Nya sniffled and wiped her eyes for the umpteenth time that night. Why may you ask? She had a nightmare of the horrible experience from multiple years ago. So why was it still in her head now? Yes, it was traumatic but...why now? Why had it suddenly come back after around a year of not getting any nightmares, or very little at least?

Nya sat up and rubbed her eyes until they were redraw. She has to find him. She wants, no, she needs him. She needs to be in his arms. His warm, safe arms. The only problem was, his room was on the other side of the Destiny's Bounty. But she was fine...right? At least that's what she was convincing herself...but after the day her parents disappeared without a trace, she was never the same. And neither was Kai.

She ripped the covers off her freezing body and stumbled out of the room, attempting to find her boyfriend. The Bounty was quiet. Which wasn't surprising considering it was two-thirty in the morning. She winced as the cool floorboards creaked beneath her feet, groaning as she walked through the corridors.

She sighed shakily as she raised her hands to Jay and Cole's bedroom door. Should I? It seems stupid. I can't disturb him. She tried to turn away, but something drew her towards it again. Maybe it was her love for Jay. Or her ever-growing need to be in his arms, the only place she feels safe.

She pushed the door open.

"Jay?" She called out, wincing as the door creaked open.

Jay was sleeping peacefully on his bed, a soft contented smile on his face. A very weak smile came across Nya's face at the sight, but it didn't last long, the nightmare replaying in her head.

"J-Jay?" She whimpered, slowly walking over to his bed.

She sunk down next to him, placing a hand on his arm. Jay bolted up, glancing around before his eyes landed on his shaking, close to tears girlfriend.

"Nya?" He called out as he slowly extended a hand towards her.

Nya whimpered and watched apprehensively, scared of what Jay was going to do. Jay's hand landed on her arm. Nya jolted and immediately tensed up at the touch.

"Nya? What's wrong sweetheart?"

"I-I," Nya squeaked out, trailing off slightly.

Jay hummed quietly and waited patiently. This was one of the rare occasions where Nya would barely talk to him and will go to Jay for comfort but never say what's bothering her.

"It's okay. Take your time."

"I-I had a nightmare."

Nya's bottom lip trembled as her whole body shook, a couple of tears ran down her face. Jay pulled her onto his lap and rocked her gently, praying it would somewhat help his distressed girlfriend calm down. Rubbing circles on her back, he guided her head to his chest. Nya's head fell onto his chest as she cried openly. It felt good. It always did.

Jay rubbed comforting circles on her back as she cried and shook, clutching him for a source of comfort. Jay slowly laid down, pulling Nya on top of him, allowing her to curl up inside his hoodie.

That's exactly what she did.

She gripped his inner shirt with shaking fingers and sobbed into it. Even though she struggles to show her emotions, she couldn't deny that sobbing openly felt good. She needed this. She craved it for so long. And now she's doing it. And it felt good.
