♡ let me start by saying that chiara is much, much too good for the corrupt castle of crecia.

♢ chiara has always been a kind soul. she's sweet to strangers, and she's never unnecessarily harsh or rude.

♤ chiara has a sense of wonder to her. it never seems like she's walking, she floats instead. there's magic running through her veins. there's something special about this one, mystic.

♧ you'll quickly learn that chi is one of the best listeners in all of crecia. as a healer, she meets plenty of people with interesting stories to tell. she's the one to listen. she takes a genuine interest in people, letting them unload their burdens on her. honestly, sometimes she's more of a therapist than a healer.

♡ chiara is also a very secretive person. she always has a twinkle in her startlingly blue eyes as if she knows something you don't. it's like she's one step ahead. you can never quite tell exactly what she's thinking, but you'll always want to know.

♢ are you looking for someone completely trust worthy? well, you've find her. this girl holds the world's secrets in the palm of her hand. if someone shares something private with her, she's taking it to the grave. she respects people enough to respect their wishes. this is a very, very good quality for a healer to have.

♤ chiara's incredibly perceptive. even if you're a master of deceit, it'll seem like she's looking right through you. her blue eyes will pierce you'll soul, and she'll know who you truly are. the thing is, you don't need to worry because she won't call you out. she'll just have that mystic, knowing grin of hers on her face. with one wink from her, you know she's not going to turn on you.

♧ chiara has an incredibly bright personality, even in an incredibly dark palace. she's constantly found skipping around, giggling, humming while she works, reading while lying upside down hanging off a sofa. that's the type of girl she is. a lovely goof and a great friend.

☼ BACKSTORY ☼

believe it or not, our dear chiara was born in the slums. on a warm summer day, the baby girl was born to michael and genevieve beckett. the two responsible parents were the proud owners of a dress and formalwear shop. michael ran the business side of the shop, and genevieve was the seamstress. the little shop was in the slums, but it was in the nicest part possible, right on the edge next to the palace. often times, genevieve beckett would be summoned by nobles to the castle for fittings since some nobles weren't brave enough to go to the shop in the slums. on these lovely little adventures into the palace, genevieve would take her daughter with her to help as an assistant. genevieve would dress little chiara in her finest dress, and the two would have fittings for courtiers. chiara loved the trips to the palace as a little girl. she was too young to understand the corruption of the palace. she was too young to recognize how the courtiers stared at the 'trash' from the slums that would come give fittings. so chiara grew up relatively happy. due to the dangerous nature of the slums, chiara never really wandered far from home. she stayed in the little dress shop, but she was happy.

eventually though, chiara got older. when she was sixteen, she was still accompanying her mother on fittings. one particular day, they were going to take measurements for a wedding gown for the future bride of a courtier that lived in the palace. unfortunatley, in the middle of measuring the young maiden's waist, she fainted. everyone around them panicked. the head healer was out of the palace on a trip! who could save her? oh, did i forget to mention that chiara has a gift? no one in the beckett family ever stayed sick for more than a day. chiara has magic flowing through her veins. chi knew about her abilities, but her parents just believed they had good genes. but anyway, back to the story at hand. chiara rushed over to the maiden's side, surprising everyone around by taking charge of the situation. all it took was chiara applying a wet washcloth to the maiden's forehead and laying her hands on the girl for her to slowly regain consciousness. now, this wasn't necessarily magic, but anyone who saw chiara could tell that something had happened while she was helping the bride to be. everyone in the room had to question 'was it just me, or did the room all the sudden get brighter? was there glowing?' all it took was one maid to recognize the signs. she'd seen the healers in the infirmary work, and she recognized the gift. this one event sent chiara's life spiraling in a whole new direction. this maid insisted that chiara meet the head healer once he got back from his trip. when this happened, the healer immediately recognized the chiara had magic in her. healing magic was one of the best kept secrets of the palace. only a special few knew about it. this was the opportunity of a lifetime. when chiara was offered a room at the palace and a job with the healers, she took it. it was heartbreaking to leave her parents, but she promised she'd visit often. after only one year, chiara had excelled to match the abilities of even the head healer. it was only one more year before he retired, and chiara took his place. ever since then, chiara's life has been a whirlwind of adventure and healing. and, where, oh where, will it take her next?

☼ FLAWS ☼

♡ as of right now, chiara is sounding slightly perfect, right? well, we all know we can't have that, so i shall present you with a few of her flaws to even the playing field.

♢ chiara doesn't always open herself up to others. while people feel completely safe to pour out their souls to her, she tends to be surprisingly quiet. she doesn't talk about personal matters or feelings much. she's either listening, healing, or giggling. she doesn't really show anyone the other more emotional sides of her.

♤ there's not much you can do to get chiara to dislike or judge you, but there is one. if she trusts you, like genuinely trusts you, and you successfully lie to her, she'll be hurt beyond belief. if you can actually pull off a lie that chiara believes, she'll be rather unforgiving about the whole matter. she hates being tricked. she loves seeing through people.

♧ last of all, chiara is stubborn. you wouldn't expect that, right? she seems like go with the flow kind of girl, but not always. she knows right from wrong, she knows the way she wants things done, and she doesn't like things being any other way. if there's a rule she doesn't like, she'll probably be stubborn and do things her way, breaking said rule. she follows her own moral compass, not the rules of the palace.
