All you have is your fire...
And the place you need to reach -
Don't you ever tame your demons
But always keep 'em on a leash

Aditya composed himself, however. There was some kind of an old adage that went along the lines of: You must acknowledge those who encouraged you to get to where you are but you must never forget those who told you that any effort was futile. The first person that came to his mind when thinking of the second half was Zoya Siddiqui.

Aditya Hooda was still reeling from the pain when he had decided to reconnect with his love for dance and join a small workshop of about 12 individuals. They had all been rehearsing for a performance at The Royal Albert Hall in about a month's time and during this period, Adi had been enduring incessant jibes, insults and judgements from this woman. One day, the final straw snapped. Why should he tolerate her bullshit? Did she know Aditya at all? No!

But if anything, her taunts spurred Aditya to recover. The devious words that she spat at him didn't mean anything because they didn't define him in the slightest. Enough was enough: he had let this Zoya ebb away at his self esteem for far too long. If he could reconnect with a long lost passion such as dance, one of the few remnants of his former self, surely he stood a chance of recovering from this trauma? Thus, Aditya decided to begin visiting a psychologist to help him heal – evidently, this wasn't a solo job.

Still, Zoya persisted. She continued to throw anything she could his way, insults, harsh, scathing comments on his personal life. Yes, he winced at some of them still. Of course, some of them were 'wahiyaat', beyond logical explanation. But now, Aditya was recovering, slowly but surely. Zoya was a key part of this journey, no matter how negative her reasoning. Yet to balance then overshadow this, came Pooja, and for the latter, he couldn't have been more thankful

However, before he could progress to that stage of his journey, Aditya Hooda pulled himself out of the memories. A wry smile pulled at his lips as he mused at how perfectly Hozier's lyrics fit Miss Zoya 'Overconfident' Siddiqui. Yet, this memory was crucial and he paused I'll Be Good to decide on choreography for the next verse bearing this in mind. ''Flashback Aditya'' could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel – Pooja – and presently, Adi choreographed accordingly.

A/N:

We take this break from the lyrics of 'I'll Be Good' only to shift to a moving verse from 'Arsonist's Lullabye' by Hozier. It perfectly encapsulates Zoya in this story. This 'paak rishta' track from BP really irritated me, worse than the character ever had before and I had to incorporate Zoya on  @Rudvisk 's request anyway!

Anyhow, this A/N is to announce that I'm upload a 1 or 2 chapter story called 'Consumed' on the 19th of January. Do keep an eye out for it!
