Okay, so you might be wondering- How did the first Hylians look Like? 

Canonically, the first hylians existed a few thousand years before skyward sword. So we can base it off of that. In Skyward Sword, the Hylians weren't referred to as 'Hylians'- instead they were referred to as people. 

Why is that? Well, let's take a look at the average Hylian of Skyward Sword.

Looking at Fig 1, you can observe that Link's ears, while pointy, aren't as pointy as those in Skyward Sword. Similar to Human ears- you can also see in Fig 2 that Hylians used to be stockier than their BOTW descendants, stronger and with more endurance even. Like Link is pretty ripped in Skyward Sword (Not as Ripped as TP- we'll get to that later), there's probably a reason for that.

Okay, That's the past- what about the present?

We all know that Link is a pretty strong Hylian in BOTW. So, bro, why does he look so weak? He looks like a stick compared to SS link (Which is why I believe in Sky supremacy-). And his EARS- they're waaay pointier than SS Link's, but why? 

Let's consider the differences in lifestyle:

1) Sky, Along with the other Hylians, lived in Skyloft his whole life. They have no natural enemies and plenty of farm land which leads to endless food. Which explains why the Skyward Sword Hylians are pretty jacked.

2) When the Hylians moved down from Skyloft, there must've been a massacre. They're not used to fighting monsters, or living in such a noisy environment. So as Hylians evolved, they began to rely more and more on their sense of hearing to avoid monsters.

Okay, well what about Height?

SS Link- 5'4

BOTW Link- 5'1

Have you ever heard of the species of Homo Sapiens that lived on the remote island? Homo florienesis? Yeah, well I think that's what happened. 

homo florienesis stood about 105 cm tall, only the shortest survived because there was a limited amount of food for everyone. Hyrule had probably been in a famine for the past 100 years in BOTW due to monsters ruining crops and people being stranded after the calaminity, with no time left to recover.

Aight, well then why is Twilight Princess Link so ripped?

Okay so, you know how Ordon village has so many farmy things? Well, he probably became jacked due to all the farm work he did. But the rest of the Hylians in TP are also jacked, so huh?

During TP hylians were still pretty primitive, relying on their physical well-being to get things done. did I also mention the harsh terrain? And Hylians seem to have had a culture of martial arts and sumo wrestling from what we saw during the Goron main Quest.

But then why Does Time have such long ears?
