CHAPTER 1 

It was night time in the mansion house , 3 families were gathered without their children brought in the mansion except for one family who brought their 4 child's , 3 sons and a daughter, all families were there, my two brothers and I , especially my sister were told to play upstairs therefore in the living room were only adults , the nanny shut the door of the living room and my mother and father waited for the another family to come.

My mother tried to speak but she was shush by her own birth mother and older sister to wait for their youngest sister, My grandmother was sitting in the center with an elegant chair, at last , grandmother's youngest daughter came in, Grandmother spoke to everybody saying, 

"All men in this room will wait outside, I will talk with my 3 daughters, all men in this room do you understand?" 

The husband of the three daughters go outside of the living room wait, the doors were shut and the windows were closed, and their air-conditioned was turned on.

The Grandmother spoke to her daughters,

"We are gathered here today to address the concern of your 2nd sister, Aurora, first lets hear her" 

The 2nd sister speak and told her mother, 

"Mother I was just asking, and I want to get a permission to you , I want to plant something in my land which you lend to me in my name , it will not bother my youngest sisters land or my older sister , I was just asking permission saying yes or no."

The youngest sister spoke, 

"It is okay for me older sis , it's now your turn to have a favor to our mother because all of you signed the agreement I my land that which I owned now, so there's no problem here"

The older sister stare at her 2nd sister and she spoke, 

"Mother isn't her plant will be bothering us, she didn't even tell us what plant will it be ? Aren't you having a favor too much now?"

My mother replied to her sister nicely, 

Sister I was planning to plan a palm oil tree, it's very trending and it is on top selling in the market , I will not bother your land but I just want to get a permission, 

Her older sister Interrupted saying, 

Oh palm oil? , Mother that palm oil will be bothering us, do you know how big it is to used up the soil, even the soil will not be good enough for it,

Someone opens the door , it was the son and daughter of an adult age of the 3 sisters' older brother, they politely sit and got into the living room silently and close the door. 

The Grandmother decided unto something, now her two adult age grand children here, she now wants to divide the land if they kept arguing,the Grandmother speak,

"We'll divide the land for the best into 5, let's draw cards, each land will have it's designated place," 

I was bored upstairs , I went to my mother In the living room and interrupted their conversation the whole room was quiet and stared at my movements , I told mother,

"Mother I'm hungry can I have that crispy chips" 

My mother replied, 

Honey we don't own that chips 

My cousin says,

It's okay dear come have a chips, 

I smiled at mother her eyes were soulless and pale , I left the room and ate the chips , 

I got upstairs the conversation of the adults continued, they were now talking about the land they now draw the cards,

For the older sister, she got the part where the land and soil is the worst especially the location,

For the younger sister , she got the best land,

For the two niece of my mother, they got the good one,

For my mother she got a well land that is fine,

Her older sister got mad for the land, my mother suggestly said why don't we switch our draws , my mother kindly switches with her older sister , and the older sister's look was vague and relentless, Then grandmother interrupted said this,

"Sure just switch , surely your palm oil is worthless and will die , "

My mother was shocked by the words of my grandmother, then my older sister told my mother, 

"You're palm oil plant will just withered and dissipate like a human would do,"

My mother spoke to grandmother , 

"Mother , I want to plant this , it is my dream , mother hope you respect it , it will not bother my niece and my sister,"

My mother slowly went into tears , her older sister spoke,

"Your younger sister will have an hard time of your crazy plant, you don't even know if it is successful, it will bother all of us, you didn't even think it through,"

The younger sister then replied,

"I think it will bother my land sis , your plant ? I just thought it was just sugar cane or wheat but this is just crazy a palm oil really?"

My mother felt defeated , she felt every body was cornering her , her niece didn't reply and said to anything and was busy with the phone, 

Then grandmother speak, 

"Your palm oil will be the burden of your sister, don't you see?, And now you're claiming land now? It is okay if it was just a regular plant but put this words in your throat your just a worthless child, take your 3 sons and 1 daughter with you and get out  of our land," 

Mother felt threatened about she claiming the land, then her sister told her, what did you today,

My mother slowly replied,

Every Friday we closed our clinic, it's just I relaxed ,

Her older sister told her ,

"you closed your clinic every Friday, what if you take care of the land in the province of your mother? , You know its hard right , but your asking for a favor,"

Grandmother slapped her 2nd daughter ,my mother cried , begging and telling her sorry to her sisters and niece, grandmother told her,

"Don't touch the land which you don't own , that land is for my grandkids future don't use that land for your own comfort", I told you to get out" 

My mother kept crying and crying , she told grandmother sorry, we were called by our parents. My mother's face was devastating , as father was there , his brother in law was avoiding him for no reason, it's like the family was outcast already.

My sister held my mother's hands , I stare right into the living room and all were staring at my brothers ,  sister, mother , father and I as we were kicked out of the mansion, mothers crying voice became louder and louder, then the gates were closed.
