I Need U To Be There.... For a little more than Always!!!

Part 51:

The haldi function started with both Dhruv and Aliya sitting next to each other as their friends and family showered them with all the love and blessings. The elders started the ceremony, rubbing small amount of haldi paste over them but as the turn came to the younger clan, the scene changed completely.

Both dhruv and Aliya were immersed in the yellow paste completely, while Dhruv's cloths were all almost torn. After Fab5 and Dhruv's cousins, Navya stepped ahead towards them and applied a little of it on their faces.

Dadi: Very gud Navya beta.... At least u didn't fill them up like holi.....

Dadi commented glaring at Manik, Cabir and Mukti, who stood by a side smirking at Dhruliya, with not even a hint of being sorry for their deeds.

All of them laughed at Dadi's words and slowly Nandini came ahead and sat in front of the couple. She took a bit of the paste in her hands and applied it with at most love over Dhruv's cheeks, who smiled at her with brotherly love, but the next moment his expression changed completely as Nandini rubbed both her hands over his face and hair.

Aliya: Nandini.... U too???

Nandini smiled at her cutely and picked up more paste,

Nandini: Aww baby... Didn't expect it coming??? U too are in line Aliya....

And with this she rubbed her hands all over Aliya's face and hands....

Aliya was about to roll back with Nandini got up and moved away from them.

Nandini: Sorry guys.... But itna toh banta h!!! After All, these functions are done for the bride and groom to celebrate their togetherness only!! Right dadi??? Or a court marriage also could hv been Ohk na......

Dadi walked near her and raised her hand, acting to slap her,

Dadi: U too hv become naughty in this idiot's company!!

Dadi said looking at Manik, who gave her a toothy smile and Nandini blushed at her words. With this Nandini too joined Fab3 after washing her hands and watched the rest of the ceremony go by, when she heard a whisper.

Manik: Hmn... So someone is becoming naughty in my company haan???

Nandini blushed again but still didn't reply to his words trying to maintain a straight face.

Manik: By the way Nandini.... I hv something that belongs to u!!

Nandini looked at him confused with Manik pulled out something from his pocket and got it in front of her,

Manik: Recognise this???

Nandini was shocked looking at an earring that Manik held in front of her and immediately looked away hiding from his eyes, and nodded in a No.

Manik: Ohh... So this is not urs??

Nandini: No... Why will it be mine?? And why will it be with u??

Manik: Hmn... So, if this is not urs then who was she. U know what I think there was someone in my room last night. This has to hers only, I found it stuck on my pillow this morning.

Nandini: Last night.... Room??? Ho.. How can u be so sure that som.. someone was the.. there??

Nandini stammered making him smirk as he bent a bit lower closer towards her ear and whispered,

Manik: U know, even if ur mind is not conscious, a body always reacts to such encounters.... This morning I woke up at one side of bed, all bothered and disturbed.... If u know what I mean.....

Nandini blushed at his words but hid it and said with a stern face,

Nandini: I don't know what u r talking about....

And before he knew, she turned around and rushed back into the palace, after giving lame reasons to Dadi as the ceremony was almost over and the guests were proceeding towards their lunch.

Nandini rushed back to the room and sat on her bed blushing hard and controlling her raging breath by his husky voice so close to hers and his talks. She was too lost in her thoughts when she heard his voice,

"Thinking about me???"

She stirred at her place as she looked up to find him standing in front of her leaning at the back of the closed door, as he locked it.

Nandini: Huh... No!!

Manik: So then what exactly is making u blush so hard, if its not me??

Nandini then realised at she was still blushing and again tried to hide it when Manik moved towards her,

Manik: Um hn.... Don't try so hard!! U won't be able to hide ur blush from me babe.... And now that we r here, why not finish what we started in the morning??

Nandini immediately looked up at him with broad eyes, remembering their morning encounter in the washroom and turned around facing the other side, when she felt his warm breath over the back of her neck.

Manik: U r looking breathtakingly beautiful today!! I can't tell u how I controlled my self out there, seeing u like this and those flirty gazes from all those ppl over u, didn't help at all.

Nandini blushed further at it as he snaked his arms around her waist, pulling her back making her back rest over his hard chest. Nandini gasped at his sudden move while he rested his chin over her shoulder, placing a slow open mouthed kiss on her neck. Nandini bent her head to the other side giving him further access while Manik smirked,

Manik: U see even u can't stay away from me much....

Nandini heard his words and blushed further, as she turned at hid her face in his chest, taking him in a hug. Manik smiled at her and wrapped his arms around her again, hugging her back.

They stayed like that for a few minutes, having their peace in each other after which Manik broke the silence,

Manik: Nandini...

Nandini: Hmn!

Manik: Why did u come to my room last night??

