Lucifer knowing about it.
"I somehow came from the music box that looked pretty ancient and gothic, and when I opened it, the bright light blinded me, and I somehow ended up here."
Vox's screen head seemed intrigued, as he tapped a finger on the desk.
"Very interesting. And you're the only human here, aren't you? I don't recall another human being in Hell before, hm?"
"No. I don't think any other human would survive in this Hell unless they're lucky like me. Like I know how to fight." Damari said, hiding the fact about Dante's Inferno since Vox knows about it.
Vox hummed, the interest still on his screen-like face.
"Fighting? So, you're not a damsel in distress, is that it?" he teased.
"No, never. No one should underestimate me." Damari said with a chuckle. "But if you do, you get a beat down."
Vox chuckled, clearly enjoying Damari's confidence.
"Ohohoh, feisty as well, nice! The viewers will definitely love you." he said, his gaze flicking upward for a moment to look at the view counter.
His eyes widened a little in surprise, as he read the view counter. It was skyrocketing.
"Ohohohohoho... this is extremely good." he chuckled, grinning widely now. "And may I ask, how did it feel to fight THE Adam himself after that 6 months of Extermination? After all, you and your... Hotel friends had fought off angels and won the battle. And what about your Nephalem form? How does that feel?" he asked.
Damari was surprised at how sudden that question was, but she kept herself composed and answered.
"Fighting Adam was a challenge, but we were united and overcame it. My Nephalem form..."
She hesitated for a moment, as images of her using that form to kill and destroy passed through her mind. But she quickly shook it off.
"It's... different. It feels like I'm in touch with a part of myself I didn't know before, and my powers are almost limitless."
Vox's screen-like face showed intense interest at this answer. As he looked at the view counter again, he could practically see the numbers climbing even more.
"My, my, look at those numbers. The viewers are in love with you." he chuckled, "And I can see why. You're powerful, charming, and quite the beauty."
"Right... But I did it to protect the people I cared about the most." Damari said, smiling a bit.
Vox chuckled, but it sounded a bit sardonic.
"Ohohoh, of course. You fought to protect your dear friends, so noble."
He paused, the sardonic tone being more noticable as he kept talking.
"But I bet you enjoyed it too, right? The rush. The absolute power. That delicious feeling of being the dominant one instead of being dominated."
"No, not really. It does make me feel powerful, but I wouldn't say 'enjoyed' more like still need to process."
Vox rolled his eyes, not completely believing her. Though, he decided to humor her with a response nonetheless.
"Ohohoho, sure thing. You don't enjoy it at all, you still 'need to process it'. That's why you continue to use your powers whenever you can." he said, the sarcasm thick in his voice.
Damari noted the sarcasm and frowned.
"I'm actually serious. I know you overlords enjoy power. Tell me, Vox. What happens when you get everything you want, but you're left with no one by your side? Will you enjoy an eternity of being alone?"
Vox froze at her question, as if caught completely off guard by it. His screen-like face flickered for a moment, and then it turned to that sardonic smile again.
"Who ever said I was alone? I have my associates, Valentino and Velvette, right along with me." he said, a hint of defensiveness in his voice.
"And what will that cost you?" Damari glared.
Vox rolled his eyes once more, his annoyance starting to show. But he still kept a smirk on his face.
"Cost me? Cost me nothing but what I give them: Protection, recognition, the benefits of my empire. I don't see the problem, sweetheart." he retorted, his tone still slightly defensive.
"....If you're so sure, then I shouldn't be like the rest of you overlords that enjoyed power. I would rather use my power to protect, not control. And excuse me for being off-topic, shouldn't you also ask me about the Hazbin Hotel? It's not just me that took down the angels."
Vox's expression darkened a little, as her words began to annoy him. He was losing his patience, but he had to keep himself composed in front of the cameras. He let out a scoff.
"Oh, I'm not asking about that ridiculous hotel. I know all about it. Run by... that failure of a Radio Demon, isn't it? Pathetic, if you ask me."
"More like he tried his best. Sure, he's... mysterious in his own way." she defended him.
Vox's screen face showed his irritation, as he rolled his eyes again.
"Tried his best? What a laugh. The Radio Demon, a failure now reduced to a... pathetic hotel manager. What a downgrade. He's been here for decades and still hasn't managed to take over all of Hell. It's laughable, and you're defending him."
The demon coworkers that are on set and recording them started to get nervous at seeing the tension between the TV demon Overlord and a human girl.
Vox seemed to notice the nervous glances from the other demons, and he quickly regained his composure. He forced a forced a grin, and he tried to act more charming as he spoke again.
"Ah, but enough talk about the Radio Demon. We're talking about you here. My viewers are far more interested in you, darling."
Damari sighed, not wanting to start a fight after seeing those demons nervous. She'd rather not let them see her bad side again, fearing she might actually hurt them.
"What other questions do you want to know about me?"
