There are a few simple rules of thumb when it comes to fight scenes.

1) Blow by blow is boring

2) Clarity is king

3) Show vs. tell

A fight scene shouldn't be a blow by blow until every villain is defeated. Instead, focus on the characters physical and mental state. Are they hurt? How do they feel about how they're fighting? I'm not saying blow by blow is forbidden however. If you use it right, it can be a good tool. A good idea is to use blow by blow, then a little bit of description

Battles are intense and crazy. If you write the same way your reader will get confused. Don't focus on everything that there is, focus on the MC. Use simple language and short sentences to get the point across. The reader can fill in the blanks, they're smarter than you may think.

Explore the thoughts of your characters. How are they while fighting? Why are they fighting? Do they even know? Use the five senses. Make your character connect with what's going on (Is a friend being hurt at that very moment?). Or make them use the resources around them to explain the surroundings in detail.

Act out how your characters are fighting. You may not be as capable as they are, but you can easily figure out how to describe things while working them out. It'll feel silly, I know I do it all the time, but it's such an easy way to get a good description for a fight scene, and it'll make it more realistic because you're doing it yourself.

Short and simple enough. Fight scenes don't need to be crazy complicated so neither does this chapter lol.

Request are open and so is asking questions!
