Steve's POV:

We make our way through the trees, looking out for any signs of danger. I look towards Skye in awe. She's so beautiful, determined and brave. I mean, it's amazing when she warms up to you. You'd never think that a woman so upbeat and humorous has gone through the horrors she's been through. She so strong piecing herself back together all those years. I'm snapped out of my daze by the sound of her voice, "Hey Steve? Steve! Steve Rogers, Captain America! I think we're here" she says whilst giggling at the same time. "What were you thinking?".

"Oh um... nothing."

"Whatever you say Dorito"

I smirk at my newly found nickname. "Lets go over the plan".

"First we go in. Stop any HYDRA agents. Stop any weapons deals and secure the base and let the clean up crew and investigators take it from there." She says without taking a breath in between.
I give her an encouraging smile, "Let's go".

We make our way towards the building. Making sure we we're out of sight. As we enter the building her face looks shocked as we turn through the endless corridors. This place was like a maze. "Bloody hell. When will this godforsaken maze end" I hear her mutter under her breath.

After what seems like years the maze-like corridors come to an end as we approach a rusty looking door. Cautiously I open the door, my shield raised and Skye looks like she's ready to use her powers if need be, still she has a pistol in her hands just in case. We soon find ourselves in an open and empty space. Large and square with only one other door on the opposite side of the room. What? This isn't right.

"Steve?" Skye turns to me.

"Yes?"

"I thought this was supposed hold one of HYDRA's main weapons trades."

"I thought so too. Something isn't right."
She nods with me in agreement.

There's a wooden table in the middle of the room with two pieces of paper on it. I look towards Skye to see that she has also noticed it too. We both cautiously make our way over to the table. As I pick up the first paper my eyes widen at what was written on it:

Did you really think we'd let S.H.I.E.L.D capture one of our main weapons deals? You must be extremely stupid. For when you cut off one head. Two more take it's place.

I'm about to tell Skye that it's a trap when she shows me the second note, panic and fear shown across her face.

HAHA

"It's a trap!" She exclaims. "Why else would they write HAHA on a piece of paper for us to find? They must have known we were going to come. We need to get out of here!". I agree with her and we start to run towards the door we came through. There's multiple explosions, ground shaking and a cracking noise above us. I dash through the door when I hear something break and fall. I turn around to see that the doorway I had just come through was blocked by a lot of debris and most the building aflame. I look around for Skye. I can't seem to see her anywhere. Then it hits me. She's on the other side. She shouts my name frantically. I can't leave her behind! I won't leave her behind.

Skye's POV:

"Steve! Steve can you hear me?" I shout through the debris inbetween us hoping he can hear me. There's another explosion and soon after the room is alight. I can't control flames this big. One of my elemental powers isn't being able to create and remove fire, I'm only able to manipulate it. Still the flames are too big. My powers aren't strong enough. I try teleporting to where Steve is. I realise I can't. I can't teleport without knowing where I'm going. I'm unable to paint a clear picture in my mind as the fumes and smoke from the fire clouds my mind.

A few seconds later I hear Steve shouting my name.

"Skye! Are you ok?"

"Steve I need you to go and get help whilst I try and find a way out from the other side."

"No! I'm not leaving you!"

"Steve please listen to me--" I'm cut off by him refusing to listen to me.

"I'm not going to leave you Skye. There has to be another way"

I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose and take a deep breath before saying.

"STEVEN GRANT ROGERS SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME THIS INSTANT!" There's no reply from the other side so I assume he's listening.

"Steve I need you to go and get help whilst I try and find a way out from the other side. I'm going to see if there's an exit through the door on the other side of the room. I can't control the flames they're too strong. I can't put out the flames with water because there's no water for me to manipulate. I can't teleport either. I can't paint a clear picture of where I need to go. I could end up anywhere. It's too dangerous. Go please. I'll have more of a chance getting out if you get out and call for backup. "

"Ok" and with that he goes.

I turn around only to be met with more flames and smoke. The fumes burning my lungs. I try to use my powers to only let the clear air into my lungs but there's not much left. I make my way towards the other door. My head hurting from the dizziness. As I force open the door I am met yet again with flames and fumes. This whole building is on fire and will probably cave in soon. I turn a corner only to find myself in another corridor. Shit. More mazes. I keep running and turning with all my strength hoping that Steve has got out and they'll come back for me.

Extremely tired I turn one final corner and see light at the end of the corridor. I manage to form a small smile on my mouth as I make my way towards it. I'm halfway there when I notice a figure coming towards the building. What crazy person would want to go into a building on fire and explosions happening all around?

I'm almost there when I hear a crack and something heavy falls from above hitting my head. Knocking me forward in the process. It takes all my strength for me to keep my eyes open and focus on the figure coming this way. My eyelids start to feel heavy when I notice the mysterious figure has a good build.

Is it Steve? No. Steve has blond hair not brown and he definitely doesn't have a metal arm. Metal Arm?! There's only one person I know that has a metal arm... James.

It can't be.