Vox chuckled, his ego slightly soothed after hearing her give in. He thought for a moment, taking a few seconds to glance at the view counter again and seeing the numbers still rapidly increasing. He smirked.
"Hmm, oh I have plenty questions about you. But I'll start with this: You said you're a Nephalem."
"Yes?"
Vox leaned forward a bit, his gaze on her turning more intense.
"How true is that? What powers do you have? I've never heard of another 'Nephalem' in all my years in Hell."
"I... don't know. Probably my transformation. But that's all I know. I know I have abilities to make a shield, throw blasts, telekinesis, and well, that's it." Damari shrugged.
Vox seemed mildly intrigued by her answer, though he still kept a hint of skepticism on his face.
"A shield, energy blast, telekinesis. Impressive, for a human."
He thought for a moment, before leaning forward even more.
"And the transformation? What exactly does it look like? I've heard many rumors and wild stories."
"Half demon and half angel. That's all I could describe based on what my friends have told me."
Vox's screen head widened at her words, as his interest grew. A half demon, half angel? That sounded quite extraordinary to him.
"Hmm, half demon, half angel... that's interesting. Very interesting."
He leaned back in his chair, tapping his fingers on the desk as he continued, his tone becoming slightly more serious.
"And how much control do you have over that transformation?"
"I don't know. I never got the chance to try again." Damari said.
Vox smirked, his interest seeming to grow even more.
"Really? So, the transformation just happens on its own. How curious."
He chuckled, the sound almost wicked.
"And what happens when you... 'lose control?'"
Damari's eyes widened and started to get uncomfortable, flashbacking to her killing Adam after he killed Pentious.
"I... honestly would rather have them kill me before I kill them."
Vox's face showed a bit of shock at her words, as his screen face flickered a little. He didn't expect her response to be that extreme.
"Kill you? Wait, wait, wait. That's going a bit too far, isn't it? You're right, you're the first human in Hell. Killing yourself would be a waste, darling."
He tried to sound reassuring, but there was an undertone of concern in his voice. Vox leaned in closer to her, his voice now laced with a hint of seriousness.
"You can't just talk about killing yourself like that, sweetheart. It's... extreme. And besides, you're special. You're powerful. You have the potential to accomplish so much. Surely, you don't think it would be worth throwing it all away...?"
"I... don't know anymore. Though all I ever wanted was to go back to Earth..." Damari said, knowing she's getting off-topic, but she need to let it out, not caring if they're watching this.
Vox froze at her words, and his eyes widened. He didn't expect her to say that, and he was not prepared to hear that. He quickly collected himself, not wanting to show how surprised he was.
"Wait, go back to Earth? Why would you want to go back there? Earth's a shithole, literally!"
"Not all bad. Sure, it's messed up, but there are a lot of good things that you're missing."
Vox leaned back in his chair, a frown on his face.
"Good things? Like what? Human society is a cesspit. It's filled with war, cruelty, and ignorance. Why would you want to go back to a place like that?"
"I have a good family up there. And to end this broadcast, if anyone wants to know about me, don't. It's making me uncomfortable. And if you guys don't get a hint..."
Her face darkens, and her eyes glow a different colored as she glares at the camera.
"Then I won't hesitate to annihilate you..."
Vox was taken aback by Damari's sudden shift in demeanor, and he flinched a bit at her glare. The camera demons in the back seemed to be even more nervous, glancing at each other with fearful expressions...
Vox composed himself and chuckled nervously, trying to keep the broadcast going somehow.
"O-okay, let's keep this friendly, shall we?"
He looked at the screen, seeing the view count rapidly climb higher. He could practically hear the viewers eating up the tension between them, and he knew he couldn't stop this anytime soon.
"Darling, please... calm down. You're just making yourself look bad in front of more people..."
"...I don't care. Even if I ask them to leave me alone, they won't listen. If anyone wants to be redeemed, you guys can go to Hazbin Hotel, where Charlie is working. I know there are some of you who want to change, and I don't care about what you guys did that made you all come down here. Just give it a try." Damari said, still believing Charlie's hotel will success.
Vox's eyes widened at her mention of the Hazbin Hotel, and his annoyance returned. He could feel a hint of anger building up, but he forced himself to remain composed.
"Hazbin Hotel... Charlie's hotel. Seriously? You're actually trying to advertise that dump right here and now?"
"Well, you want to know about me, right? I am part of the hotel's designer." Damari pointed out. "Just suggesting this."
Vox sighed at this and decided to end this broadcast here and there. He forced a charming smile as he spoke, though his irritation was still thinly veiled.
"Thank you for your interview. And there you have it, folks. There's your answer to this mysterious human beauty here. That's all for today's broadcast. Hope you enjoyed it, and we'll see you next time."
He turned to look at Damari, his smile faltering for a moment as he tried to keep his anger in check.
"Alright, darling. We're done here..."
Damari sighed, shoulders slumped as she got up to go grab some water. Vox watched her go, his eyes following her movements. He noticed her slumped shoulders and sighed softly, a hint of irritation still in his voice.
