When the morning came and sunlight started streaming into his room, Adrien was already up out of bed and dressed in his normal clothes. Ready for the day, he went to the blacksmith shop to get Plagg's new tail fin and started heading to the cove. But on the way, he stopped over at the docks and got a half full basket of fish that the fishermen had caught that morning, followed by a walk over to the cheese vendor. Once at the stall, Adrien filled the remaining half of the basket with camembert and other cheeses that he thought Plagg might enjoy, much to his nose's protest and the vendor's confusion. As far as he and the village knew, Adrien never liked foul smelling cheeses that much.

Paying for the cheese, Adrien then started to make his way back over to the cove. It didn't take long for him to make it after heading there for the third time that week. So when he entered through the crack in the walls like the day before, he saw Plagg waiting for him on the other side of the cove, close to the wall near the waterfall adjacent to the spilling roots.

"Hey, Plagg." Adrien called out, causing the dragon to rise to his feet while the boy walked closer.

"I brought breakfast, buddy." the blonde announced as he placed the basket onto the ground, the tail fin tucked under his arm.

"I hope you're hungry." Adrien said he tipped out the basket, revealing the assortment of fish and cheese it had inside. At the sight of the food, Plagg's eagerness was piqued.

"Ok, that's disgusting." The boy groaned as Plagg started to creep over to the slimy pile, with Adrien backing away at the same time. As Plagg reached the pile, he started to sniff it in curiosity.

"We've got some camembert, some brie, some salmon, some nice Icelandic cod... and a whole smoked eel." Adrien listed off as Plagg started to dig in. But as soon as Adrien had said the word 'eel', Plagg tensed up and started growling at the pile before backing away from it. Seeing how Plagg had reacted, Adrien reached into the pile, and picked up the eel, raising it up to Plagg. As soon as Plagg saw it, he roared in fright as he tried to get away from it.

"No, no, no, no, no! It's ok." the blonde reassured as he threw away the eel from them, to which calmed Plagg down immediately, much to the boy's relief.

"Yeah, I don't really like eels much, either." Adrien admitted as he wiped off his hand on the front of his vest to rid itself of the eel's slime. After that, Plagg immediately dove into the fish and cheese, which Adrien was glad for since it meant that he was now distracted.

"That's it." the boy egged on as he started to sneak around Plagg, the dragon digging into his breakfast.

"That's it. Just stick with the good stuff." Adrien continued to softly goad as he quietly creeped behind Plagg, the dragon holding its slightly unfolded wings up in the air.

"And don't you mind me. I'll just be back here, minding my own business." the boy quietly remarked to himself as he snuck over to the end of Plagg's tail. Once he was where he needed to be, and Plagg still feasting on the cheese and fish in front of him, Adrien crouched to the ground next to the finless part of Plagg's tail and placed the rolled up replacement fin next to it.

Adrien scooted the contraption closer to Plagg's tail, but the Chat Noir Fury unconsciously moved it away from the boy. In response, he looked up to see if Plagg had noticed what he was trying to do, but the dragon was too busy eating to even pay attention to him. Once again, Adiren pulled the replacement fin towards Plagg's tail, but the dragon moved it again. Beginning to become irritated with Plagg's unconscious antics, Adrien decided to lift the new fin and move close. But Plagg moved his tail again before he got close enough to it, then lifted his appendage up into the air, right up to Adrien's eyes. Surprised, the boy decided to take matters into his own hands and grabbed the tail before pushing it back down on the ground.

"It's okay." Adrien reassured as he looked back at the distracted Plagg. Seeing his chance, Adrien placed the new fin onto the ground and grabbed Plagg's tail to keep it from moving as it went to rise in the air again. But when he attempted to hold it down, it continued to move side to side while Adrien tried to grab the replacement fin to strap it on.

