I've heard of some people using google to search for images and that's okay, however let me introduce you to a better way to find images.

On google, the best images sometimes have custom watermarks. Like this:

Nobody wants an image where the watermark is reflecting in the background as that's both inconvenient and unprofessional for a book you definitely want people to read.

Plus, you might not get an image that tallies with Wattpad's measurement for photos which is 512 x 800 pixels.

However, on Pinterest, you get both an image that is properly measured, and crystal clear.

Okay, so like I said in the previous chapter, you need to know what you want. Why? Cause you're going to have to search it up on Pinterest.

In my experience, it goes a long way to be specific when searching up what you want.

For example, if I'm looking for a black couple, I search up things like "Black couples in love"

That seems easy right? Wait until your book has a concept that isn't common, like a dark theme, or zombie characters, or you're searching for images of people of a specific profession in love, etc etc.

For example, a werewolf book with a human MC. When I had to make a cover for someone on that, I didn't know what to search to get an image that had both humans and werewolves in them at first. But then I searched up "human-werewolf aesthetic" and I found some images after several tries.

Okay, so you're on Pinterest. Search for what you want and try to be specific but to still word your preferences properly.

A TON of images will pop up. And you'll find many that you like but truthfully have nothing to do with what you initially wanted for your book. Don't let them tempt you! Instead of downloading them all, you can create a folder on Pinterest for those you wanna save cause you'd like to use them in the future. It's very simple.

When you see an image, click on "SAVE" and options of the folder you want to add it to will pop up. Those can be for future references if perhaps you find an image that's catchy but has nothing to do with what you went there to find in the first place.

However when you do find what you were looking for, click on the ellipses (...). Options will pop out, one of them being "download image". Now the picture is saved to your phone and you're ready for the next step.

TIP: It's best to accompany "photography" with whatever you search for because then, professionally taken pictures by actual photographers will pop up. These pictures have been taken at all the right angles and will give your cover a more mature and professional look than perhaps using a good looking bathroom selfie would.
