Hiccup and Astrid walked hand in hand down the road in the Hidden World. Vikings and their dragons swarmed the world as they adjusted to their new home. Astrid waved and released his hand, running over to her family. Hiccup smiled softly as she whispered the good news in her father's ear. Her father, Oaken, looked at Hiccup and then back at Astrid. He let out a whoop of joy and picked Astrid up, spinning her around.
"So 'Iccup?" Gobber suddenly came up and gestured to Astrid. "Somethin' ya want to tell the village?"
Hiccup motioned for Astrid and turned to the crowd that had now gathered, due to Oaken's yell. He rested an arm around Astrid, his hand on her hip. Astrid gave him a side hug and smiled at the crowd. Hiccup fiddled with his fingers, Astrid interveneing and grabbing his hand.
Hiccup took a deep breath. "Astrid and I are going to be married in a week!"
Astrid believed the Hidden World was about to explode with the amount of cheers and the level of volume that was produced. She curled shyly into Hiccup. Hiccup's arm rose to her shoulder and he hled her close. Astrid reveled in the wonder and happiness, simply wondering what the village had in store for their wedding next.

"I think you should do centerpieces," Mrs. Rak said. "They are the new in on weddings."
"But what about the traditional bride and viking table pieces?" Ruffnut countered. "Those are tradition, not that I've been one for tradition."
Hiccup and Astrid grimaced at each other. It was only two days before the wedding and the last minute preparations were being made. Well, all the preparations were being made. The village was bustling with energy as they prepared for their chief's wedding. Hiccup rubbed his temples as he watched Tuffnut and Snotlout try to make the table cloths work. Astrid stepped behind Hiccup, placing her hand on his shoulder.
"I'm going to take Stormfly for a ride." Astrid pecked his cheek. "Join me?"
Hiccup turned and quickly kissed her. "Meet you outside."
Astrid smiled and left. She called Stormfly and pressed her forehead to Stormfly's snout. Astrid mounted her and Stormfly glanced back at her. "Let's go find Hiccup." Astrid patted her neck.
Stormfly nodded and shot off. She whipped through the Hidden World and outside. The cool breeze brushed against Astrid's skin, making her shiver slightly. Astrid and Stormfly soon found Hiccup and Toothless. They hovered near to them.
"Are you cold milady?" Hiccup asked.
     "A little," Astrid admitted.
"C'mere," Hiccup said, gesturing to the saddle behind him.
Astrid jumped off Stormfly and settled behind Hiccup. Stormfly chirped and flew off to find her mate. Astrid turned back and wrapped her arms around Hiccup's midsection. She nestled her chin on his shoulder and smiled. Hiccup and Toothless flew up and around, doing circles and flying through the clouds. Hiccup and Astrid landed right outside the entrance of the Hidden World.
"This wedding, it's getting a little out of hand, don't you think?" Astrid looked at Hiccup.
"Yeah, who knew that this would start to separate our people," Hiccup agreed.
     "Your people," Astrid corrected.
Hiccup took her hands. "They've always been our people." Hiccup rolled his eyes and sighed at the look Astrid gave him. "Fine, soon they will be your people."
Astrid nodded and snuggled closer to him. "I just want to be with you, I don't care how or where."
Suddenly an idea clicked for Hiccup. "I think I might know just the way."

"You don't want festivities?" Ruffnut gaped.
"Nope, just something simple." Astrid shook her head.
"But the chief's wedding is always special," Mrs. Larson interjected.
"Yes, but just because Astrid and my wedding won't be big, doesn't mean it won't be any less special," Hiccup said, his hand closing in her's.
Mrs. Larson opened her mouth, but then shut it. Valka stepped forward and hugged Hiccup and Astrid.
"If it's a simple wedding you want, then we will make sure not to go to overboard," Valka promised. "But you still must have the right attire."
Hiccup and Astrid looked at each other and nodded. Valka clapped her hands and whisked Astrid away to be fitted for her dress. Hiccup shook his head as he too was taken away by the men.
"Now Hiccup, there's a few things you need to know about the wedding and marriage," Spitelout informed.
Hiccup gulped and looked back at Astrid, who wore a similar look. They both exchanged sympathetic looks and a thumbs up.

"Well, this is it," Hiccup said to himself. "Wish you were here dad. You should've seen Astrid when we got married."
Hiccup stood at the base of a statue of Stoick. He reached down and picked up a young boy. The boy giggled and clung to Hiccup. Hiccup lifted him up and looked at the statue.
"Dad, this is Stoick," Hiccup said softly.
"Hi grandpa!" Stoick said brightly. His blonde hair shuffled as he leaned into Hiccup's shoulder.
Hiccup set Stoick down, who ran off, most likely to find his mother. Hiccup looked back up, touching the statue. "I hope you're proud dad."
"Of course he is," Astrid's melodic voice broke in. "And we can't be more proud of you either."
Hiccup turned and saw Astrid standing with her hands on Stoick's shoulder. Little Melena stood inbetween Astrid and Valka, her stubby legs holding her up and her tiny hands clutching Astrid and Valka's. Hiccup walked over, his cloak rustling. He picked up Stoick and held him close. Valka scooped up Melena and turned to the tribute to Stoick. Astrid laid a hand on Hiccup's shoulder. They all turned their sights to the statue, Stoick's watchful gaze looking over the new village.
     "Hiccup look!" Astrid whispered.
Hiccup looked farther and saw Toothless and Starlight flitting through the sky. Their hatchlings buzzing behind them playing a game of tag. Hiccup watched, tears gathering. Astrid looked at Hiccup and hugged him tighter. The five of them watched Toothless grin at them, but soon lead his family back to the haven.
"I'll take the kids back," Astrid said quietly. She pressed a delicate kiss to Hiccup's cheek. "Be home soon?"
"Yeah," Hiccup said, taking her hand. He swiftly kissed Astrid's lips and smiled. "See you at home."
Astrid nodded and wrangled their children. Together she and Valka took the children home and left Hiccup to watch the sky. Hiccup looked up to see Toothless' retreating figure fade to nothing.
Hiccup looked on with soft, teary eyes. "Thank you bud. For everything. You are amazing."