Meanwhile Plagg had finished eating all of the fish that had spilled out of the basket, and moved forward to stick his head into the basket to get the remaining food. Due to the sudden movement, Adrien was dragged forward as well. But with Plagg distracted even further, he took his chance and dragged the new fin over to the dragon's tail. Quickly, Adrien repositioned himself so that he was facing the rock wall behind Plagg, and sat on the dragon's tail to keep it from moving. From there, he got to work strapping the fin to the tail. But as he finally gets the replacement fin strapped on,

However, Adrien didn't notice that Plagg had finished eating and could feel Adrien attaching the new fin. In his curiosity, the basket dropped from his snout before he used his remaining tail fin to get a clue of what was on his tail. When he realised what Adrien was doing, Plagg's mouth dropped in shock, his wings unfolded all the way before plummeting to the ground. As Adrien was finishing tightening the straps of the fin on Plagg's tail, he was totally unaware of Plagg lifting his wings into the air, ready to take off to the skies. A few seconds after Plagg raised his wings, Adrien had finally finished strapping on the new fin and leaning back to admire his handy work, gently unfolding both fins to admire his work.

"Okay. That's not too bad. It works." the blonde concluded as he took in his work. But he didn't have much time to pat himself on the back, because Plagg crouched to the ground and took off into the air.

"Whoa!'' Adrien cried out as Plagg climbed higher into the air, holding onto the dragon's tail for dear life.

"Whooaa!" the boy screamed while Plagg continued to climb into the air, coming to rise above the water of the cove and towards the trees of the forest, using his legs as extra force.

"No, no, no, no!" Adrien protested as he lurched up and down while Plagg rose higher. But in his panic, he noticed that the tail fin he strapped onto Plagg's tail was not staying open, and remained folded as Plagg flew through the air. In response, Plagg's flying didn't last long, for he was about to crash land again due to the fin not being open.

"Whoa!" the blonde screamed as Plagg hurtled to the stone wall of the cove. But just before Plagg was about to crash, Adrien grabbed the bottom of the tail fin, and pulled it open. Immediately, Plagg was able to pull up before he hit the ground and shot into the sky, climbing higher.

"Oh, my...! It's working!!" Adrien exclaimed before he turned the fin to the right, causing Plagg to bank to the right and come back around in the air. As the dragon banked, he headed back into the cove, gliding above the water of the lake.

"Yes! Yes I did it!" the boy cheered from his spot on Plagg's tail. Unfortunately for him, Plagg heard his cheers. With a quick glance at his tail, Plagg saw Adrien on his tail and flipped him off, making him land in the water. But once Adrien was off, the tail closed back up and Plagg fell in right after him, landing in the water with a crash.

"YEAH" Adrien shouted in accomplishment after he surfaced from his impromptu swim, choosing to not let the cold morning water stop him from celebrating.

(Time skip)

"Today is about teamwork." Gorilla proclaimed before the large double doors in the arena burst open, smoke billowing out while each student had a bucket of water with them.

After Adrien tested his invention, he found an alcove in the stone walls of the cove and decided to keep it there so he didn't have to lug it every time he went to visit Plagg. Once he did, he went back home, got changed from his wet clothes, and headed to dragon training class... which was now attempting to cover the Purple Viperion Zippleback.

"Now, a wet dragon head can't light its fire. The Purple Viperion Zippleback is extra tricky." Nathalie lectured as the class broke up into three teams: Adrien/Nino/Max, Alya/Marinette/Juleka, and Kim/Luka, all with buckets full of water in their arms.

"One head breaths a flammable deja vu-inducing gas, and the other head lights it up to create a very destructive fire." Gorilla added on as the smoke surrounded the students, low growling being heard as they kept watch of their surroundings.

"Your job is to know which is which." Nathalie instructed as the others looked for the dragon in the fog. As they did, Nino and Max started rambling facts about the dragon out loud.

"Razor sharp serrated teeth that inject venom for pre-digestion." Nino recited as he, Adrien and Max were back to back and slowly turning around to keep lookout.

"Prefers ambush attack, crushing its victims..." Max added on, holding his bucket close to his chest.

"WOULD YOU TWO PLEASE STOP THAT!!!" Adrien whispered, not wanting to hear the gruesome ways this particular dragon could kill them all. Now silenced, they and the other groups stayed together, keeping a watchful eye out as they searched the thick fog.

"If that dragon shows either of his faces, I'm gonna..." Kim began as the dragon's growls grew closer, only to see a dragon like figure in front of him and Luka

"THERE!!" the muscle head cried out before he and Luka threw their water at the figure. But they were met with shouts of surprise as the fog cleared to reveal the girls.

