Monday came and I was able to ask my neighbor to look out for my kids while I am at work.

Odessa Baron is a devoted housewife to her husband, Samuel, a successful business owner and a loving mother to their two kids, Yoshua, 5 and Ylliad, 4 years old.

Technically, today is my first job here in the city.

Mr. Park asked me a favor to look out after the love of his life, Amanda Catalin.

Amanda is currently a Human Resource Recruitment Staff.

It seems too cringey for some for Mr. Park to do such thing but I guess you're not too old for some romantic stuff.

I was busy with checking the records and proposals and other signatories the department heads forwarded to my office awhile ago for Mr. Park to sign when my phone beeped for a message.

I swiped it right and read.

MisterKo:
Don't forget to eat your lunch, misis.

I can't help but to blush at Reagan's one-liners.

Me and Reagan has been going out for more than two months now. And I'm grateful for him.

He sees my children as if his own. I don't intend to fall and give in to him but nothing feels good than seeing my kids happy and carefree with his presence.

I quickly replied and returned my phone in my pocket.

I was jotting down the list of my to-do's for this afternoon when the the office phone rang.

"Hello, may I please speak with Mr. Park So Young?" A male voice answered.

"I'm sorry, Sir. Mr. Park is currently out of the office. May I know who's on the line?" I said and grabbed the notepad and pen to start scribbling his message.

"Tell him that this is Alfred Young-Rivas of Young-Rivas, Inc. I want to schedule a meeting with him this week. Contact me on the number my secretary will tell you to." He said and passed the phone to his secretary.

"Noted, Mr. Rivas." I said and spoke with his secretary.

After writing on their contact details, my stomach automatically crumbled.

I looked at the clock and noticed that it was already quarter to twelve.

I saved the document I am working on and logged out of my computer.

Grabbing my sling bag with the phone, wallet and keys to the office with me, I locked the door and went to the elevator to the cafeteria.

I smiled to fellow employees who were inside the elevator before me.

I stepped back when two employees went in from the 9th floor.

We were five inside the elevator when I saw Amanda went inside from the 7th floor.

Amanda, indeed, is beautiful. With her coffee brown hair flowing freely down her shoulders, fair complexion and a height of about 5'4, she could pass as a model.

Our eyes met and I automatically gave her a smile. Even her smile is radiant and instantly lights up the room.

We were able to reach the cafeteria at the ground floor and I immediately start finding a table to sit on.

The cafeteria was full of employees enjoying their break time and it seems difficult to find a table.

I decided to went straight to the concessionaire counters and ordered menudo with rice and a bottle of water. I saw one of my dessert favorites, brownies and bought two for myself, for later and for merienda in the afternoon fifteen-minute break.

As soon as I got my tray of food, I immediately looked around for a table.

Luckily, I found one at the far left side of the caf. I placed the tray on top and sat down.

I was enjoying my food when I saw a thin built of woman standing in front of me.

I looked up and saw Amanda.

"Hi." Amanda greeted and flashed a smile. She, too, was holding her tray of food and c2 apple, and was standing in front of me. "Pwede makishare ng table?"

I nodded and smiled. I started to get shy while I bit on my food.

I watched her sat down and began eating.

Trying to be comfortable, I engrossed myself on my food and soon, I was finished with it.

I was reaching out for a brownie when I saw Amanda doing the same thing on her tray across mine.

Nagkatinginan kame at biglang natawa na parang may nakakatawang binanggit ang isa't isa.

"Gusto mo din ang brownies?" I asked pointing out the 3 pieces of it on her tray.

Amanda shyly nodded but grinned.
"Anong gusto? I love them! I am a sucker for sweets!"

I laughed. "Same same! Omg! Masarap ang brownies ng Max's, natikman mo na?"

"Of course! Masarap din ang desserts sa Dad's restaurant. Nakapag-eat all you can ka na dun?" Amanda asked as we munch on our sweets.

"Hindi pa! Game tayo sa weekend?" I asked and wiggled my eyebrows.

And that, is how our friendship started.
