Austin and I walk by an ultrasound place in Chicago. He turns to me. "Do you want to find out the gender of our baby?"

I nod. "I don't think I can wait until we get back to LA." I place my hand in his and we enter the building."

Austin puts my name down while I take a seat.

I pick up one of the magazines from the table and I flip through it. There's plenty in the magazine about pregnancy and what to expect while being pregnant.

I shut it and throw it back on the table with the others. I pull my phone out and start typing on it.

Austin sits next to me. "What do you think it is?"

I shrug. "I don't know. To tell you the truth I don't care if we have a boy or girl, our baby will have two loving parents."

He leans toward me and pecks my lips.

The couple across from us watch us. "They're so cute." The wife says. "Why don't you kiss me anymore?"

That's not a good idea to piss her off buddy.

He leans towards her. "Do you want a kiss now?"

She slaps him across the face. "Not, now. There are people around."

He looks at Austin. "How do you have it easy?"

I turn to Austin and wait for his reply. "I don't. She's more of a tiger since she got pregnant and I like her like this."

Shut up.

The couples name is called and they go into the back room.

A doctor walks through the door and he takes us to the back with him. I climb onto the table and lie back. I lift my shirt.

He puts gel on the wand and he moves it around my stomach. The doctor points out our baby. He moves it to the side. "Hang on a moment." He moves it again and points to something. "It looks like there's another baby in there. Baby 1 has been hiding Baby 2."

I have tears running down my face.

We're having twins. I'm going to need help when I take them home.

"Are we having a girl or a boy?"

He moves the wand around. "Baby 1 is a boy," and he moves it to the other baby. "Baby 2 is a girl."

He hits print on the pictures and we wait for the ultrasound pictures. The Doctor gives it Austin.

I pull my shirt over by belly and step off the chair.

Austin holds my hand as we exit the building.

On the way through town there's a café and I enter it. I walk over to the counter and order the drinks.

Austin takes the cups and I find a table to sit at.

A couple rise and they let us have the table.

"Thank you." I say, as they walk past us.

I take a sip of the hot chocolate and it scolds my tongue. I touch my fingers to my mouth.

Austin laughs. "Did you burn your tongue?"

I nod.

Austin and I walk into his parent's house. They are sitting in the lounge room when we enter the house.

Austin and I sit in the lounge opposite them. He turns to me. "Are you ready to tell them?"

I smile. "Yes,"

Darla looks between us. "Tell Glen and I what?"

I rise and give her the ultrasound pictures.

She looks at them. "Twins?" she whispers.

I nod. "A boy and a girl."

She screams.

I cover my ears.

Darla hugs me. "That's great. I get two Grandkids."

Austin shakes his head. "I have to buy another cot and a new pram. The bedroom will be painted purple and blue. Why couldn't they find the second baby earlier? I don't want to go shopping again."

Darla looks at me. "We'll go shopping when we get to LA. You and I can buy some stuff for the girl. I'm sure that Austin brought enough clothes for a boy."

Austin smiles. "I did buy heaps for a boy. I even purchased a whole heap of toys for the boy."

I hit Austin on the arm. "Austin, our kids won't be playing with toys this early on. I hope you didn't buy things with small pieces in it."

His face pales. "I didn't know. I just brought everything a kid would want."

I put my hands on my hips. "Everything you got will have to go into the spare bedroom and we'll need to keep the door locked."

I wish Austin waited for before he went shopping for the baby's.

The time goes quickly and the countdown to midnight comes on the television. Austin and I decided to spend the night with his parents over going out to celebrate.

Austin told me that if we went out he would be worried.

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one...

"HAPPY NEW YEARS," we shout.

Austin lifts me up and spins me around. "In a month we get married, the following month the twins will be."

Austin kisses me as the fireworks go off on the television. He moves us around the room and sits on the lounge. He pulls me onto his lap and he lifts up his beer and takes a drink from it.

Austin finishes his drink. "I'm taking my fiancé to the bedroom. We'll see you in the morning."

I move off Austin and he rises. He bends down and lifts me into his arms.

"Austin, you are going to hurt your back if you continue to pick up this whale."

Austin shakes his head. "You're not a whale and I never want to hear you refer to yourself as such."

I roll my eyes. "I'm fat, Austin."

"No, you're pregnant." he carries me to the bedroom.

He kicks the door with his foot and he places me on the bed.

I move to the base of the bed and Austin crawls up the bed to me.

Double update on this book today. I really want to finish off this book. So, I'll try to get two chapters out everyday. :-)
