Mari hasn't been attending school for a couple of days now

I'm worried...

 I've been stopping by her house now and then and I'm currently in front of her home to give her some notes from class.

.

I knock on her door and her mom answers...again.

"umm, can I speak to Mari?"

 "Actually nows not a good time", Her mom says.

"Yeah, I thought so", I mumble. "well can you give her these notes?"

"Yeah of course", she says 

As she was about to close the door I blurted

"can I ask you something?"

"sure", she says

"Why...why hasn't Mari been attending school?"

"Oh, she hasn't been feeling too good", she said.

"oh...well I hope she feels better"

And I left.
