'We were kids when we first kissed each other - little did we know that we were gonna be together once we got older'
------

6 years old

"Ty Ty," Seto giggled, hoping around his best friend. Ty reached out and wrapped him in a hug, petting Seto's head lightly. Ty was a good few inches taller, which made sense since he was older.

"It's been a while since I've seen you," Ty laughed, feeling Seto squirm around till he was free.

"It's only been a week silly," Seto bounced around again, a huge grin on his face, "but I learned some really cool stuff!!"

Ty smiled and patted his head again, before leading both of them to their secret hide out in the woods from the village. The two barely had time together since Seto went into Sorcerer training as Ty went into battle studies.

"At the school, I watched some old guy light stuff on fire! And then I got to learn how to fly and make other things fly! I met this really nice boy too. His hair was funny," Seto rambled, giggling between each sentence. Ty listened contently, pulling back a branch so Seto could past.

"I got meet a boy who was at the first class region. He even have the golden crest already," Ty added in his story, getting Seto to nod along happily. Getting the golden crest meant that you were the top of your class age, kind, honest, everything. Ty aspired to be like him.

"I just really really miss you," Seto once again hugged him, and Ty retuned it.

"You know... When grown ups miss each other, they kiss each other," Ty smiled. He's always thought it was a nice thing to do to people you missed. Seto smiled brightly.

"Really?"

"Yeah! Can I?"

Seto giggled and nodded, standing on his tip toes. Ty leaned down and gave him a small peck.

"I missed you Seto."

Much later

A burst of purple steaked across the room, exploding into dust when it made contact with a near by bookshelf. Books, scrolls, and glass was scattered across the room. In the middle of it was Seto, tears streaming down his face. In his rage, his cloak went from his amethyst purple, to an obsidian black.

His long time lover, another sorcerer from school, had broken off the relationship. It was devastating to lose someone so close, Seto was so sure it was his other half, his mate, his forever.

The library doors opened and a soldier walked in. He had on a golden crest on his chest plate. A green ribbon tied back the hair from his face.

"Seto?" Ty called out, seeing his friend, "Seto what's wrong?" In a rush, Ty ran over and dropped by him putting an arm over his shoulder.

"H-he... H-he... He left Ty," Seto sobbed, holding his hands against his chest, "it hurts so much... I can't..."

"Shhhh don't talk like that," Ty pulled his hood down and started to fix his hair, smoothing it down and retying his headband. It started to soothe Seto, getting his sobs down to a whimper. When Ty was sure Seto was ok he pulled back to take off the chest plate, pulling Seto back into a hug.

"I came over to tell you that I was left behind too," Ty whispered, feeling Seto's shaking slowing down. Ty's lover, the general of the army, went after the third commander.

"He lost someone amazing then," Seto said bitterly.

"But now I can see you more often," Ty said, running a hand through Seto's hair. A comfortable silence fell between the two, before Seto spoke up again.

"Remember when we were young. And what you said when adult missed each other?"

"Yeah?"

"Can I?"

Ty, a little taken aback, nodded. Seto maneuvered so he could face Ty, giving him a small kiss.

"I missed you Ty Ty."