"HEY!! It's us, idiots." Alya hissed, not happy with getting water thrown at her.

"Your butts are getting bigger. We thought you were a dragon." Kim rudely remarked before he snickered to himself, only for Luka to realise the implications of what he just said.

"Not that there's anything wrong with a dragonesque figure!" Luka added, hoping to soften the blow of Kim's words. But it failed to do so, causing Marinette to come up to Kim and punch him in the face after setting her bucket onto the ground.

"OW!" Kim cried in pain, falling to the ground. After Kim got his punishment, Juleka threw her bucket at Luka, soaking him head to toe as he landed on the ground.

"That's for the water." Juleka explained as Luka sat up. But before they could get up from the ground, Luka and Kim were suddenly dragged further into the fog. Once they were out of sight, the growls and quiet roars grew louder, making the rest of the group nervous as they heard Luka and Kim screaming in terror inside the fog.

"Wait." Marinette told the group, keeping Juleka from trying to go after her brother out of concern. Slowly, she went to grab her bucket from the ground. But the girls were suddenly tripped up by a tail slashing out from the fog, sending them to the ground and the bucket to drop. Right after their fall, Kim and Luka came running out of the fog

"OH I AM HURT! I AM VERY MUCH HURT!!" Kim cried out as he and Luka ran to the exit, going right by Adrien, Nino and Max.

"Chances of survival are dwindling into single digits now." Max muttered nervously, noticing they were the last ones left. Just then, one of the heads of the dragon came slithering out of the fog, intently staring at Nino and Max. Freaking out, both boys threw their buckets of water on it. Unfortunately for them, the head started to breathe out gas instead of sparks.

"Oh, wrong head." Nino remarked, right before the dragon sprays them both with the gas, sending them into a trance.

"NINO!!" "MAX!!" Gorilla and Nathalie shouted in worry, before Nino and Max ran away before the effects of the gas set in, leaving Adrien alone with the dragon. Once the boys were gone, the first head shifted its attention onto Adrien, just as the other head looked over at him while igniting its sparks.

"Now, Adrien!" Gorilla exclaimed as the Purple Viperion Zippleback lifted its heads into the air, towering above Adrien. Following his instructor's advice, Adrien ran up to the dragon and threw the water up at the dragon. But it misses it completely, landing on the ground in front of the boy and dragon.

"Oh, come on." Adrien groaned as the dragon moved its head down to the boy's level. Seeing that he had no way to defend himself, the dragon roared at Adrien, sparking its fire in preparation as the boy fell to the ground in surprise.

"ADRIEN!!" Gorilla and Nathalie screamed, attempting to run in and help Adrien. But to their surprise, the dragon backed off, allowing Adrien to get up from the ground and start advancing on the dragon.

"Back, Back, BACK!" Adrien commanded the Zippleback, driving the dragon back towards its cage.

"Now, don't you make me tell you again!" the blonde warned as everyone else in the arena was left in shock at what he was doing.

"Yes, that's right." Adrien praised as the Zippleback retreated into its cage, unaware of the local healer, Master Fu, watching as well.

"Back into your cage. Now think about what you've done." the boy said as he reached into his vest and pulled out the eel from earlier, throwing it into the cage. Once it was inside, the dragon backed away from it in fear, even going as far as scaling the wall with its rear legs to avoid the eel. With the dragon occupied, Adrien closed the cage door and turned to face the class, who were so shocked that Nino and Max dropped their empty buckets.

"Okay, so are we done? 'Cause I've got some things I need to... Yep, I'll see you tomorrow." Adrien half-heartedly explained before he ran off, leaving the rest of the group in awe. What had just happened?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Time skip)

From that day on and over the span of a few weeks, Adrien had gotten to know Plagg. Every day after class, he snuck out of the village and headed into the forest to learn more about his dragon friend. He even decided to teach himself how to ride Plagg, much to the dragon's pleasure to torture him. The Chat Noir Fury took every opportunity to tease Adrien, from when he first introduced the dragon to a saddle, to when he started making the necessary changes to allow Plagg to fly when he rode him.

