(Josh's p.o.v)

"Hello? Mr.Dun? Mr.Joseph here."
I turn my phone on speaking and continue to iron my dress pants.
"Speaking."
"The gathering is in an hour. Westboro Cemetery."
"Thank you."
A quick clink of a home phone sounds and the call ends.

I didn't like it. I hated this.

Never in a million years would I think I'd get this call.
Never in a million years would I get this call before he did. Nothing is fine anymore.

I pull the plug out of the outlet, wrap it around the iron and place it below the shelf. My pants were done, and so was my suit. That was dry cleaned. Like it matters. This is all stupid.

Tyler wouldn't want me to wear a suit. Or for me to cry and gather with his family at a cemetery.
He'd want life to keep going. He knows you can't cling to the past. He knows we're all so desperate to hold onto something that's familiar, but it's something we have to do. Tyler wasn't selfish.

The gathering starts at 7.
I check my phone. 6:17. Where are my keys?