Nandini tightened her grip around him and whispered still into his chest.

Nandini: I hv got used to ur warmth by my side.... I tried but I wasn't able to sleep without u.

Manik smiled at her sweet confession and kissed her hair.

Manik: U r my peace Nandini... I Need U To Be There by my side, to maintain my sanity...

Nandini heard his words and broke the hug looking straight into his eyes and she said,

Nandini: I Love U Manik....

Manik: I love u too....

Nandini moved a bit closer as she slowly kissed the corner of his lips making him smile to his broadest.

Manik: Wow.... Ms. Moorthy!! I think this place is having a very positive impact over u...

Manik said with a smirk as he caressed her back, doodling sometime with his fingers making Nandini look down, trying not to meet his eyes.

Manik moved her chin up using his index finger as he said in his husky voice,

Manik: Its always a treat to my eyes to watch u blush Nandini.... Look straight into my eyes!!

Nandini shivered as his hot breath fanned over her face and she saw him eyeing her lips. Both of them moved closer while Nandini closed her eyes surrendering herself to him. Manik noticed it and cupped her face while she moved her hands from his back to his hair.

Their lips were just about to touch when they heard a loud knock on the door.

Mukti: Nandini... Are u in there???

Manik groaned at it while Nandini smiled shyly and rested her forehead along with his.

Mukti: Nandini.....

Nandini: Yeah yeah... I m here!!

Mukti: Ohk come to Aliya's room fast.... Dadi is calling u. We all are taking aliya for that Milk bath.

Saying so Mukti went away while Nandini opened her eyes to find Manik staring at her intently.

She could clearly see his eyes depicting all his love and passion for her. Nandini slowly got out of his grip and smiled,

Nandini: Gotta go!!

Manik was about to say something when she suddenly came forward and pecked his lips before running out of the room shouting,

Nandini: See u later Mani....

While Manik stood there shocked. He realised what just happened and smiled at it rubbing his hand over the back of his neck.

Manik: This girl is gonna be my death!!

Later that day, everyone retired to their rooms after the event, while Nandini was busy in the arrangements for the next day that was mehendi and Sangeet function.

And Manik, Mukti along with Cavya were helping her as they were practising for the Sangeet also. The practise went on for the entire evening after which they decided to call it a day and rest.

Manik was sitting in his room waiting for Nandini as he was sure that she would go there. He waited for quite a long time but then left his room deciding to go to hers.

On the other hand, Nandini was busy on a call from the time she had reached her room and totally forgot to go to Manik. When she heard a knock on the door.

Nandini: One second, hold on.... There is someone on the door!!

She said and opened the door when Manik entered complaining,

Manik: Nandini, what r u doing?? I hv been waiting from so long!!

Nandini: Shhh...

Nandini motioned him that on a call, at which he nodded and sat on the bed. While Nandini too sat by his side and continued talking.

Nandini: Yeah.... No its just Manik!!.... Arey a lot, it was as if we were playing holi with that Haldi. Everyone really enjoyed a lot.

Manik looked at her and asked who was she talking to at which she just whispered, "Abhi..".

Manik smiled at her and rested his head on the head board, wrapping his arm around her shoulder as Nandini rested her head on his chest and continued,

Nandini: No after that We were all practising for tmrw's sangeet ceremony in the evening..... Yeah, we hv prepared a few. One of Manik, Cabir and Mukti. And apart from that Cabir-Navya and Manik and I hv also prepared duets..... Mmm..... Chalo now u work and lemme sleep!! Bye...

Nandini disconnected the call and turned towards Manik, who was busy admiring her happy face and said,

Nandini: Abhi says Hi!!!

Manik smiled at her and said,

Manik: This smile suits u... Its makes u look even more beautiful!! U r very happy talking to him right??

Nandini: Yeah.... U know Manik there was a time when there wasn't a single day, when we two didn't talk. It was our daily habit to sit and pour out our hearts to the other one. I used to tell him everything, from something as basic as my daily routine to as big as u can think of. Abhi knows me more than anyone else can ever do!!

Manik: And what if I say that I might want to take that place of his in ur life.....

Nandini looked up at him confused when Manik continued,

Manik: What if I say that I want to be that one with whom u can share anything and everything that u wish?? Coz this smile on ur face is something that I love and I would love it even more if I know I m the reason behind it....

Nandini smiled at him and kissed his cheek,

Nandini: U know Manik.... Everyone has that one reason in his/her life on which most of their emotions depend. And I don't know if u know it or not..... But it has been quite a long time now, that u hv been that reason for me.

Manik heard her and kissed her hair.

Manik: I love this expressive Nandini more....

Nandini: Achcha ji.... Btw what r u doing here??

Manik: Here.... I m saving ur energy!!

Nandini: Huh??

