OH BOY, rafael is trouble. he's
the type of person you'll never be
able to catch up with. irresponsibility
is just the name of the game with
him. he's a dancing through life
type of person. he never thinks
anything through. he never thinks
before he speaks, and he's always
taking risks and doing random
shit that gets himself in trouble.
when rafael first meets people,
he definitely puts on the whole
charming act. he has a gorgeous
smile, and he's 100% likely to try
and use it to his advantage. yes,
the boy is a bit manipulative
sometimes, but that's just a small
part of his personality. mostly,
he's just reckless. the boy hasn't
'found himself' yet. he's just trying
to have some fun and live while
he's young.

ONCE you get to know raf,
you'll probably start to see
him as a more simple person.
yes, he's reckless. yes, he's
spoiled. yes, he's irresponsible,
but that all just covers the fact
that he's really really confused.
he doesn't know what he wants.
the boy doesn't have many real
friends. his friends instead are
just other over privileged,
snobby rich boys. so yeah,
maybe rafael is a little problematic,
but he's working on it. on an even
deeper level, rafael is a surprisingly
caring person. he doesn't let people
in easily, but when he does, he's
the type of person to be loyal to
a fault. some would say he even
begins to care too much. this hasn't
happened many times, but it's
happened enough where raf
cares for someone more than
anyone and then gets hurt because
of it. this is why he puts up a
front around most people before
they can get close to him.

so yeah, raf is an absolutely
confusing mess. he doesn't really
have any excuses for the way
he is, but he's still trying to
figure things out. what's wrong
with raising a little bit of hell?

backstory

A SILVER SPOON was placed
in rafael astor's mouth almost
the second he was born on the
cold night of october eighteenth.
yes, that's right, raf was born
into a life of luxury. a life of
being filthy fucking rich. his
parents, jordan and donatella
astor, both came from wealth.
his father was an insurance man
and his mother had basically been
groomed to be the perfect trophy
wife. well, what's a happy family
without their firstborn son? rafael
in fact wasn't the first born, he came
three years after his older brother,
jordan jr. (or jj as raf called him,
much to jordan's annoyance).
from day one, the two never got
along. yes, sibling rivalry was the
name of the game between the two
astor boys. jj was perfect. he
was the son who got straight a's,
charmed every adult he ever met,
and was set to run the family
business one day. meanwhile,
raf was the screw up who got
straight c's and drag raced in
his free time. you need someone
responsible? go to jordan. you
need someone with an inferiority
complex? go to rafael. ever since
raf went off to college, the two
brothers hardly speak.

COLLEGE is a beautiful time
for raf. a time for him to fuck
around. due to his father's
connections, he got in with a
breeze and he's pretty untouchable.
he would've been expelled at
least six times by now if he didn't
have a rich daddy. luckily, he did.
so he's able to coast and just have
a good time. this is obviously
what led him to vegas one weekend
where everything would change...