But along the way to getting better, he learned a few things to help him in his classes. Such as finding a plant that clams dragons to the point of happiness, after a crash landing into a field of it...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adrien stood in the arena, the plant he discovered: Dragon Nip, in his hands as he watched the class attempt to face the newest dragon. Today, Gorilla and Nathalie had introduced the students to Rena Rouge Timberjack. While it was at a disadvantage of not being able to use its wings to cut its way to freedom, it provided a challenge to the students to take down. Though Adrien was about to get a crack at taking down the dragon after it distracted Luka with its wings and knocked him down, only to turn its sight towards Adrien. As the dragon quickly slithered over to the boy, Adrien immediately held out the Dragon Nip in his hand.

'I hope this works!' Adrien thought to himself as he stood his ground and waited for the dragon to approach him. His hope was satisfied when the Rena Rogue Timberjack stopped dead in its tracks as soon as it smelled the plant, immediately turning docile and calm. Feeling bold at the dragon's new state of behaviour, Adrien rubbed the plant on the dragon's snout, making it follow the scent as Adrien led it to fall to the ground in contentment. But for those watching in the area above the arena, Master Fu included, it looked as if Adrien had defeated the dragon with no weapon at all, leaving them both in awe and intrigued.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Or that dragons love to be scratched on their necks. But when they are scratched on the underside of their neck afterwards, they will drop to the ground in content...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That day's lesson, Gorilla and Nathalie had finally decided to have the class face off against the Pegasus Hackatoo. Most of the class had been eliminated from the running to face the King Monkey Nightmare, which only left Adrien, Alya and Marinette left. But that was the last thing on Adrien's mind as the doors to the Pegasus Hackatoo's cage flew open, allowing the dragon to skitter out into the arena. At the sight of the dragon, Alya threw her spear at it, only for the beast to knock it out of the way with its axe-like horn. Seeing that the dragon was getting closer, both Marinette and Alya dove out of the way and left Adrien alone to face the Hackatoo.

Out of nervousness, Adrien dropped the weapon in his hands and yet stood his ground as the dragon reached him. But instead of eating him right away, the dragon looked at him in curiosity. It was curious as to why Adrien wasn't attacking it. Though the moment of curiosity was interrupted by a screaming Marinette as she ran towards the dragon and boy while spinning her rope dart in her hand, intent on protecting her crush. Thinking fast, Adrien reached for the Pegasus Hackatoo's neck and did exactly what he did with Plagg the day before. Much like Plagg, the Hackatoo was revelling in the scratches it was receiving, and dropped to the ground in content. As it did, Marinette was left in shock, standing on the other side of the fallen dragon as her hand let her whip drop to the ground while staring at Adrien.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He even found out that they love to chase light from shiny things...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Meet the Kwami Terror." Gorilla announced as Nathalie opened the smallest cage door. Feeling like the students could use an easy task, both instructors felt that they should finally face the dragon. But instead of a large dragon, the students were surprised to see a tiny dragon come out of a dog sized door at the bottom of the larger iron doors. At the sight of the tiny creature, the students were left in amusement.

"Ha, it's like the size of my-" Kim taunted right before the dragon attacked him, scattering the rest of the students as it leapt from the ground and immediately latched its teeth onto his nose.

"OW, GET IT OFF!" the muscle head cried as the dragon only bit harder onto his nose, even going as far as treating it like a chew toy. But to Kim's relief, Adrien had stepped in and used the metal cap on his shield to create a beam of light to entice the Kwami Terror. At the sight of the spot of light, the Kwami Terror let go of Kim's nose.

"Oh, I'm hurt! I am very much hurt!" Kim shouted as he scrambled to his feet while the dragon was distracted by the light. From there, Adrien used the light to lead the Kwami Terror back towards its cage while the group joined back up.

