Author's pov :
Aditi was lying down on her bed flipping through the pages of the photo album - the one which has caged all the memories that she and zain has created together...Suddenly her reverie was broken by the shrill sound of the doorbell. Irritated could be the right word to describe what she felt at that moment-as if someone just deprived a kiddo of her chocolate..Quite reluctantly she got up from her bed and opened the door..But the surprise totally erased all her disappointments and a smile automatically was plastered on her lips..It was her family and zain's family standing with their evergreen smile.. Her joy knew no bounds and she hugged her mother really tight and kissed her cheek..
Zain's mom(ZM)- "Aur humari jhappi..Hum e kon jhappi dega."

Aditi(A)-"Sorry aunty..Ap ko main kese bhul sakte hu" ( aditi hugged her and in return zain's mother kissed her forehead blessing her -" allah se yahi dua hai ki tumahari sari manokamnaye puri ho..sada khush raho..")
Aditi then went to take the blessing of zain's dad..As she was about to touch his feet, he stopped her and held her hand.
Zain's dad(ZD): " humare yaha betiya pair nahi chute. Betiyo ko humesha dil main rakhte hain kyun ki wahi unka asli jaga hota hain.Toh ainda se pair nahi chuna..Ap humari beti ho.."
Zain's bhabi(ZB):" lagta hain koi hume bhul gaya hain? Not fair adi.. Apne bari behen ko bhul gayi..(she pretends to be angry)
A: " bilkul nahi ap ko kaise bhul sakti hu..par ap log bahar kyun khare ho? Sari baate bahar hi bolne hai.Andar toh aaiye."
Everyone enters the house..As aditi was about to close the door she was stopped in the middle by none other than zain- our very own nawab sahab.. He was panting and was breathing heavily..
A: " Zain tum yaha? Par tum toh subha zaldi zaldi shoot ke liye nikal gaye the? What are you doing here? And these luggages? Hold on..You knew about this surprise and you didn't care to tell me. Not fair zain.Main tumse kabhi baat nahi karungi."
Zain(Z): " Adi yaar gussa mat ho..main tujhe sab samjhaungi pehele tu andar toh aane de mujhe..Kitne bhari luggages hai.Mera toh almost jaan hi nikal gaya"
Aditi was upset with him but phir bhi jaanu hai na uski, maaf toh karna hi para..
A: " ha thik hai andar aa jao.. Par mujhse baat chupane ke liye punishment tume zarur milega dekh lena.."
Z: "thik hai babu le lena badla..Ap philhal andar toh chalo.Vese gusse mai tum aur bhi zada hot lagti ho"
Aditi started blushing hearing this..
A:". Chalo tumhara ho gaya hai toh!!sharam nam ki cheez nahi hai tumme".
Z.B.-" tum dono ko romance wahi karna hai kya? Aur wese bhi bedroom nam ka bhi kuch cheez hota hai..."
Aditi and zain got embarassed and aditi's cheeks turned red just like apple.. Just then inayu came running towards her would be chachi" adi chachi..adi chachi.maine ap ko bohot miss kiya..Mujhe apke sath khelna hai aur bohot sari stories bhi sunni hai."
A:" khelenge na hum..aur bohot sari chocolares khayenge, bohot sari story books parenge.lekin usse pehele hume ek kissi chahiye.. Woh mil sakta hain?"
Hardly had she completed her sentence a pair of lips touched her cheeks and guess who could be the owner of those lips? Yes! It's none other than our babu's jaanu, our very own nawab sahab.. Aditi started blushing as inaya went running towards the other family members screaming at the top of her voice"chachu ne chachi ko kiss kiya...chachu ne chachi ko kiss kiya." The others made an attempt to supress their laughter but ultimately all burst out into laughter...
Aditi gave a deadly stare to zain as if she will eat him up.. Zain knew what this meant and he immediately to cover up the entire situation asked "ammi ap bol rahi thi ki ap ko mujhse aur aditi se kuch baat karni hai."
