The worst part of the trip was Kili waking you, the pain flooded back to your senses, you gripped his clothing as the pain was excruciating and you were pulling his shirt down. Kili looked at you in concerned, you had paled so much will you slept. It was almost as if though you gave the poison a chance to spread around your body, you were weak and couldn't stand with out his assistance, you finally reached Bards house and that was the painful part, it took both Kili and Fili to get you up and out of the boat, you crying out as Fili grabbed your arms to help you up, Kili then resorted to carrying you, your head falling against his chest.

Bard opened the door for you all to get in, Kili and you were the last in, you began to sweat as you fought the infection off, you barely had the strength to open your eyes or lift yours from his chest to meet Bards, his two daughters and son saw how ill you were and they had prepared a makeshift bed on the floor for you, Kili slowly knelt down before finally gently laying you on the bed causing you to whimper as his arms left your side, you laid on your back.

"How is she?" Thorin asked.

"Not good" Kili answered, as he mopped your brow with a cloth he grabbed off the table.

"Kili...?" You croaked.

"Don't talk (Y/N), you need to save your strength and focus on getting better" He told you, you clasped your hand to your side as pain shot through your being causing you to cry out, Kili took your hand gently away from the wound.

"Oin!" Kili called. The aged Dwarf came rushing to yours and Kilis side.

"Kili give her some space" Oin said, but you grabbed Kilis arms.

"Don't leave me" You pined.

"I wont" Kili said collapsing by your side as you pulled on his arm.

"This is going to be painful, you're going to have to take your coat off, so I can get to your wound" Oin told you, you looked at Kili who gave you a reassuring nod, so he helped you take your coat off, Oin then cut the side of your top making a slit in it, so he could see how bad it was. Without you noticing he looked up at Kili, it was bad news the infection had travelled down your side and up to your shoulder and made its way across your collar bone as your veins had turned ebony where the infection was present.

"What weapon was it?" Oin asked.

"A Mor...dor...shaft!" You wheezed.

All the dwarves exchanged worried glances. "I am going to have to cut the arrow head out, and I am going to need to get her on the table and I am going to need to a bucket" He said.

"A bucket?" Fili asked raising his eyebrow.

"For the blood" He answered.

"Blood?" You quizzed him, springing up and shrieking as the arrow head dug its way deep into your body.

"Do it!" Thorin exclaimed. So Kili picked you up, screaming at his touch involuntarily, he put you down on the table softly.

"(Y/N) keep your eyes on me, don't look" He told you clasping your hand gently. Oin had a knife that he dug into your side, causing you to squirm.

"Dwalin, Fili hold her down" He ordered.

"Its okay lass, we'll take care of you" Dwalin told you, holding your legs down and Fili holding your shoulders down, you screamed so loud you were pretty sure Smaug could hear you in the mountain.  All Dwarves winced as you screamed out, but it was breaking Kilis heart. Oin had cut a slit into your body your blood cascaded into the bucket below tapping the steel like a drum  and he could see the arrow head, so he carefully removed it, you had stopped screaming as you had passed out, but now the arrow was out your blood just flooded out non stop, and it was now a race against time to save you.

"We're losing her!" Fili exclaimed and glanced at his brother who was beginning to worry.

"Please save her Oin, please I beg you. Don't let go (Y/N) please" Kili begged resting his hands on either side of your face and kissing your head. "I need you" he whispered.

"Ohl god!" Oin exclaimed.

"What?" Kili panicked.

"The arrow head has pierced an artery in her body, I need to find it and stitch it up" Oin said, Kili refused to leave your side but he was beginning to get in Oins way.

"Kili go outside!" Oin ordered.

"No" He detested.

"Come lad" Thorin prompted him, so he accompanied Kili outside but turned back to Oin and nodded before joining his nephew outside.

Oin soon found the artery and sowed it up, before stitching up your wound all together and wrapping a bandage around your waist, you were left on the table to rest and Bard even lit the fire for you to keep yourself warm, even if Kili's coat was draped over your shoulders, you were sleeping peacefully but every now and then a whimper would escape your lips.

Kili walked back in and saw your resting form and he joined you, standing by the table ad rested his hand on yours. "Will she live?" He asked.

"Its just a waiting game now" Oin answered.

A few hours later and you were awake, you rested your hand on his face and he leant his head into your touch, you had tears dribbling down your cheeks. "Don't cry my angel" He said.

"Kili... I love... you and thank...you" You said to him before letting your hand drop from his face and land on the table, with a thud stirring all the other dwarves who were dozing.

"(Y/N), (Y/N) !" Kili called your name over and over but you didn't respond, as you were in the clutches of the grim reaper now. Kili soon began to cry and pulled your top half towards him, hugging you close, his shoulders shaking as he cried hysterically. "Why did you have to leave me?" He sobbed, his tears dropping into your hair and running down your courting braid which had his bead on the end of it.

"I am sorry lad" Dwalin said resting a hand on his shoulder.

"Kili, she really did love you, but just didn't know how to show you, till she passed" Fili told him trying to comfort his brother. Little did he know that you were standing behind him looking on at the scene in front of you and your ivory wings wrapped around his form and your hand resting on his shoulder, you were now Kilis guardian angel.
