I made this little shpeel for anybody who's moving from middle school (junior high) to high school. Lol it's so specific.

Okay here it goes *clears throat*

It seemed like just yesterday you walked onto that campus for the first time. It's the night where the school tells you things about the school, why you should go there, how it works...

Your tiny 5th (or 6th) grade self sitting in the huge auditorium that now seems so small compared to the high school seats.

You're little feet not being able to touch the ground... I mean granted my feet still can't reach if I sit up straight but shh that's not the point.

What seemed like a hard journey is already over, and now you are moving on to the great beyond.

It was faster than I thought it was going to be you might say. Yes, it was. As you grow up time seems to move faster.

Now you are apart of this humongous new school, where there are 9 buildings and most of them have more than 1 floor! Did anything ever prepare you for that?

Did anything prepare you for the assemblies, the work, the tests, the activities?

No. Nothing could have. It's a whole new experience you have to get through on your own, with the help of your friends you should stick right by you for all four (or three) years. If they don't, that's okay. You always can make some along the way.

PS for those of you who have a different school system because you live in a different country, middle school is usually 6-8 grade (when your 10-14) and high school is usually 9-12 grade  (when your 14-18)