"Wow! No offence Mari, but he's better than you ever were." Nino remarked, leaving Marinette a little more than upset at the comment as they watched the dragon go back into its cage. Once it was back inside, Adrien covered the door with his foot and looked back at the class, feeling accomplished.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During that time, he gained the respect of his classmates and fellow villagers, much to Marinette's displeasure, since she was the best warrior in training before he came along. The boy was her crush, but that didn't mean it would stop her from getting jealous of his new found skills and attention. But that didn't mean Adrien hadn't nearly got caught a couple of times as he went to see Plagg. But both times, it was Marinette who nearly found out. The first time was when Marinette was training in the forest...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marientte was in the forest, throwing her rope dart's dagger at a tree to practise her aiming and take her frustrations out on the unoffending flora of the forest. After a couple dozen throws, she heard footsteps behind a nearby rock. In response, she grabbed the dagger from the tree, attached it back onto her rope, and leapt over the rock, ready to attack.

But when she landed back onto the ground, she was surprised to see Adrien staring at her as he carried a basket with him and dressed in what looked like riding clothes. The two just stared at each other for a few awkward seconds, before the boy ran behind another boulder to get away. At his retreat, Marinette followed and climbed the boulder to see where he went. But when she did, it had given Adrien enough time to escape. She had lost him. Seeing that he wasn't in sight, Marinette punched the top of the rock in frustration.

"What is he up to?" Marinette muttered to herself before returning to her target practice.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The second time, however... was much more of a close call.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unknown to Marinette, Adrien had reached the cove and rigged the new adjustments to Plagg's tail as he ate the food he brought him. After that, the two went to a cliff to practise their flying, using a stump and a rope to hover in the breeze to mimic flying through the air. Using the time to take note of what foot pedal positions did to the tail, Adrien wrote them down for when they decided to do the real thing. But their attempts to learn more positions were interrupted by a partially strong breeze that pushed Adrien and Plagg far enough to snap the rope, sending them to crash in the forest. As they recovered from their crash, Plagg lifted himself from the ground, only to drag Adrien with him. Learning that he was still attached to Plagg, Adrien glanced at the hooks that kept him attached to the saddle and saw that the one on the left side of the saddle was bent over, keeping the boy and dragon stuck together.

"Oh, great." Adrien groaned as he pulled on the damaged hook.

(Time skip)

Having no choice, Adrien and Plagg headed into the village to get to the blacksmith shop to fix the saddle hook. At first, things were going pretty well. Sure they had to evade sentires that were on duty, but they managed to make it to the shop with little to no issue. But as they entered the shop and Plagg tossed a bucket to the wall with his snout, that's when things took a turn for the worse. Unbeknownst to them, Marinette had been walking home from her practising and heard a crashing sound from the blacksmith shop. Now on guard, Marientte immediately went to the shop to find out what was going on, just as Adrien found a tool to try and pry the saddle hook open.

"Adrien? Are you in there?" Marinette called out, breaking Adrien's concentration from fixing the hook, and glanced at the shop window. Thinking fast, Adrien grabbed his work apron, threw it on and leapt through the closed window to come face to face with Marinette.

"Marinette. Hey. Hi, Marinette. Hi, Marinette. Hi, Mari." Adrien nervously greeted, with the fact that he was talking to his crush and trying to hide his dragon from her playing a part in his behaviour. But unknown to Adrien, as Plagg hid just behind the closed window, he saw a sheep grazing a patch of grass near the shop.

"Look, I normally don't judge what people do, but you're acting weird." Marinette admitted as the sheep finally noticed Plagg, and stood shocked still. Deciding at that point to be curious, Plagg crept closer to the sheep, only to drag the still connected Adrien back towards the window. At the sudden pull, Adrien nervously chuckled in an attempt to alleviate the awkwardness.

"Well, weirder." the bluenette added as she stared at Adrien in apprehension. But the feeling only grew as Adrien was dragged back further towards the shop window, only to be lifted off the ground before finally being pulled through the window completely. At Adrien's sudden disappearance, Marinette ran to the window and opened it to find the shop empty. But as she looked around for her crush, Adrien and Plagg escaped through the back and made it to the empty town plaza before taking to the skies.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was after these few weeks that the expedition for the nest had returned. As the boats pulled into the harbour, they were full of scorch marks, ripped sails, and missing wood sides. Once at the dock, the vikings started to disembark with Gabriel being the first off of the nearly sinking boat. Gorilla and Nathalie, who were waiting at the dock for their friend and chief, immediately marched to meet him.

"Well, I trust you found the nest, at least?" Gorilla greeted as they approached the simmering chief.

