1) I've swapped how my blog entries worked! The old cringy stuff is in the back (save for the Intro and My Story, which I'll be editing after I post this), and all the fresh new stuff will be up front. Hopefully this saves my blog, because it was floundering a little thanks to crappy posts ;^^
2) Big news! I did some school projects on OCD this past March-May, and wow did people actually listen! The first was an audio-picture thing on an upstander (I did Elizabeth McIngvale). Remember that script a few entries back? That's what that thing was for. My teacher played it for the class, and everyone seemed to really like it (despite the fact the audio was horrendous xD ). That same teacher said it was brave to be so open about my experiences. Glad they're good for something!
The next project was an oral presentation with a slide. I rambled quite a bit overtime, but otherwise I did alright. Before I started, I asked my classmates if they thought they knew what OCD is. Just about everyone raised their hands. Once I finished the education session (dispelling myths, science talk, symptoms and effects, etc.), I asked them if their previous knowledge matched what I had talked about. Only 2-3 people raised their hands.
Empowerment never felt so good!
3) It's almost summer! My last day is the 6th... Though I have to survive Finals Week first. But at least my major projects and state tests are done-- I was so anxious about those I puked for 1 1/2 weeks or so, and was nauseous for 2.
But you know what summer means?
I CAN START MY CHILDREN'S BOOK :D
Status Update: OCD is still being a butt, though just not as bad. Haven't cried myself to sleep or puked in a while, and no panic attacks in a few weeks. Yippee!
The only downside? I'm on a diet trying to introduce a TON of new foods.
Well, it feels like a ton.
To me, it's like trying to climb Mount Everest when all I've climbed is one of those plastic rock walls. I may have to go back a camp or two, but I'll get to the summit in the end.
