•adeline is your classic mean girl. she's straight up unpleasant, constantly putting everyone around her down, yet for some reason, she's always surrounded by people that love her. she tears them down, too, makes them feel absolutely horrible about themselves so that when they try to leave, she reminds them of how horrible they are, but then comforts them so that they don't actually want to leave.
•in essence, she's a manipulative bitch, and she has absolutely no care for anyone's feelings except her own. the only reason people listen to her is because they know she could ruin them if they crossed her- now, adeline can't physically fight, but she can make you suffer in a way that you will hurt for a very, very long time. she's excellent in finding common ground with others to manipulate them, and at the beginning of a friendship addy is the perfect friend. she's always supportive and always down to hang out, but as things go on, she's increasingly horrible, but by that point, they're caught in her web. even though people already have an idea of how horrible she is, she's managed to do this countless times.

backstory
•adeline is the definition of a rich bitch, had a beyond charmed life growing up. her parents were together all throughout her childhood, but her dad was always on business trips and her mother left her to the nanny. when she was younger, she used to act out to get their attention, but quickly realized that it was pointless to do so. instead, she shifted her focus to trying to get that attention in school, and did so by stomping all over anyone that tried to keep her from doing otherwise. she was cutthroat- it was the way she'd grown up, after all- and by sophomore year, she was undoubtedly the queen of the school. with her graduation this year, there will be some sort of power vacancy which could turn into a vacuum if she's not careful. addy is trying to find someone to replace her, but doesn't think highly enough of anyone to actually choose a person.