"Not even close." Gabriel angrily replied as he walked past them, leaving the two a little apprehensive to bother him.

"Oh, goody." Nathalie groaned before she and Gorilla flanked Gabriel as they walked towards the dock's exit.

"I hope you two had a little more success than me." Gabriel admitted, his anger simmering down a bit at the familiar sight of Miraculous.

"Well, if by success, you mean that your parenting troubles are over with, then yes." Gorilla replied as he and Nathalie grabbed the empty baskets Gabriel had in his hands while they walked.

"CONGRATULATIONS GABRIEL!" a voice to their left exclaimed, causing the three to turn and see a group of vikings running down the dock towards them. Originally, they had heeded down to the docks to welcome the rest of the vikings, but they decided to spare enough time to give Gabriel some insight into what was going on in the past few weeks.

"Everyone is so relieved!" The woman viking of the group finished, before she went past him towards the damaged boats.

"Out with the old and in with the new, right?" a male viking rhetorically questioned before following the woman's lead, and went past Gabriel and his friends.

"No one will miss that nuisance." a second male viking remarked as he passed by as well.

"The village is throwing a party to celebrate!" a fourth and final viking proclaimed with a joyful jump as he followed the group, leaving Gabriel to turn and stare at Gorilla and Nathaile in worry.

"He's gone?" Gabriel asked, fearful that his only son was...

"Relax, he's not dead." Nathalie reassured, knowing that he was thinking the worst.

"They were just referring to Adrien's success in Dragon Training." the weapons specialist revealed as they continued walking.

"Success?" Gabriel asked as Nathalie and Gorilla tossed the baskets to some dock hands as they walked past them.

"But he has been disappearing most afternoons. Though who can blame him?" Gorilla added.

"The life of a celebrity is very rough. He can barely walk through the village without being swarmed by his new fans." Nathalie revealed as she jabbed Gabriel in the gut a few times with a smirk.

"Adrien?" Gabriel asked, astonished that his son has done so well in such a short amount of time.

"Who would have thought it, eh? He has this way with the beasts." Gorilla regaled, pride filling his voice.

"It's unlike anything we've seen before." Nathalie voiced, feeling the same pride as Gorilla. At their words, Gabriel smiled to himself, feeling so proud of his son's new found skills.

'That's my boy!' Gabriel thought to himself as they kept walking, hopeful to congratulate his son in the near future.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile up in the sky, Adrien was on Plagg's back as they flew in the mid afternoon sun and glided over the island. They decided to finally do a test flight and see how well the modifications he made to the saddle, and tail over the last few weeks would hold up in a real flight. So here they were, flying high in the air in the cloud cover above the island of Miraculous, thousands of miles in the air.

"Okay there Plagg? We're going to take it nice and slow." Adrien assured before he pat Plagg's side. With that, he looked down at the cheat sheet he made earlier that week.

"Here we go. Here we go. Position... three... no, four." the blonde muttered to himself as he tried to come up with the right move. Once he did, Adrien shifted the foot pedal on Plagg's side, opening up the tail so it could catch the wind. With a roll of his shoulder, Plagg flew forward and banked left before levelling out, and circled around a mountain peak. Once they cleared the mountain, Adrien looked behind him to check on the tail, only to find himself satisfied that it's doing okay.

"Okay, it's go time. It's go time." Adrien announced before Plagg dived down towards the ocean with a roar. As he neared the ocean, Plagg slowly levelled out before he hit the water, gliding forward towards an opening in a sea stack.

"Come on buddy, come on buddy!" the boy encouraged as Plagg's wings playfully skimmed the waters a little along the way to the sea stack. But soon enough, they make it past the sea stack without a hitch and fly through to the other side.

"YES, it worked!" Adrien cheered. Feeling emboldened, he decided to be a bit more daring and banked to the right. But now that they were in the more obstacle filled area of the ocean, they ended up bumping into a small sea stack.

"SORRY!" the blonde apologised before he steered Plagg to bank to the left, only to bump into another sea stack.

"That was my fault." Adrien admitted as they flew around the second sea stack. Once they were in the clear and straightened their flight path, Plagg flicked his head right and smacked Adrien with his ear, an attempt to tell him to make up his mind.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm on it." the blonde assured in annoyance at the slap.

