Sameeksha's POV
It was the morning after mehendi, I woke up excited and it was the first time that I was happy for the mehendi on my palms.

All my excitement vanished when I looked at my palms, there was no colour on them, as if I never applied mehendi.

I left it overnight, but the results failed.

Heartbroken, I decided to ask Bandana and Aarushi. When I unlocked my phone, I found their snaps, showing the dark brown colour of mehendi.

I had a shower and got ready for breakfast. Everyone was busy with work, I went towards the kitchen.

A lady was standing there, her back facing me.

"Excuse me?" I said, she turned.

"ACP Nivedita?" I asked, "Hi!!" She said with a handshake.

"Bas aapko congratulations kehna chahti thi shaadi ke lie" She said, I smiled. "Sameeksha, I know boht kucch galat ho raha hai, but trust me, aapki shaadi boht successful hogi. It's my promise" She said.

She's a mysterious character. Sometimes I don't understand what she says.

I just nodded.

"Me chalti hu" She said, I nodded again. I was so lost that I didn't realise when she left.

I picked a glass to pour some juice and that's when my gaze fell on my hands. My mehendi was dark brown, I looked at it carefully. How was it even possible!?

I washed my hands, but the colour was still the same. I ran to the terrace.

"Bandana!!!" I shouted. She came after few moments, "kya hua?" She asked.

I showed her my hands, "arey!! Boht acchi hai. Mene kaha tha na boht acchi lagegi" She said admiring my mehendi.

I smiled, "jab subhah uthi tab haatho pe kucch nhi tha. Tayaar hoke breakfast karne geyi aur tab achanak se yeh colour aa gaya" I said.

"Ese kese? Pehle se yehi colour hoga" She said, "mene acche se dekha tha" I said.

"Nivedita se milne ke baad rang aaya" I said.

"Nivedita kon?" She asked. "Arey haan! Tujhe to bataya hi nhi!! ACP Nivedita, mujhse woh Gehna ke call ke bareme baat karne ke lie mili thi. Aaj fir ghar aai badhai dene" I said with a smile.

"K...kon? ACP Nivedita??" She asked confused and a bit scared, "haan, kyu?" I asked.

"ACP Nivedita Dutt?" She asked, "arey tujhe kese pata?" I asked.

"ACP Nivedita Dutt ki 1984 me maut ho chuki hai" She said. I suddenly felt fear running down my spine.

"Kucch bhi, me tere jesi darpok nhi hu" I said, she did something on her phone and showed it to me.

It was a picture of ACP Nivedita Dutt, and there was a caption saying she died on 13th December 1984.

"Yeh...wahi hai. Me do baar mili hu isse, kasam se mene isse baate ki hai!" I said.

Did I talk to her spirit then? Maybe that's how she knew so much about me. Probably Gehna is a spirit too. What was going on!?

"Yeh kya ho raha hai hamare saath!?" I said on the verge of crying.

"Hame...Manjot aur Abhishek se baat karni chahiye. Aarushi aur Sumedh ko bhi bulate hai" Bandana said. "Ham shaadi takk ladko se nhi mil sakte" I said.

She kept quiet, "tu fikar mat kar. Sab theek hi hoga. Shaadi hai to accha accha soch bas. Nivedita ko bhool ja" She said. I hummed.

"Maybe phone pe baat karle Abhishek se" She suggested. I nodded.

Manjot's POV
I was selecting my sherwani for sangeet when my phone rang. It was an unknown number.

"Hello?" I said and waited for the reply, "Manjot" An unclear voice belonging to a woman said.

"Yes?" I said and walked towards the window of my room.

"Kal shaadi hai?" She said, "hanji lekin aap kon?" I asked.

"Shaadi mat karna" She said, "excuse me?" I asked, "Bandana ki maut chahte ho kya?" She asked.

It took me a few seconds to digest what she said.

"Kya bakwaas kar rhi hai aap? Aur aap ho kon?" I asked, "yaad hai na, ghar me pehli baar aate hi Bandana ke saath kya hua?" She asked.

"Uska per slip hua tha" I said even though I wasn't confident myself, "dhakka maara tha usse. Mene maara tha!!" She sadi in an aggressive tone.

I shut my eyes and gulped my saliva. "Me nhi jaanta aap kon hai, bas meri family se door rahiye, varna me police me report kar dunga" I said trying to gather my confidence.

"Police? Woh log aaj takk ACP Nivedita ka murder case solve nhi kar paae, tumhari kya help karenge" She said and disconnected the call.