ZM: " ha beta.. Main toh bhul hi gayi..sirf mujhe nahi hum sabko tum dono se baat karni hai..Beta tum aur aditi kafi dino se ek dusre ko jante ho, ek dusre se pyaar karte ho..Toh ab bakt aa gaya hain us rishte ko ek naya nam dena ka."
Z: " ammi mujhe kuch samaj nahi aaya ap kya bolna chahte ho".
Z.B.-"are devar ji ammi yeh bolna chahati hai ki ab ap dono ko shaddi kar lena chahiye..Dono parivar yahi chahate hain aur wase bhi mujhe zaldi se zaldi meri devrani ko officially meri devrani banani hai.."
Both aditi and zain started blushing...
Z.B.-" tum dono blush bad mai kar lena,pehele yeh batao ha yah na.Aur ha e bolna plz mujhe apni devar ki baarat main nachna hai."
Aditi and zain stared at each other..After they are done with their silent conference,, they announced in unison" yes..we are ready."
All family members congratulated them and blessed the couple..
A.M.-"toh jab miya biwi raji hai toh kya hum engagement ki date final kar le? Actually kya hain na behenji jaise ap logo ko jaldi hai beti ko lejani ki waise hi mujhe apna beta chahiye aur woh bhi jaldi se jaldi."
With that she kissed zain's forehead.
A:" zain tumne meri mummy ko chin liya..😈. Ab woh tumse zada pyaar karti hain."
Z.M.-"koi nahi bachha.. Hum hai na.. Hum apko dheer sara pyaar karenge..zain se bhi zada...Achha ab chalo zaldi se date final karte hain."
Finally after lots of discussions, they finally selected the date of engagement- 15th july..
A.M.-"kitne kam samay bache hain...kitne sare arrangements karni hai..chalo sab apna apna kam bat lo..".
A-"mamma ap tention mat lo.main aur zain sari tayarri kar lenge..humara bohot sare common friends hai yaha. Woh hume madad kar denge."
Z: " ha mamma..ap mujhpe bharosa kijiye main sab kuch kar lunga.Aj hum sab chalte hain ring decide karne aur baki ka shopping bhi kar lenge.."
A: "yup zain that's a great idea..Ap log 5 min ruko main abhi change karke aati hu".
As aditi left for her room, zain also walked behind her with some excuses.
A: "zain tum yaha pae kya kar rahe ho?" jao mujhe change karni hai..
Z:"uff adi kitni unromantic ho tum...maine socha ki ab humara shadi hone wala hain toh mujhe romance karne ka mauka milega..par bhagawan ne mere sath nainsafi ki hai ek tubelight bhejke."
A:" zain.😤, but on a serious note zain main tujhe aj dil se thank you bolna chahti hu un sab kuch ke liye jo tune mere liye kiya hai.I love u jaanu." And then adi hugged him tightly as if there is no tomorrow..
Z:" Aur agar yahi baat main tumse kahu...sukriya aditi mujhe sachha pyaar ka matlab sikhane ke liye, mere jaise nalayak se dher sari mohabbat karne ke liye, mera dhyan rakhne ke liye. Lekin main aj isse bhi zada kuch bolna chahiti hu- so,kya ap yani ki miss aditi rathore humesha humesha ke liye mrs zain imam banna pasand karengi? Kya ap mere saath puri zindagi chocolate share karna pasand karenge? Kya ap iss tom ka jerry banna pasand karengi?"
A:" ha i m ready.. Lekin ek condition hai sabse bara chocolate ka piece mujhe chahiye..milega na?"
As zain nodded his head in a positive she kissed his cheek and ran out of the room taking her purse.Zain stood their smiling and ruffled his hair.
Z.B.-" chale.. Agar ap dono ka romance khatam ho gaya hai toh".
Aditi looked towards zain shyly who in return winked at her.
Z:" ha chalte hain na bhabi.."
With this everyone left for shopping.. Akhir kar humare adiza ki engagement hai..
