~Anika's POV~

Yesterday we deceided that Om and Ri are going to get married after 5 days. I'm so happy for Ri but also very tensed because of the wedding arrangements. I'm not going to office till wedding and I'll do all the work at home. Today is Om and Ri's engagement and I will held in our house. I was making the list of the guests when my phone ringed. Looking at the caller ID I pick up the call.

A: hello Dadi..

D: hello puttar.. Kaisi hai tu?
(Hello dear. How are you?)

A: dadi mai theek hu. Aap kaisi hai?
(Dadi I'm fine.. How are you?)

D: mai bhi theek hu.. Anika mujhe pata hai ki tujhe akele sab sambhalna padega isliye mai keh rahi thi ki tu or Gauri shaadi tak humare yaha aa ja.. Sare rasam or shaadi yehi karlengee..
(Im also fine.. Anika I know that you'll have to do every arrangements alone so I was saying that if you and Gauri will stay in our house till wedding, we'll do all the rituals and wedding here)

A: nehi dadi mai chahti hu ki shaadi yaha ho.. Or mai sare tayyari acche se karlungi aap chinta maat karo.
(No dadi I want the wedding to held here and I'll do all the arrangements properly you don't worry)

D: lekin tujhe meri ek baat sunna padega..
(But you'll have to listen to one thing)

A: boliye dadi..
(Tell me dadi)

D: shaadi tak mere bara pota Shivaay tere yaha rahega or teri help karega or tu naa nehi bolegi..
(Till marriage my elder grandson Shivaay will stay at your house and will help you and you'll not deny)

A: but dadi..

D: Anika mai or kuch nehi sunne wali.
(Anika I won't listen to anything)

A: okay dadi bye.

I cut the call start checking the arrangements. Ri came to me asked about her dress. I went to our room with her for selecting her dress. After an hour I saw Mr. Oberoi standing at the hall talking in the phone. I have heard that he is arrogant and rude but I don't think he is like that. I get down and stand in front of him. He cuts his call looking at me.

A: hi Mr.Oberoi..

S: hi Anika actually mujhe dadi ne kaha ki jab tak shaadi nehi hota mai yehi rahunga.
(Hi Anika actually dadi said that till the wedding I'll stay here)

A: haa.. Mujhe dadi ne bataya but in sab ki koi jaarurat nehi thi.
(Yes.. Dadi told me but there is no need for all this)

S: aree no problem ab tum dono bhi to humare family ho.
(Aree no problem now you both are also our family)

I smiled at him and he reciprocates the smile. Then he asked about the works so I told him to help me. He is very different. He is opposite to him (Anika's ex). Remembering about him I was lost. After some time I heard that Shivaay was shouting my name.

~Shivaay's POV~

We were setting some fairy lights when I felt that Anika was somewhere lost. Her face was showing pain and lost the glow. It pains my heart but I don't know why. I called her but no response. Then I called her loudly and she looked at me. I asked her if she was fine. She nodded and we finished all the work. In the evening Om, dadi, and I were standing in the hall. I was instructing the workers, I turned around and found Anika standing on the stage with Gauri. My heart beat raised looking at her. She looked breathtaking in a grey saree.

Gauri sits beside Om and Anika brings a plate of rings. Their ring is very beautiful.

Gauri makes Om wear the ring and Om makes Gauri wear a ring. Om kissed Gauri's cheek and she blushed. Everyone clapped wishing them. I hug Om and Gauri, and then they both hug Anika. The engagement ceremony ends. Dadi and Om go back to Oberoi Mansion and I stay back at Malhotra Mansion. I went to my room and after freshening up I changed into my night dress and jumped on the bed, soon I fell asleep. At 3:48 am I felt thirsty and found the water jug empty. I was going to the kitchen when I saw a figure sitting in the garden. I saw Anika sitting on the bench staring at the moon. Her face is pale and without blinking she is looking at the moon.
