•emma came from a pretty well off family, her mom a lawyer and her dad a local politician. she was expected to keep appearances up. her life was pretty smooth otherwise, no major bumps, but the stress was a constant pressure in her life.
•her eating disorder began about age fourteen, when she stopped eating lunch at school and sitting outside with her friends. she quickly spiraled from that to not eating any meals, resulting in her first hospitalization. she got out, but the disorder began again, and she was hospitalized two more times at sixteen and seventeen. nothing seemed to be helping, so her parents sent her here as a last resort. emma isn't happy, to say the least.
