Chapter 26

Buzz's POV

Time Skip... The Next Evening...

 The sun is beginning to set on the pier. Woody and I exchange a look before rounding up the troops. Everyone has volunteered to play a role in our proposals to our ladies. Woody and his troop go off to one side of the pier and my troop I go off to another. Woody of course has Bo with him and I have Jessie with me. When we get to the exact spot where I'm about to pop the question, I get a little nauseous. I clench my jaw so I don't have any bile come up on me. That would so ruin the mood...

     Jessie looks at me in a tired daze. "Buzz, you know I love the pier but I'm really tired today. What's going on?" I take a deep breath and look her right in the eyes. I fiddle with the ring in my pocket once more before pulling it out and getting down on one knee. "Jessie, all of my time spent with you is the best time of my life. We've made some many wonderful memories together and I would love nothing more than to continuing to do just that. The only thing is I want to do it as husband and wife rather than just boyfriend and girlfriend. You make me the happiest schmuck alive by being my girl. I love you, with every fiber of my being. I would love for us to take that next step together. Will you marry me?" 

       She covers a hand over her mouth and doesn't say anything for a minute. She then nods with tears of joy in her eyes and flings herself at me. I scoop her up into my lap and shut the world out for a moment. Right now, it's just her and I. We hear cameras flashing around us and loud cheers both right behind us and from across the pier. I smile to myself. Bo must have said yes to Woody's proposal like we all knew that she would. I then smile wider because Jessie is looking at me with pure love in her eyes. "Buzz, I would love to be your wife. I love you so much, it's always been you." I hug her tightly. "It's always been you too Jessie." 

Woody's POV

  I kept my proposal to Bo very lighthearted but sincere. I didn't want to copy Buzz word for word so I differed my speech a little bit. When I got down on one knee though, Bo said yes immediately. There wasn't a trace of hesitation in her voice which made my spirits soar. Cameras flashed around us and cheers erupt from both behind us and from across the pier. I grin from ear to ear, my boy Buzz definitely got a yes from Jessie to his proposal. The two of us are soon going to be married men. When both groups reunite at a halfway point on the pier, we all sit together and watch the fireworks shooting off in the distance. I wrap an arm around Bo and an arm around Buzz. This is exactly where we're meant to be. We're with the loves of our lives and surrounded by our closest friends. It doesn't get any better than this.
