The early morning hues of summer were gently painted across the world beyond Sehun and Wooshik's peaceful sanctuary. Sehun had never felt so content, so happy, so alive— he could not imagine starting his day any other way.

Wooshik, understanding Sehun's ecstatic imaginations, slowly wrapped his arms around the young man's waist, pulling him closer, holding him with utmost care, "We are finally together, Sehun," he murmured softly, his words cascading over the another person like a soothing melody.

Sehun kept his eyes closed, feeling a content and serene, wash over him, enveloping him in its sweet embrace.

The warm sun and the presence of the love of his life by his side was more than they could have ever imagined.

Sehun gently snuggled closer, relishing the warmth of Wooshik's words. "Captain, I can't believe it," he whispered with a deep sense of fulfilling. "You cannot imagine how long I have been awaiting this moment."

Wooshik traced his long fingers across Sehun's cheek, taking in the twinkle of a morning light that glittered radiantly in his beautiful sculpted eyes. "I too have been waiting…longer than you…" he said, his voice filled with tender devotion. "Last night was only the beginning of us."

Sehun nodded in agreement, feeling each beat of his heart aligning with the gentle caress of the moment. "I feel that I am the luckiest person alive right now," he spoke softly, softly soaking in the peacefulness that he found in Wooshik's presence.

Wooshik leaned in to press his lips gently to Sehun's temple, lingering with a sweet tenderness. His hug, his kiss, his words, all spoke volumes of their deep devotions and an unwavering love. "You, Sehun, deserve all of the love in the world," he said with responsibility. "And I pledge to show you each and every day, for as long as we live, how very much you mean to me," he kissed again, brushing the brown locks guiding Sehun's drowsy comportment.

The younger one's heart contracted, squeezed with all of the emotions that were pouring through him. He took a deep breath of love and exhaled, expressing the words he had been longing to utter. "Let's wake up beside each other, everyday from now," he spoke slowly, in a serene voice that sounded like it came from deep within his soul— he held his naked soul bare.

"I love you too," Wooshik replied in a low, passionate tone, sealing his words with another tender kiss. . .

"Come here," Wooshik and Sehun tightly held onto each other, emanating love like sunlight through the summer morning— inevitable.

When, without warning, a noisy pounding on the door broke their tranquility.

"Oh! It must be mom," Wooshik reluctantly disentangled their bodies pressed together.

"Huh? You don't live alone?" Sehun took aback, "Wait!! Mom?? That- that means…" his words scattered, bedazzled, "No way!! Captain's mother is—"

Wooshik became a little perturbed, "Come in, mom!" Lest, whatever the situation might be, he would never let his love slip— if he have to fight against the world, he would. If he have to battle with the universe, he would. If he have to defy nemesis, he…would.

"Good morning, my darlings," Hyojoo said warmly, entering through the space without waiting for an invitation. "I knew I had to bring you breakfast, since I was sure you two lovebirds wouldn't bother leaving your haven."

Stranger! She had nothing against their relationship? Wooshik inwardly groaned, grateful, and annoyed by his mother's intrusion. But he quickly dissipated his irritation because she just wanted the best for them. "Mom…" maybe, he was being too paranoid.

Sehun stirred at the sight of Hyojoo bustling around their small bedroom, whipping their breakfast. "M- Ma'am?"

Hyojoo gazed at Sehun, gratified within, seeing the young man who had stolen her son's heart. "Sehun," she said affectionately, with her expressive eyes filled with maternal love. "You are safe with my son."

"Ma'am. . ."

Hyojoo tenderly swept her maternal fingers through Sehun's rich, velvety locks of chestnut brown. "My dear Sehun," she whispered, "The most precious person of my life loves you with a passion that is boundless, and I, I love you too." Her plea was soft, but earnest. "Promise me that you will never let us slip from your heart, will you, Sehun?"

Sehun surrendered to the woman, collapsing upon her bosom in a plethora of emotion. With a soft gasp, he whispered, "Never. I will never, ma'am," a single tear trickled a path down his cheek, a testament to the depth of his sentiment. "I love you too, Ma'am. When my own mother, my greatest weakness deserted me, you raised me up," burying his head in Hyojoo's chest, he added, "I love you so much."

Hyojoo gazed skyward, "It's okay. It's okay, Sehun. Everything is okay," a seraphic expression alighting her delicate features, she gently caressed Sehun's back.

"Oh? I am the extra now?" Wooshik playfully ruffled the young man's tender locks, evoking a shy smile from that bashful youth.

"No one is extra here. But for all these days I haven't got a chance to hold your lover close, let me make up for it," with a steadfast grip, Hyojoo held Sehun tight beneath her left arm, her deft right hand deftly arranging a sumptuous breakfast on the table before them. And with the letters from Mrs. Yang, served alongside the tray, she intoned softly,

"Let us now figure out the truth, hm?"
