We headed back to the camp, Fireheart looking up while I was looking at my paws. Awkwardness broke the air.

"So, what do you wanna learn tomorrow?" Firehearts meow broke out. I looked at him and purred.

"I thought you choose? You're my mentor".

"But I thought I would let you choose, after the hard times with..the fight" Fireheart looked at his paws.

"But still, Its your duty" I walked faster, I just wanted to get back and rest my eyes after what happened today"

We got to the camp, Clawface's body was gone and cats were going on with the day as if nothing happened. I walked to the apprentice den. Sandpaw was cleaning herself while Brackenpaw and Swiftpaw play fought in the back. I sighed.

I went to my nest and circled around a few times before settling down but as soon as I thought I had peace someone called me.

"What" I growled, I wanted to sleep, not do patrol or something. I headed towards the light. I stepped outside to see Cinderpaw.

"I need to check you for marks or wounds" I sighed and sat down while she put a cobweb on my ear and tail.

"So, you killed him..."

"I guess, I didn't mean to I just...ugh" I closed my eyes and let the sun soak in my fur.

"Rough" She put a herd on my two wounds, I think it's marigold?

"What happened to your leg?" I suddenly meowed out. She glanced up at me.

"Monster hit me, they said I could never be a warrior so I became a medicine cat apprentice" she glanced back down.

Way to make it awkward Spottedpaw...

"You are good to go but just be careful for a few days" Cinderpaw mewed and she turned around and hobbled back to the medicine cat den.

I looked around camp, I didn't feel like sleeping after that. I saw Tigerclaw, Darkstripe and Longtail chatting, leaning and looking around like they don't want anyone to hear what their saying so Imma respect that. Bluestar was sitting on the high rock just looking around at her Clan.

I can't believe I got another chance at life and maybe with Fireheart! But what if I mess something up? The only cats who know about me being Spottedleaf are Bluestar and Yellowfang. Fireheart too? Hopefully not, that would be awkward.

A meow interrupted my thoughts, I saw Sandpaw in front of me.

"Your going to the gathering tonight, Bluestar told me to tell you, so get ready cause we're leaving soon." I nodded at her and went to the fresh kill pile and picked a black bird.

"Mind if I join you?" Fireheart asked warmly, I purred.

"Of course, but just don't eat it all like Graystripe" I joked. He purred.

We walked over to a tree in the shade, the sun was going down anyway.

"Going to the gathering tonight?" I asked. He shook his head, meaning no.

"Yes. You think Bluestar is gonna mention the attack?" He asked while biting into the bird.

"Probably, maybe, I hope not. I don't wanna hear about Clawfaces death..." We stayed silent for a moment.

"Looks like its time to go" I looked and saw cats gathering by the entrance, I got up, meowed goodbye to Fireheart and walked towards the cats.

A/N- I'm sorry if it makes no sense like if it doesn't match the parts in the book, I'm only adding the big parts of the books on here like the fire, deaths, stuff like that so sorry if it makes no sense sometimes hehehe enjoy the rest of thee chapter!

It looked like Bluestar, Tigerclaw, Cinderpaw, Yellowfang and some other cats were there already. I padded up to Cinderpaw. If she's the new medicine cat apprentice I guess I should be friends with her maybe.

"Hey" She meowed, looking forward, I looked forward too.

"Hi" Other cats mews echoed around us while we padded along.

"Hard working in the medicine cat den huh?" She looked at me.

"Yes...Not to be mean or anything but why do you care?" She climbed over a small but big branch.

"Because I was a medicine cat before" I blurted out. Everyone stopped and stared at me.

Guess I said that too loud, oops
