Shyla's POV

We all decided it was best if Dixey didn't know about us helping out with the murder mysteries unless we needed help. She seemed to be going through some unimaginable things, so we wanted to give her some space.

"Alright, so all we know about these murders is that they were one after the other, each of the kills are different, and the killer is very cunning, leaving no trace of him or her in any of the crimes," Andrew explained.

We were all at the library, and had each newspaper about the murders laid out on a table. None of them gave us any information about anything. Just the address of each victim crime scene.

"From what I can tell, the murders were gruesome. There's no pictures of them on any of the papers," Amanda stated.

"Guys, I don't know how else we can help. We only have a quarter of the information that the police have. Unless we break into the crime scenes then we're no help to the cases at all," I replied.

There was a smile on both of their faces as they looked at me. Thoughts were racing through my mind. Are we really going to do this? Would Dixey do this?  What was I thinking, of course Dixey would do this, so I smiled back at them.

Amanda then put her hand in the middle of all of us, just like Andrew did.

"Outlaws on three. One," Amanda said.

"Two," I said.

"Three" replied Andrew.

"Outlaws!" We all shout.

Bailey's POV

It's been 3 days which would make it Monday today. The first day of my punishment. We told mom and dad, and we've been grounded for as long as are school punishment is. This sucked!

"I'm so bored!" I said to know one.

Dixey has been stressed lately, so I couldn't talk to her. I told her to get some rest. I just think that everything has finally sunk into her head all at once.

What do you want to talk about?

Nothing, you need rest, go back to sleep.

I don't need anything! Let's just talk for a bit. While she said this, she was yawning.

I can hear it in your voice, Dixey. You're tired, so just give in and sleep.

But your bored and I want to help you! So what do you want to talk about?

Nothing, now go to sleep! My main priority is to keep you safe, and your to tired to talk to me! So SLEEP!

Never! She sounded tired and weak.

I knew she was going to give in soon, I just needed to stop talking and let her sleep. Soon after, there was just the sounds of breaths, Dixey's was low and soft, which told me that I won. I walked over to the desk and sat down, looking into the mirror, when our phone lit up.

Hey! How are you holding up? It read. It was a text from Llama, and I only wanted to through the phone out the window. But then Dixey wouldn't talk to me again, so I didn't.

First of all this is Bailey. And I'm bored out of my mind! I replied. I knew she wasn't going to text me back, but I was ok with that.

Oh, hi! Can I talk to Dixey? She texted back. I was shocked! She really texted back!

She's resting, so no. I didn't want to wake up Dixey just so she can talk to Llama. She needed rest.

Just wake her up, this is important. She was staring to get on my nerves.

Never! She's going through some rough times right now, so of it's important, tell me. I'm already going to hear about it anyways.

Fine. Promise not to tell anyone!

Promise

Amanda, Andrew, and I are going to go to all of the crime scenes of the murders. We all know how Dixie sneaks out of the house and breaks into the library after hours. And since she get's away with it we were thinking she could help us.

I thought about it for a moment. They were trying to solve the murders by breaking into the scenes. I'm so proud that some of my personality is rubbing off on them.

I'll help you, she got her talent from me. But I'll only help with one case scene, ok?

K. Hurry over as fast as you can. Try not to get into anymore trouble.

I'll be there soon.

I put my phone in my pocket and snuck out the window. It was 5:03 now, so all of the kids have been out of school for about two hours or so. When I finally got to the park where we always meet, something caught my eye again.

Amanda's POV

We were sitting on the bench waiting for Dixey, or Bailey according to Shyla, when Gideon came up. His face was bruised and scraped beyond fixing, and one of his eyes was black and blue. He walked up to us, and we all stood up.

Everyone was silent, and was making eye contact with each other. Gideon had two of his friends with him, also boyfriends of the dead girls. Patrick and Nate, they were just as bad as Gideon was.

"I realized that Dixey wasn't at school today," said Gideon. It was the first time anyone talked in what felt like 15 minutes.

"Yeah, strange," said Shyla. Her eyes were like daggers going straight through Gideon. But all he did was laugh.

"Then there's no one to protect you now," Gideon said. He snapped his fingers and Patrick and Nate walked up closer.

"That's where you're wrong, Gideon," I replied, "It's you who has no protection."

Andrews POV

We were throwing punches at our targets left and right. I was fighting Nate, Shyla was fighting Patrick, and Amanda had Gideon. I was bleeding now, but I wasn't sure from where. I threw a punch at Nate and it hit him right in the nose. He went straight down to the ground and held his nose to stop the bleeding.

I look over to Shyla who had Patrick in a headlock. His arm was twisted back and she was yelling at him to say uncle. Then Patrick flipped Shyla over his back and pined her down.

Before I could go help her, Nate was back up and jumped on my back, bringing me down to the ground instantly. He then rolled me over and elbowed me in the stomach. The pain was excruciating. I sat there for a moment before getting back up and threw a punch to who knows where.

Shyla's POV

I had Patrick pined to the dirt of the park now, after he flipped me over I kicked my leg into his side, and he went down like a rock in water. Tears were rolling down his face as I punched him, but then someone grabbed me and pulled me up off of him. It was Nate, I looked over at Andrew, and he was trying to get up, but failed doing so.

There was a sharp pain in my chest as I turned around, Patrick was kicking me there, and Nate never moved with each kick. I felt like I wasn't going to make it. Everything started to turn fuzzy, when something or someone helped me out.

Amanda's POV *meanwhile*

Gideon was on his hands and knees, his round body shaking. His arms were now filled with fresh cuts, done by yours truly. I kneed him in his side, and he laid  down. I bent down to punch him in the face but he bet me to it. He sat up instantly and elbowed me in the face. The force was strong, and it caught me right in the mouth so hard that I stumbled back.

I caught myself on a tree to keep me steady. I then turned around and got a punch in the eye. I went to the tree again, and turned around to see who punched me. I wasn't shocked to see that Gideon was that person. Before I could move, he began to punch me, over and over again in the stomach. I couldn't go any where since I was on the tree. Then a savior came.

Dixey's POV

Blood... everywhere......blood. On my hands, the ground, my friends, our enemies..... and the object that I held in my hands.

Tears....everywhere.....tears. On my friends faces, on the ground, and soon to be on the faces of Gideon, Patrick, and Nates' parents.

My friends had horrific looks on their face. They were scared of me now. Before they weren't, and now they were.

You couldn't have just talked to them, huh.

If I didn't do it, then someone would have died.

Like that changed.

Come on, don't be like that Dixey.

...

Dixey, please talk to me.

...

Dixey?

I heard the crack in her voice, which almost made me cry. I did want her to know how much I wanted to talk to her. She was the one I turned to in times like this. But I couldn't now, not for a long time.

For once in my life, I was alone.