"Position four. Uh, I mean three." the boy muttered before he pulled back on the saddle, signalling to Plagg to start flying up higher into the sky.

"YEAH, GO BABY! YES!" Adrien cheered as they flew past the highest mountain point of the island, going straight above the clouds.

"OH, This is AMAZING. The wind in my-" the blonde exclaimed, right before his cheat sheet flew out of the clip holding it onto the saddle.

"CHEAT SHEET! STOP!" Adrien commanded, causing Plagg to stop flying up. But Adrien suddenly was tossed forward out of the saddle as he grabbed the sheet, making them both start plummeting to the ground and spiral out of control.

"OH, GODS! OH GODS! OH NO!" the boy yelled as he fell past Plagg, trying to manoeuvre his body so he could help Plagg slow his descent.

"All right, OK, you've gotta kind of angle yourself." Adrien explained, causing Plagg to attempt to follow the instruction while Adrien tried to get back into the saddle. But it was proving difficult.

"OK, no, no, no. Come back down towards me! Come back down...." the blonde tried to instruct before he was interrupted by Plagg's tail.

"OW!" Adrien yelped as Plagg's tails suddenly slapped him in the face, as well as pushing him away from Plagg. Adrien then moved towards Plagg as he put the cheat sheet in his mouth and grabbed onto the saddle, pulling himself onto it. He gets situated back into it, as he and Plagg kept spinning out of control. Now back in control, he manages to straighten their path, only to see the ground coming way too close, way too fast.

"AH!" the blonde screamed, still holding onto the cheat sheet with his teeth as they plummet to the ground. But before they could, Plagg used his wings to slow their descent with a shrinking roar, ending with them heading towards a tight maze of sea stacks. Adrien then pulled the paper out of his mouth to try and read it so he could save them. But the wind made it impossible to do so, making the paper flutter to the left and cover the instructions.

Having no choice, Adrien let the paper go and followed his gut. As they neared the entrance to the tight maze of sea stack, Adrien opened Plagg's tail and they flew headfirst into the maze. From there, by using quick movements alongside speed and small adjustments to the tail with the foot pedal, the boy and dragon duo made it out of the foggy maze and towards the open ocean. Once he realised what had just happened, Adrien was left extremely happy.

"YEAH!" the boy cheered once they cleared the fog bank. In his own form of happiness, Plagg fired a fireball in front of them, creating a literal wall of fire.

"Oh, come on."Adiren groaned before they both flew straight into the blaze.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Time skip)

After their test flight, Plagg and a soot-covered Adrien landed on an unpopulated island. Shortly before they had landed, they went hunting for fish and started up a fire, where Plagg was feasting on the Camembert Adrien had packed and the caught fish. However, he was feeling generous and regurgitated some camembert for Adrien, much to his disgust.

"Um, no thanks. I'm good." Adrien thanked as he showed Plagg his own cooked fish on a stick. But their quiet lunch was interrupted by a pack of Kwami Terrors flying over to them, scavenging for food. At that moment, Plagg became protective of his haul. Once the smaller dragons landed on the island, they all came to Plagg in hopes of trying to get some of his food. In response, he just growled at them in warning, making them back off. But one managed to get the camembert he regurgitated, and started to eat it after it dragged it further away from Plagg. Though one of the other Terrors tried to steal it, it defended it by fire breathing at the other dragon and scared it off.

Unamused, Plagg stared at the interaction between the two dragons, right before he noticed another Kwami Terror trying to get his food after invading his pile. Not up to sharing with the little thief, Plagg grabbed the fish with his mouth, and pulled it away from the Terror, eating it in one gulp. At the Kwami Terror's misfortune, the Chat Noir Fury laughed/roared at the tiny dragon. But the Terror wouldn't stand for it. In hopes of retaliation, the Kwami Terror prepared to breathe fire at him. The still unamused Plagg responded by blasting a small flame down its gullet, making him expand on the inside and float in the air for a second before falling onto his face. Once it deflated from the blast, the Terror walked away in defeat.

"Huh, not so fireproof on the inside are you?" the blonde remarked as he watched the whole interaction, finding it all fascinating while he grabbed a fish from the pile.
