Natsu POV

"You know Natsu it's been great having you around again" Erza smiled and broke me from a trance. I take in her words and realise that even though I'm here physically I don't feel like I'm here mentally. There is always this feeling inside me that Lucy is still alive but how could she be.

"Ah yeah" I simply reply as im unsure of exactly how to respond.

She looks me in the eyes and then takes a drink from the cup sitting on the bar bench. "Is something on your mind?"

How she is able to pick things up like that I will never understand. "Nothing more than usual" I reply hoping she will drop the subject. Even though I trust Erza, she still won't believe my feelings of Lucy's existence still, like everyone else she would shrugg it off, say I was just missing her.

"Do you want to go for a walk then?" She asks me. I look at her with confusion, sure it wasn't weird to want to go for a walk but asking me to go with her at this time as well was strange. "You know just for some fresh air that is" She said as if it would reassure the situation but it really didn't.

"Uh sure" I say even though im really not in the mood but it might help. We get to leave and I end up following Erza out. Instead of going through the town we end up going towards the outskirts of the town where the forest tree line starts. There is a trail in which goes right through and that's where we headed through.

Once the two of us were about ten metres in, Erza gazed back as if to see if we had been followed but no one was there. "What's up Erza?" I ask because nothing seems to be adding up.

"You feel it don't you?" Erza had a grip on the sleeve of my jacket and held it tight. She looked me dead in the eyes with determination and hope almost as if she was expecting a certain answer.

"What do you mean?" I ask with pure confusion.

She kind of rolled her eyes as if I was the stupidest person a live. "You can feel her, she is here somewhere isn't she?" If I hadn't been feeling the way i have and been getting those dreams I would have called her crazy. I truthfully didn't know how to feel about what was being said or what ti say. This was all surprising and unbelievable.

I think the silence between us made her think I didn't believe her so I tried to speak but nothing came out. "You know what never mind. It was a silly idea. Sorry for bringing it up. It must hurt when I say stuff like that, lets head back to the guild..." She goes to walk away and I reach for her arm, successfully stopping her from getting away.

She turns her head to look at me. A questioning glance is what i get. "I'm not the only one?" Erza smiles at me when she realises what has been said.

"No you aren't the only one, Master and I thought something was up from the start but we weren't sure how to prove it with out giving the guild false hope. We still can't promise anything now but Master feels it may be better to include you in the search because the connection you had with Lucy may help. I don't know how but what ever the Master says is usually true."

"Why have you kept this a secret?" Why would they keep something so dear to me a secret. Even though I felt relief i wasn't the only crazy one, she was my Lucy.

"It's not like you think, i swear, we just thought if we talked to you about it too soon or at all, you'd over exaggerate things and get your hopes up for something that might just be a coincidence" Erza stumbled on her words which you don't she often. She had a point but still......I don't exaggerate that much....

"Ok fine. Well what now?" I ask her.

"Well thats where I need you to come back to the guild with me as if none of this was talked about. I'll talk to Master and we will tell you where we go from here after we figure it out ourselves."

"You mean you don't have a plan?"

"Ha well you see, i didn't think 'this' would go as well as it had so you have to give me some time here. Just follow me back to the guild, smile and wait for further instructions. Can you do that Natsu?"

"Fine, I guess I can manage that"

Lucy POV

I sit in the yellow grass, staring towards the endless horizon. Nothing makes sense. How am I meant to unlock the unknown if I can't even understand whats going on in a simple scenario.

"That's the whole point. You have to learn what you don't know Miss Heartfilia" I scream and jump from my stop on the ground. Shi stands beside me peacefully as if nothing happened.

"How di...how did you?"

"What ever you think, I think, however what ever I think, you do not."

I'm ready to cry again. Why does he have to be able to read my thoughts.

"Because that is the way things are"