"You know, you could at least act a little less miserable. The viewers were loving you."
"I don't even care about viewers. Just simply expressing myself." Damari said before drinking her water.
Vox rolled his eyes at her response, and his irritation flared up again. He couldn't understand her lack of care for the viewers, and it was getting on his nerves.
"Expressing yourself? That's cute. But let's be real here, darling. You're a pretty face, and people are eating it up. Why not just play the part already?"
"Nope. Not my thing."
Vox's irritation continued to grow, and he couldn't hold back his annoyance any longer. He leaned in closer, a slight edge in his voice.
"Not your thing? Seriously? You're beautiful, charismatic, and powerful—and you're saying you don't want to play up to that? You really don't care about being admired or desired?"
Damari stopped drinking her water and slowly turned to him with a glare as her eyes began to glow once again.
"Excuse me? You think I want that? I only did it because it's my job and I agreed to work with you guys to get my mind off of things like me killing the first man that I can't seem to get it out, no thanks to you." she ranted, not realizing she's stomping towards him until she's towering over him. "What would you know about me? Besides power and fame that you Vees only care about."
Vox's initial reaction to her glare was shock, and he instinctively backed away for a moment. But as she continued her rant and loomed over him, he tried to maintain his composure and forced a smirk.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa... hold on a second. Relax, darling. I was just making an observation."
He paused, his expression growing more serious.
"You're the one who's powerful and beautiful, yet you don't want to use it. It's just odd, is all..."
She then punched the wall besides his head, causing him to flinch.
"Don't even try. Remember this, we had a deal that I work with you guys and not to make me feel uncomfortable than I already had. If you do that again, the deal is off. And remember, I still have my own soul. Got it?"
Vox's eyes widened as she punched the wall, and he flinched at the noise and the force of the impact. He felt a pang of fear and intimidation, but he tried to keep up his usual confident demeanor.
"Whoa, alright, alright... I got it, I got it."
He held up his hand, as if to placate her.
"No need to get violent, darling. We agreed on the terms, and I'll stick to them. No more uncomfortable questions or comments..."
He paused for a moment, his smirk growing slightly.
"But I gotta admit, it's kind of hot when you get all feisty like that..."
Damari's face turned pink in shock and immediately backed away, her feature back to normal.
"Ugh!! You sick!!"
Vox chuckled at her reaction, his amusement growing at the sight of her blushing and backing away. He couldn't help but find it amusing.
"Oh, come on, darling. Don't act so uptight. Can't a demon find your fiery side attractive?"
He leaned back in his chair, his smirk turning smug as he continued to prod at her.
"Admit it, you secretly like it when someone acknowledges how powerful and beautiful you are... even if it's coming from me."
"Shut up!! It's meant to scare you! I literally punched the wall!!" she shouted, looking embarrassed.
Vox chuckled, his amusement growing even more. He could sense her embarrassment and attempted feigned annoyance, finding it oddly endearing.
"Oh, please... I'm not scared. I've seen worse than a punch to the wall. And if that's your attempt at being scary, darling, you need to try harder than that."
He couldn't help but tease her further, his voice dripping with a hint of mischief.
"Infact, I quite enjoyed it. You looked adorable, trying to act all tough and authoritative..."
Damari knew that telling him like this would only make Vox think it in a different pervert kind of way.
"Whatever." she scoffed, turning away. "Aren't there other things you want me to work on with you besides news broadcast?"
Vox chuckled at her response, finding her attempted deflection to be cute. He thought for a moment, mulling over her question.
"Ah, yes... there are a few other things we can work on together. But first, let me ask you something."
He leaned forward in his chair, a sly expression on his face. Vox paused for a moment before continuing, his tone turning slightly sultry.
"Are you sure you don't secretly enjoy stirring up a bit of drama? Seems like you're having fun messing with me a bit, darling..."
She immediately covered her ears.
"Can't hear you! Lalalalalala!"
Vox chuckled at her response, and he couldn't help but find her childish attempts to drown out his voice to be amusing.
"Come on now, don't be like that..."
He leaned forward a bit more, his voice becoming even more suave.
"You can't deny the fact that you're enjoying this little game between us, sweetie."
"Can we like drop the subject and get to working?!!" she shouted.
Vox chuckled again, relishing in her attempts to steer the conversation away. He decided to tease her a bit more before finally relenting.
"Oh, alright, darling. If you insist... but don't think I'll forget about this later, okay?"
He leaned back in his chair, a smug smile on his face.
"Now, let's discuss what else we can work on together, shall we?"
Damari couldn't feel more relieved to hear about it, wanting to forget their earlier... "argument."
Vox noticed her relief and couldn't help but find it rather endearing. It was as if she was trying to act tough and unbothered, but deep down, she was just a shy, flustered mess.
He chuckled to himself and decided to focus on the task at hand, his tone shifting to a more business-like tone.
"So, now that we've got that out of the way, I have a few projects that I could use your help with..."
