***

You have been friends with Dream and Sapnap for as long as they're friends themselves. You know that they've gotten famous from playing Minecraft, gaining subscribers as fast as an eye could blink. Growing up, the three of you have gotten closer, and even after meeting George, the friendship couldn't have been stronger.

Which surprises you when Sapnap randomly asked you out on a date.

The "Yeah, sure," that escaped your lips was much more surprising.

Sapnap glanced at himself in the mirror, nerves coursing him through him. He combed through his hair one more time before placing a cap on it. He gave a smile towards his reflection before cringing internally. To say he was nervous was an understatement, but he willed himself to go through it.

He has had the biggest crush on you since the day you two met. It might have been a slight admiration from the way you acknowledged him the first time, but as time passes, this snowball of adoration at the top of the mountain cascaded down and grew triple in size.

The two of you met up on a mini-golf course. He sees you on your phone and he rushes to greet you. "Hey, sorry I'm late."

"It's fine. I just got here," you hid your device away and look at him. "So, where should we start?"

After getting the materials you needed, you hiked up to the first hole and Sapnap was lining up to strike the ball. He swung with little strength and ball rolled until it was close to the hole but it didn't get in. "Dang, that was close."

"My turn," you said, shimmying playfully like a golf professional and hit the ball with the thwack. You waited on bated breath as the ball cautiously edged on the hole until it completely fell. "Yes! Hole in one, baby!"

"Lame, you probably cheated."

"How do you even cheat at this? Just admit that I'm objectively better than you at mini-golf."

Sapnap stared at you with his pursed lips and you look at him in confusion because he wasn't replying. "You okay"-

"I- need to use the bathroom!" He bolted away before you could say anything. You picked up your ball from the hole with the confusion still lingering in your mind because Sapnap already wanted to piss from the 30 minutes he just got here. But you shook your head and told yourself that maybe he drank something before leaving.

However, Sapnap didn't go to the bathroom. He might've walked towards the direction of it, but he didn't enter. Instead, he took out his phone and dialed Dream's phone number.

Dream answered after two rings. "Hello? Aren't you supposed to be out with Y/n?"

"I am. I just don't know what to do. We're playing mini-golf right now and I don't know if I should beat her at this to show that I'm good at the game or let her win so she could like me."

"What are you even talking about, Sapnap?" Dream was incredulous. "Maybe you should stop thinking about either winning or losing and just have fun with her?"

"I..." Sapnap bit his lip. "I'm just nervous. I really wanted this to work."

"I know, dude." He laughed from the other end of the call. "Just be you and have fun out there, okay? I gotta go do something. Bye." Dream ended the call before Sapnap could reply. He took a deep breath and attempted to relax himself before going back to where you stood.

"You took quite a long time in there." You noted once he got there. "Long line?"

Sapnap nodded fervently, riding along with your assumption. "Yeah."

"Okay, well." You dropped the subject. "It's your turn now."

For the rest of the holes, Sapnap let himself loose and have fun with you, sharing jokes and laughing at them. You even took pictures without him knowing, and selfies of the two of you after swinging a shot. In the end, you won but it wasn't because he let you win, you were just better than him.

The place you went to was quite a big place, and mini-golf was just a part of it. There was also an arcade inside of a building that you sure didn't pass up, pulling on Sapnap's wrist and sprinted there, trying out different games with the coins you got. Crane games were skipped because you knew it was rigged. Sapnap won you a stuffed walrus after hitting something. It was a minor prize, and he wasn't satisfied.

"Why do you look so down? You just won me this cute walrus!" You lifted the toy up like it was a baby. Your heartbeat escalated when he gave you the walrus, meaning that he won the game for you.

"I could've won you the Pikachu one." The Pikachu was the grand prize, and he could've, but sadly he didn't reach the streak.

"I'm pretty sure the game was rigged and it's just for display, anyway." You played with the walrus in your hands, the huge smile on your face wasn't fading. "Come on, Sapnap, look at this cute little animal." You practically shoved it in his face. He smiled a little but it didn't reach his eyes.

You frowned a bit, seeing that his mood dampened. So, you reached down for his hand and squeezed it reassuringly, looking forward to not notice the way he looked down at your interlocked hands. Sapnap felt a little better as he held your hand the entire time.

The two of you decided to play a bit of basketball, playing against each other, with Sapnap winning in the end because you guessed he was more athletic than you? You played a few more rounds before Sapnap wanted to go and buy the both of you bottles of water. "Be right back."

"Oh, I can go with you," you began to walk, but he stopped you with the palm of his hand.

"No need. Wait here."

When the back of his head was out of sight, you slumped your back against the basketball game, carrying the walrus while eyeing the nearest stand of water bottles.

Sapnap looked behind him before hastily contacting Dream. Dream was minding his own business, but he answered the call. "Yo."

"I think the date is going well. We went to this arcade-" He basically told the whole story while trying to find water. He eventually found one and went to buy two.

"Okay?" Dream weirdly responded. "And you wanted to tell me this because...?"

