Chapter 3.

Reality hits

I was running. Just running, from what you ask? Reality; Myself; The truth? Running from it all. I started climbing a tree because I had nowhere else to run. I was running across the tree tops. No one saw because it's about ...oh one o'clock in the morning. I should probably explain what happened why I'm doing this....

-Rememberance-

I woke up it was pretty dark out so about midnight.I perked my ears to listen for breathing or heart beats hoping that it was just a dream and yesterday really didn't happen that I dreamt my parents were dead. That I dreamt my brother Nick came back asking to see me. But I heard nothing. No sound in the house. No heartbeat besides mine. No breathing besides mine. Total silence. The house was to quite, to filled with memories trying to haunt me, trying to get under my shell I created so I wouldn't fall apart . So I jumped out my window and started running.

I didn't want reality to hit. I didn't want to remember yesterday at all. I didn't want any of this! I didn't ask to be a cat! I didn't ask for my parents to die! I didn't want any of this to happen!! But it did now you have to live with it . I don't want to!! Stop. You sound like a child . I don't care!!! Yes you do. I know you. You know I do ; I am you. "CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!??" No. Oh by the way will you stop shouting you're gonna wake people up. "Thanks." I said as I rolled my eyes. my inner cat is such beach. Thank you. Ughhh told you. You know you're not talking to me so who are you talking to? Myself. But I am you. Whatever that's not what I mean. I think it is and you don't want to admit it. "Will you shut up!!!!" heh heh fine . Oh I think we need some milk or fish or something. I'm starved. "Shut up!!...... we'll get something soon." let's go back home. No! Why not? Because I said. Because you're having issues and is being a whose? No!! Thought so ............ Hey... you know what I can call Neko's inner cat through the cat mind thing. No! Don't! Why? Because. Why? Because I said! Is it because you don't want me to cause- okay! Fine we'll go home! Yay! And I turned around .

I got back to my house around two forty-five and ate fish with chicken, toped with spaghetti, washed down with milk with pickles and chocolate ice cream on the side.Not as bad as it sounds. Then I texted Neko.

"Hey....r u up?"

Neko😎😺:"Yeah. I'm up. What's up?"

"Went out for a bit to calm myself .Had a fight with Kattie. She won."

Neko😎😺:"Oh."

"Yeah. Neko....It so quite here."

Neko😎😺: "I'm sorry. You want me to come over??"

I stared at the text. Not sure if I did. Would it help? Kind of.

Neko😎😺: I'm coming open you're window.

Neko😎😺: I'm here."

"Okay"

I went upstairs and opened my window to let Neko in. His blond hair disheveled and one ear perked while the other one is down. He looked....Cute. wait did I just say cute?

Neko p.o.v.

I was wide awake. I felt the need to check on Rose, but it was was 12:00 at night so I just changed into a cat (there was a sound like a rip and I was low to the ground.) purrfect. I thought. I roamed around my house a bit looked next door to check on Rosie when I heard ' Language' and saw Rosealee texted me

Rose😼❤:Hey are you up

I replied saying : Yeah I'm up what's up?

Rose😼❤:went out for a bit to calm Myself. Had a fight with Kattie. She won.

Kattie is her inner cat. Of course she won. I laughed and sent back:Oh.

Rose😼❤:Yeah...Neko..it's so quiet here.

She sounds so sad ....
I sent : I'm sorry. Do you want me to come over?
She didn't respond provably deciding if its fair to me.
So I sent : I'm coming open you're window.
I opened my own widow and jumped to the tree that separated our houses and texted Rose telling her I'm here. I didn't give her a choice if she wanted me over or not . I heard her run up the stairs and open her window for me to jump in. Her dirty blonde hair was slightly blowing in the breeze the window was letting in. her black ears in plain sight twitching. Her tail thrashing. Her emerald green eyes betraying her smile. Yet She still looked beautiful. We stood there for a minute and all of a sudden she ran to me and started criing.More like bawling. I looked down at her and hugged her back petting her hair while she cried."shhhhh everything's going to be okay Rosie. Everything's alright." she looked up at me and shook her head saying " How? How is everything going to be alright?". She looked sad, yet expective . " I don't know it just will........ okay?" she nodded her head. " Do you want to go downstairs and watch a movie?" I know didn't have to worry about chick flicks with her, But right now I don't care if we watch fault in our stars whatever can get her to smile is all I want. She nodded her head

"Will you're parents mind you being over here all-night?"

"No they won't mind . They love you Rose.". so do i.

"Okay but don't let yourself get in trouble okay?"

I smiled ."Okay"

She decided to watch 'Captain America : Civil War.' it was pretty awesome if you ask me. Thats because you like her. No I don't Calim. yes you do. Who better to know than yourself? Whatever Calim. Let me be. Fine by-e-o. Bye. By the way Calim is my inner cats name. Mainly we call them our cats, so nobody figures out we are cats. Pretty smart huh?

By the middle of the movie she passed out. Probably because of the comfort of not being alone. I took her back to her room and layed her down on her bed. Silently brushing her hair out of the way of her angelic face and suddenly wished I could give her a kiss and I was about to when a familiar voice said not yet. In my head. Knowing it was Calim I asked 'why not?' she's not ready. Fine. So I sat down in the chair by the window waiting for morning. I was thinking about what Calim said and slowly drifted off to sleep.

- Rose's p.o.v. -

I must of drifted off to sleep because I'm now laying in my bed. I turned my head to see Neko passed out in my chair. Poor boy, he probably didn't get much sleep last night. I thought. I'll go down stairs and make breakfast.

I was flipping the last egg when I herd footsteps coming down the stairs he still looked very tired. Maybe breakfast will help wake him up.

" It smells good in here.oh by the way sorry for falling asleep in your chair last night "

"Thank you. And it's fine you were obviously tired. Still are I might add."

"Nah. I'm fine" he said stifeling through a yawn.

"Yeah right. Here" I said as I handed him a plate of scrambled eggs,bacon,and toast. He started munching down as I fixed my plate and went to sit with him.