Manik: Arey anyways u would hv come to me now or later, so I thought why not I only come here...

Nandini smiled at him and then said in a baby voice,

Nandini: Chalo... Now I m too tired, so Mr. Boyfrnd, will u plz put to me sleep...

Manik: With pleasure....

Manik made her lie down and caressed her hair as he slowly kissed her forehead.

Nandini: Um hnnn..... Not like this!!

Nandini pulled him downwards making him lie down beside her and rested her head over his chest, wrapping her arm around his waist.

Nandini: This is most comfortable pillow for me.

Manik smiled at her and started caressing her hair, just like a father makes his daughter sleep. Nandini noticed his actions and got emotional, tears formed up in her eyes when she suddenly heard him humming as he slowly wiped away her tears and sang,

Manik noticed her sleeping soundly and kissed her forehead as he too drifted to sleep having her close to his heart.

The next morning, Nandini woke up feeling his warm breath on her face as he kissed her cheeks, instantly a smile came upon her face as she opened up her eyes and wrapped her arms around him, taking him in a hug.

Manik smiled at her cuteness as she cuddled more into his chest hiding her face from the sunlight.

Nandini: Good mrng Mani....

Manik smiled at her as he planted a slow kiss on her nape.

Manik: Indeed its a beautiful Morning!!

Nandini: Hmn...

Nandini replied still in her sleep, as he felt her breath even near his heart.

Manik: Don't wanna wake up??

Nandini: No...

Manik: Ohk... U sleep for some more time, I'll freshen up and get u some coffee.

Saying so, Manik was about to get up but Nandini pulled him back and climbed completely over him,

Nandini: I wanna sleep with u... Stay here!!

Manik laughed slightly at her and wrapped his arms around her. They stayed like that for a few minutes after which Nandini finally opened up her eyes and looked up at him with an ever so sweet smile.

Manik: So u r Finally up sleepy head!!

Nandini: Hmn... Whats the time??

Manik: 9:15!!!

Manik replied casually caressing her cheek, but the moment Nandini heard it she immediately jerked up getting off him.

Nandini: OMG manik.... Its so late, why didn't u tell me.... So many preparation are left. We hv to practise for the evening also. I hv to call those mehendi artists to be on time. Decorations hv to be done.... And-

Manik: Shh shhh shhh..... Relax!! The function is in the evning. We'll do everything.

Nandini: No no... I hv to rush!!

Saying so Nandini immediately got off the bed and was about to walk away when suddenly Manik pulled her back and before she knew she was lying on the bed, under him as he trapped her between his arms.

Manik: U know... I hv an amazing idea, to start this day on a much more memorable note.

He whispered as he caressed her cheeks, Nandini shivered at his words while he stroked her lips with his thumb.

Manik: Whats say???

Nandini closed her eyes at his proximity while Manik moved his other hand through her curves making her loose herself into him.

Nandini: Manik....

Manik eyed her lips moving closer to her slowly, but before he could kiss her he felt her fingers curl into his hair as he pulled him down and placed her lips over his.

Manik was shocked for a second but then smiled as he too responded back to her. Soon they opened up their mouths, as both fought with each other's tongues for dominance. Both of them lost themselves into that kiss as if nothing else existed for them at that point. It was just the two of them, their togetherness and their love that mattered.

None wanted to break the kiss, but had to as they were feeling breathless. Manik rested his forehead over hers, as they both breathed hard to catch up.

Manik: What r u doing to me Nandini???

Nandini blushed at his helplessly in Love tone and kissed his ear as she whispered,

Nandini: I guess I m just cherishing this adorable man that I discovered under ur Monster cover.....

Manik smiled at her answer and got off her, lying by her side.

Nandini: Now if u allow me, I m already late....

Nandini said and got up as she started taking out her cloths from the cupboard and continued saying,

Nandini: Manik.... U too freshen up fast!! We all hv to practise for the evening...

Manik: Hmn!!!

Nandini: Manik.... Get Up!!

Manik: Ohk Ohk!! Stop dominating me Mommy... I m going....

Manik said as he got up from the bed with a grumpy face. Nandini giggled at his expressions and kissed his cheek before rushing into the washroom.

Nandini: U r seriously too cute!!!

Manik stood there smiling at the closed washroom door, when he heard the noise of the running water.

Manik simply stepped out of her room.

Standing under the cold water shower, he knew that This was Life.

The water flowing over him, taking away the previous day with it, in same way as the wind blows away the past dust, and just one single person's presence can take away all your past pain from u .

Nandini was this water of his life. Before her, he was just a normal average guy who woke up every day and then walked all through it to let it pass. But this girl made his life worth living.

Nothing much has changed in his daily routine, but what makes those simple moments special is her. Well now it was All Just Picture Perfect.
