Before the outbreak-

Jungkook huffed. He was tired from all this running. He thought he will finally be getting some free time in this vacation but the chief handed them the exercise routine to stay in shape. 

Be in the army they said, it would be fun they said. 

Bullshit.

He closed his eyes as the sun was directly shining above him and he was thirsty as hell. Jungkook furrows his eyebrows as his neck craned to find some cafe on the roadside and if god was finally on his side, he located one at the end of the corner. 

Jungkook happily went inside the cafe, smiling softly as the cool air hit his hot body, I mean sweaty body. 

"Welcome sir!" 

A sweet voice immediately made him look at the counter. A beautiful, correction very beautiful girl was standing with a smile on her face. 

Jungkook can swear, he could hear bells chiming in his ears as suddenly everything appears to be in slow motion. Is this what they call love at first sight....Jungkook shakes his head as he comes out of his imagination. All this running has probably affected his thinking capacity. He slowly walked towards the counter as his heart thumps aggressively against his chest. 

"Can I get your order please?" 

Again, this voice is as sweet as honey. 

"Y-yeah, One large c-caramel macchiato please." 

Oh did he told before that he was scared of strangers and especially of opposite genders. F[censored] is life. He cannot even meet eyes with her. But he did notice one thing, her name tag.

Pearl

What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. 

"Your order is on the way sir If you would like, you can take a seat." 

Jungkook slowly nodded as he bit inside of his cheeks. Just talk to her, His mind was screaming at him but Jungkook turned around and silently take a seat that was closest to the counter. Sometimes he hates himself for being socially awkward. 

Pearl was busy on her phone as the cute stranger was busy gawking her. Yes, she knew that he was staring at her. And honestly, she would have told him off but he was too cute for that so she just let it be. It was good sometimes to flaunt your beauty. 

Jungkook sighs. He seriously wants to talk to her but the question is how!? Guess it will be their farewell because his social anxiety is too big for him to interact with someone. 

"Sir! Your order is ready!" 

This girl can give him a heart attack from her voice only. Jungkook takes a big breath and stands up from his position to take his precious coffee. Guess, it is only him and his coffee in this cold world.

He again without meeting eyes tries to take the cup from her but then suddenly their hands touch each other and Jungkook can feel electricity running through his veins which forces him to look up and finally their eyes meet. 

Warm brown eyes. 

He can feel warmth fill his heart. Her eyes were shining brighter than the stars, it was like the whole universe was inside that brown bambi eyes. 

"You have a great sense of taste." 

A cute giggle forced him to come back to reality and face the angel. 

Jungkook softly smiles, "Yes. I have a sweet tooth." He was finally happy that he gets to talk to her though he was not the one initiated it.

Pearl nodded, " I also love sweet things." 

Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck as he can feel it burning. 

"By the way, are you new here? I have not seen you here before." 

"Yes, I am here for a vacation." Jungkook sighed remembering that he could not see her after he goes back. 

Pearl nodded in understanding but then suddenly her eyes widen in realization as she giggled softly at her stupidity, "I didn't ask for your name." 

Jungkook softly smiles hearing her sweet laugh, "My name is..."

The loud ringing and vibration of his phone cut his sentence in between. Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows, It was his emergency phone. 

RED ALERT

Captain Jeon Jungkook report to the base now.
