(Yes, this is posted late. Been struggling a bit. Also lots of swearing and f-bombs, just a TW)

"I knew it, I KNEW THIS WASN'T CURABLE! Oh, thank god... I told her I was right... hahahahahaaaa... alright. Anything else I should know about?"

"Not that I know of."

"Alright, let's go!"

-

The gunshot rang. A crack in the silent air, splitting the peace with a bang and a subsequent cry of agony as the bullet found its place. Blood blossomed from the fresh wound in her arm, seeping through her red blazer and between her fingers as she clutched the area with wide, panicked eyes.

A feeling of rage took over his body very swiftly. He had to clench his fists to keep from beating someone to death in his anger. Instead he turned to the girl next to him.

"You yzaren missed?! She was standing still!"

She was in shock. Her hands holding the gun shook as she stared at what she'd done.

That should've hit. There's no way she could've missed by such a mile.

"I- I-"

Suddenly she shoved the gun into his spectral hands and ran to her friend's aid. He stared after her with a look of disbelief with the gun in his hands, then, disappointed and enraged, sighed with a shake of his head.

"Addie?! What the fuck just happened?"

Addie was breathing heavily with tears in her eyes, her brain quickly scrambling and filling with panic. She snapped her gaze to the newcomer, relieved in the moment to see someone she knew.

"A-Ana...?! U-uh..." Addie stumbled for words. "I-I don't know, I-I-I was just drawing, a-and- and then I was hurting, I d-don't know-"

She was starting to hyperventilate very quickly, staring at the wound on her arm like there was a demon crawling out of it.

Ana attempted to quickly calm her down. "Don't worry, it'll be okay. Just get yourself to a hospital, you've been shot. I've gotta deal with this."

Addie was barely able to comprehend the instructions she'd been given before Ana quickly darted back away to where he was still standing, arms crossed with a pissed off expression as he casually messed with the gun in his hand.

"GRADIENT, YOU FUCKING IDIOT."

Gradient looked up, displeased that Ana had immediately taken this on him. He stopped playing with the gun to snap,

"The f- THIS WAS YOUR IDEA!"

He shook his head with an angry sigh.

"For once don't take this out on me because YOU were the one who did this."

"Wha- I KNOW!" Ana was about equally as angry as Gradient was at that moment. "You didn't have to scream at me for MISSING, WHEN SHE COULD HEAR YOU!"

Ana ran a hand through her air, ears pinned. "Look. We have plenty of time to try this again-"

"Oh, and you're worried about her hearing you?" Gradient snarled. "That's interesting, considering you wanted to kill her five seconds ago."

"Yeah, but if she knows I want to kill her, she'll, I don't know, be scared? Idiot?" Ana pointed out, ears still pinned to her hair. "It's easier if she trusts me."

"Mhm. Yeah. Whatever." Gradient didn't seem convinced. "Now if you mean to kill her, get back there and fucking finish the job."

He aggressively shoved the gun at her, forcing her to take it.

Ana sighed. "God, fine."

She turned on her heel and walked back out to where Addie was diving into a mental breakdown.

Without so much as a word, Ana raised the gun and shot her. And shot her again. And again. And again.

Six more bullets fired from the barrel, six more jolts of Addie's quickly limp body before finally she lay still. Blood began to pool beneath her from the bullet wounds, lead capsules buried deep in her flesh.

Ana glanced at her glazed, blue-grey eyes for half a second before turning away.

Her ear flicked as she became aware at Gradient's new presence.

"Gradient. She's dead. Are you happy?"

Her tone was bitter, though she did her best to hide it.

Gradient took a long glance at Addie's dead body before smiling, pleased.

"Quite."
