Anne Morganne. 14. Loves Butterbeers and Chocolate frogs. And is completely in love.

Love?

Well it all started when she slipped out of her broom, falling head first into the thick ground. Her helmet broke, followed by her knees that cracked against the ground. Her eyes fluttered shut for a moment and for a millisecond she was sure she was dead.

But then she felt a weight under her. As the realization dawned, she comprehended that someone was lifting her.

                                                                 ********************

Another abrupt epiphany that practically had her heart beating out of her chest was the realization that he had saved her. The one and only Cedric Diggory.

Why had it become so impossible to believe? Maybe because he had become something more at just your savior in a matter of a week.

And maybe, just maybe, Anne was falling for him.

Hard.

                                                                    *********************

He had eyes like that of waves, in which she slowly drowned every moment ticking by. She had seen him grow for the past four years, a shabby young lad to a now triwizard cup participant.

What she had never thought was she was also going to see the end of him. His eyes as vast as the seas going to shut in an abrupt halt.

                                                                        **************************

She stood on the stands of the world cup grounds, trying to savor every sight of the boy.

"Maybe you should confess.."  Anne slowly turned to see her friend standing beside her, her eyes widening at the sudden beginning of the topic.

"W-what? Confess? Are you out of your mind Maya? Merlin, he might jinx me right there and then!"

"Come on Anne! Every time you look at him, you seem to want to eat him raw!" She spoke rolling her eyes.

'' Also, I don't think he will reject you that easily.. I mean have you seen the way he looks at you?"

And with what seemed like an eternity, Anne Morganne stood up from her seat, her fists clenched in courage and walked down to do the impossible.

                                                                                ****************************

She saw him. His back coming in view to her eyes. The sight also made her freeze in her tracks.

Was this the right thing to do?

Maybe, Maybe not.

But something told her to do it.

And she did.

"Hey..um Cedric?"

                                                                                  ********************************

The revelation had taken the boy aback, his heart thumping in a very irregular rhythm. His eyes widened, for now he couldn't speak the unshed feelings.

He simply didn't know how to.

But before he could open his mouth, he could here his name being called at a far away distance, a simple reprimand for the champion to be ready for his last task.

And with that, he gave a last look at the witch, her now unbottled feelings lingering in her eyes.

                                                                         *************************

It had taken a while for Anne to understand what she had done. And what took her a longer time to process was the fact that she didn't know whether the young wizard returned her feelings or not.

She sat still on her seat, seeing the little speck of yellow, indicating him amongst the other group of champions in the little green maze.

Her eyes now teared up. What had she done?

Maybe she had just messed up every chance she had with him. And maybe it was over now.

Her eyes were still glued to the yellow speck that disappeared in the shadows of the verdant bushes and creepers of the maze.

                                                                                    *******************

Moments later her eyes shifted to vision of absolute despair. Something she couldn't understand at first.

Harry Potter had come running, his eyes completely teared up, with somewhat of a lifeless Cedric Diggory in his hand. The whole crowd had stood up in hopes of their victory, but the realization soon dawned faster than the buzz of a snitch.

A big portion of the crowd ran to the two champions, including Anne, her eyes tearing up with more and more emotions than she had felt in her life.

Her legs were shaking, but had enough strength to carry her to him.

"Cedric!! Cedric!!" She whispered next to his ear, his head on her lap and his eyes dimming slowly.

And just like that Anne Morganne heard his last words. The words she never intended to hear in the darkest of shadows.

"I love you too."

                                                                                  ************************