"I don't know..." Sapnap trailed off weakly, realizing that it was pretty useless to tell him. "I just wanted to release some nerves, I guess."

"You're still nervous?" Dream asked in disbelief. "Why are such a pussy- oh, bye, my mom is knocking on my door."

"But-"

"Byeeee!"

You see him emerging from the corner. You smiled confusedly at him, despite the suspicion lingering in your mind. "H2O! Cool!"

"Yeah, here." The two of you drank at the same time, basking in the murmurs of the other people. Finally, feeling hydrated, you decided that you had enough playing and wanted to step outside. Sapnap diligently follows you. He glanced down at your hand and subtly brush against it. Immediately, you held it, making Sapnap smile.

You and Sapnap found a bench near an ice cream truck outside the arcade. There weren't a lot of people so there were plenty of vacant seats. You sat with the stuffed toy in your lap and Sapnap volunteered to buy the both of you ice cream, not even going to ask for your order because he already knows your favorite ice cream flavor.

"Hey," you said the moment he arrived at your bench. He handed you the ice cream cone of your favorite flavor. "Thanks."

"You're welcome."

You sat in comfortable silence, watching other people do their own thing. "Oh, hey." You turned to him, showing him the toy. "What do you wanna name your child?"

"My child?"

"Well, it's yours." You raised your eyebrows as if it was an obvious fact.

"But I got it for you. So it's yours."

You rolled your eyes. "Okay fine, so do you have a name for our child? Mason?"

Sapnap suddenly choked in his own spit. From the comfortable position he was in turned into him coughing and looking hysterical in less than a minute.

"I'm joking." You laughed at his overdramatic reaction. "Mason is such an ugly name."

He stared at you in disbelief at how quick you were to dismiss the topic. He tried to casually eat the dessert in his hand, but he just couldn't get over it. He glanced at you, and you looked like you were waiting for him to suggest a name. "Walrein?"

You gave him an unamused smile. "Really? Pokémon?"

"It's a walrus. It would only be fitting if it's a walrus-themed name."

"You have a point." You nodded slowly, licking your ice cream as you stare blankly afar. Sapnap stared at you speechlessly, having a quick glimpse at your lips before reverting to your eyes that looked at him. "Hm?"

"I..." He stammered. "Uh." You opened your mouth to say something but Sapnap suddenly stood up. "I have to take this call!"

Your brows furrowed upon his unexpected move. He indeed took out his phone and his back was facing you, swinging side to side impatiently as if he was waiting for someone to answer instead of him answering the call...

"Come on," Sapnap mutters impatiently. "Answer, you idiot!"

"Yeah?" Dream answered. "I'm in the middle of something!"

"I'm freaking out right now."

"What happened?"

He sighed, feeling stressed out. "I... I don't want to mess things up." He couldn't say what was on his mind.

"Sapnap, just relax," he reassured. "She wouldn't just agree to go on this date with you for fun. I think she likes you a lot too."

Sapnap's eyes widened when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and saw you wearing a knowing look, your arms crossed. You silently laid open your palm and gestured at his phone to which he nervously handed as the two of you locked eyes.

You kept your eyes on him, not even looking at the contact. "Call you later, Dream." You ended the call, and Sapnap looked even more stunned, his skin turning sickly pale as though he had seen a ghost. You still didn't speak, waiting for him to explain.

Sapnap was a stuttering mess. "I- okay, it might look bad, but I promise, I wasn't like- bored or anything, I was just so nervous thinking I'm not doing a good job, but I really, really like you-"

He stopped when you placed a hand on his shoulder comfortingly. You couldn't keep the smile on your face from growing. "Sapnap, we're not strangers. We didn't just meet at a random coffee shop and you asked me for my number or something. We're already the closest friends." You regarded the way his eyes cast downwards to the ground when you mentioned friends.

You tried to meet his eyes, crouching down a bit. "I said yes to the date because..." you trailed off. "Well, because... I kind of like-like you too."

"You do?" he finally looks at you, hope in his features. "You didn't wanna go out with me because you think it might be fun?"

"Did Dream tell you that?" You questioned, looking amused. Sapnap shamefully nodded. "Well, yes, I wanted to go out with you because I think it would be fun, and I had a lot of fun with you."

His breath hitched when you stepped closer and you noticed.

"Are you nervous?" You asked, looking at him directly.

He nodded.

"Don't be," you whispered. "It's just me."

"That's the thing. It's you."

"If you're afraid of me that much then close your eyes."

Sapnap sputtered. "Wait, I didn't mean."

"Just do it."

He hesitantly closed them, his mind coming up with the worst scenarios possible. Will you leave him standing there like a fool? Is it actually all a prank and you and Dream are already a couple?

"Okay. Here goes nothing." He hears you mutter to yourself before you leaned forward and kiss his cheek. It ended quickly just as it started. Sapnap's eyes blew wide open as he stared at you in disbelief. He instinctively placed a hand on the spot you placed your lips on, looking entirely mesmerized.

Sapnap didn't have anything to worry about after all.

And when he secretly told Dream the whole thing, there was the inevitable "I told you so".
