I looked up into the sky and saw hunks of rock charging down.

" GET DOWN!" I roared.

I leaped on top of Moon and wrapped my wings around her.

" Qibli!" Moon cried.

Everything went black.

" Qibli, Qibli, QIBLI!"

I awoke with a start. Moon was staring in horror holding a bloody rag.

" Moon?" I croaked.

I clutched my throat. I could barely talk.

" Qibli, look to your left." Carnelian mumbled anxiously.

A wave of nausea crashed over me. My left wing was gone. Gone. Gone. Gone GONE.

" NO!" I roared as much as I could.

I looked over and saw my wing on the side of the cliff and vomited. Moon stroked my shoulder reassuringly. She wiped my mouth and crouched down to my level, of course I was sitting, I'm much taller than her. She kissed my cheek and hugged me tight. Kinkajou laid down on the side of the cliff and peered down.

" OH MY MOONS!" she screamed.

With that, Darkstalker erupted from the bottom of the cliff.

" Hello Moon. I've been waiting."
