I hopped into Rads van quickly. Who knew he and his parents don't get along very well. Now that would explain the fake ego and smile. I really wanna apologize for being a burden, but I'm just too scared to. I'll go for it anyways.

"Rad," I said, "I'm sorry, this is all my fault."

"No, it's not. It's my fault for not telling my parents about this ahead of time. They probably wouldn't have allowed you to stay anyways. Guess it's a win win scenario for them." Rad explained.

"So, where are we heading?" I asked.

"Far away from here." Rad responded.

"Do you have any cash on you?" I asked again.

"Enough to last us a while, along with gas money." Rad responded.

"Guess you're getting a new job, huh?" I asked.

"Looks like it. Shannon, I just want you to stay inside so that nothing will happen to you. You mean a lot to me and I hope it would just be the two of us together...hopefully forever." Rad said.

"R-Rad, what are you saying?" I asked, my face getting flustered.

"Shannon, I know this seems weird to you, but I love you. You mean the world to me. I just wanna protect you forever." Rad confessed.

"I...I honestly don't know what to say. I've never felt this way towards someone before. I guess these weird feelings have been adding up lately. I guess I must've fallen in love with you too." I explained.

"Welp, guess we both have fallen in love with each other overtime then, eh?" Rad said.

"I guess we have." I replied.

"Well, this city is huge!" Rad exclaimed.

"Guess we better find a motel to stay in." I said.

"Or a house I purchased here a while back." Rad responded.

"Wait, you purchased a house here all along? Why didn't you take me to it then instead of your house!" I exclaimed.

"Well, I was trying to furnish it and make it look nice for you, also I wanted to keep it a surprise for you. I was planning on moving out a year ago and I started to save up some money. Eventually, I bought the house and that's when you finally started living with me. Now we have the place all to ourselves." Rad explained.

"How big is it?" I asked.

"Two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, a master bathroom, and a bathroom. We also have a backyard." Rad said.

"Oh boy." I responded.

"Oh boy indeed." Rad replied.
