Luke's POV

"Taylor, will you marry me?" I got on one knee and opened the ring box in this very fancy Italian restaurant. It was Taylor's favorite, and I talked to the waitstaff to help me pull off this night.

"Of course!" she gushed, and I stood up and placed the ring on her finger.

"So, I kinda want to start wedding planning just a little bit. I have one question. Big wedding or small one?" I asked when we sat down to eat dessert.

"I'm kinda thinking a small one. Just you, me, the boys and their families, your family, and my family. Is that okay?" she asked.

"It sounds perfect," I leaned forward and kissed her.

*the next day*

"You did what?!" Frank, the head of management exclaimed.

"I proposed," I repeated, watching him stare at me like a blinking idiot.

"Why didn't you ask?!"

"If I remember correctly, dating Taylor is no longer a publicity stunt. Remember? You tried to break us up, but we reached an agreement and I got to keep dating her. Well, I proposed to her. So, because the relationship is on MY terms, not yours, I can do whatever the bloody hell I want to," I smirked.

He rubbed his eyes and face.

"Fine, we'll allow it, but you have to have a large wedding. We want this in the press as much as possible."

"Oh, I'm not about to have my own wedding turn into Greg Horan's wedding. Do you remember what happened? Let me refresh your memory. Fans showed up outside the church just because Niall was there. If you repeat that, then you're going to have a mobbed church, and it'll be even worse. How about this. Taylor and I have a small ceremony with just us, our families, and the boys and their families. Then, later, maybe after the honeymoon, Taylor and I can have a larger reception with tons of people. Is that acceptable?"

Frank thought about it for a few moments before giving me his decision.

"I accept that proposal. You and Taylor can have a small ceremony and then have a large reception. We'll even pay for everything for the reception," Frank said.

"Pleasure doing business with you, sir," I stood and shook his hand before leaving the office with a triumphant smile on my face.

"Hey, babe, so, a small change of plans. We can still have our small ceremony, but management is forcing us to have a large reception. But, they've promised to pay for it! I'll see you in a few minutes!" I left a message on her voicemail.
