     ↳very cute. i'm filipino so this was very fun to write. MIGHT write another set of headcanons on what it's like to be a filipino dating quackity. would u guys like that?

• you've been wanting to watch Barcelona: A Love Untold for a while now since your friends have been raving it to you for days.

• alex bought a bowl of popcorn and sits down beside you. you asked him if he's seen the movie but he said no.

• it would be funny to watch the movie with alex considering that the movie takes place in spain, so naturally, there would be quite a lot of spanish scenes.

• when he heard the title though, he deflated in the couch because he already thinks that it's a romance film.

• he is a softie for romance so that's why he doesn't like it.

• "wait what language is this?" he asked you when he realized that it wasn't english.

• you answered with, "filipino."

• "oh so that's why u wanted to watch this."

• the movie opens in some cheesy thing about the girlfriend waking the boy up, using nicknames such as 'babe'. alex already scrunched up his face in that, and not gonna lie, you kind of did the same thing. the both of you shared looks and grimaces.

• the both of you munching on popcorns in silence while the title screen popped up.

• "holy shit this sucks already," alex says with his mouth still full.

• "shh shut the fuck up."

• you and alex just melted in each others spaces, just lazily biting and chewing on snacks. the warmth from his hoodie radiated from his body to yours.

• when either of you would comment about a particular scene, you would felt rumbles and vibrations because the voices are so low and lazy, especially if it ends in a low chuckle.

• "dude that's so weird, he kept fucking followed her." his laugh at the end was so contagious that it makes you giggle as well.

• when one of the filipino characters you knew began speaking in spanish, you curiously glanced at alex to see his judgement.

• "oh that's cool, there's spanish." he said it so nonchalantly.

• you restrained yourself from spitting a remark that 'no duh, theyre in fricking spain.'

• sometimes, his loud cackle would make your skin jump out of your bones because you're literally laying on his chest and he would just burst out in loud laughter?

• he laughs in the smallest things, and you sometimes ask what he was thinking. when he tells you the reason, you would let out a small confused chuckle.

• it felt like you guys were streaming when the two of you kept spurting out commentary and stories related to the scenes or dialogues.

• sometimes, because of the extreme cheesiness, you would mutter filipino curses. "tangina, ang corny."

• alex laughs and would glance down at you."what'd you say?"

• you would laugh because oh yeah.. "it's hard to explain..."

• few minutes pass by again, and when the girl got fired, alex laughed so hard that he said something random in spanish in which you guessed it was a curse word.

• "WAIT, HIS GIRLFRIEND DIED?!" alex jumped up in sudden realization

• "YEAH! you didn't see the gun scene earlier?"

• "NO! WHAT THE FUCK?"

• there was a scene where the guy stares at a sleeping girl, unashamed. "you're cute when you're asleep."

• alex turns to you with a type of smile that he shows when he's cringing on the inside. you were smirking at him, amused.

• "do i look cute when i'm asleep?" you asked ironically, playfully batting your eyelashes at him, he let out a snort in disbelief and you simply laughed at him.

• "the hell would i know? we sleep almost the same time, our sleeping schedule is fucked."

• you only rolled your eyes. you were sure that wasn't true. you may both share the same bed and go lay down at the same time, but alex goes to sleep first while you are still scrolling through your phone.

• alex asked you the same questionin the smallest voice possible, "do i look cute when i'm sleeping?" he tilted his head like a curious cat, pursing his lips.

• yes, he does look cute when he's asleep, but- "the way you talk in your sleep is cuter."

• before alex could explode in embarrassment and ask you about the things he said, you quickly shushed him.

• the scenes with no talking and just looking at each other fondly made you and alex laugh because the both of you were thinking of the same thing; it reeks of sexual tension.

• there was this funny scene where the couple was acting lovey-dovey before diving into a kiss. it was so goddang cheesy.

• you dramatically turned to him with a charmed smile and he did the same thing, smiling too because he's thinking what you were thinking.

• with swift movement, you raised your arms to wrap around alex while he lifted his hands to fit around your face. the two of you close your eyes but before your lips could touch, you both exploded in laughter.

• you clutched your stomach because it's starting to hurt from all the laughing. alex continuously slammed his hand on the spot on his right side (the one you're not sitting on).

• the movie went on and tbh all of these angsty and reconciliation scenes just makes alex sleepy and not long after, he laid his head on your right shoulder and briefly closed his eyes.

• you were still watching intently, drinking every background story about the guy's ex.

• you were expecting that your boyfriend would soon fall asleep to a movie like this, but you were kinda annoyed that he did sooner than usual.

• now you have this heavy weight on your shoulder. he was comfy though, and the blanket that fully covers the two of you added more to the warmth.

• watching alone, you did minimal movements. you might have been pissed at alex for leaving u alone because you wanted to watch it with him in the first place, but you don't have the heart to wake him up.

• so you simply rolled your eyes at the cheesy moments, but you also couldnt help but feel giddy whenever the characters stare at each other with love in their eyes.

• your right arm was getting numb so you carefully removed it from under alex's weight and placed it around his shoulders. you simply watched as half of his body seemed to plop onto your lap that was covered with thick sheets

• you positioned so that you were more comfortable and alex isnt straining his neck. surprisingly, he didn't wake up. he just muttered something some sort of complaint that it had gotten chilly all of a sudden so you simply picked up the half of the soft blanket and draped it on the rest of his body.

• he was facing the tv so you couldn't see his expressions. his hair was so messy and ruffled so while watching the movie, you were playing with his hair.

• alex sighed in relaxation, burying deeper into the covers.

• the rest of the movie was full of arguments and crying so it was easy to not move a muscle. your face looked focused the whole time without a single time to laugh or even chuckle.

• you were still absentmindedly raking alex's matted hair when suddenly, he snatched your wrist. "ow, here. here." he pulled your hand to the spot where it itches.

• you raised an eyebrow. "aren't you asleep?" your tone was accusing and bitter.

• "i'm watching the movie, just keep touching my hair," his voice was muffled as half of his face is still covered with the blankies.

• you were confused but you did it nonetheless. it was now on the scene where the mom was ordering something on a restuarant in spanish.

• alex laughs drunkily. "why does she talk like that," he mocked the way she spoke.

• "they're not actually native spanish speakers, i think..."

• "holy fuck, this kid has mommy issues."

• "true. and now they're fighting again.... fuck this shit." you whined while tilting your head towards the ceiling as if you're tired of all the angst.

• "they're spitting these one-liners. they want to be in an animatic so bad." the two of you laughed while the protagonists were crying and shouting.

• violins were dominating the background music because the scene is sad, and it just makes alex go sleep-sleep again. he didn't say anything when you said "hey" so he is infact asleep.

• 45 minutes later, you recoiled when they pulled themselves into a passionate kiss.

• it made you jump that your knees bounced and alex opened his eyes abruptly.

• "what the fuck..." he slurred. he twisted to see your hand clasped on our mouth and tears threatened to come out.

• when you saw him looking at you though, you giggled in embarrassment as you bashfully wiped your tears away. you sniffled while still smiling widely.

• alex was amused by your antics. "that good, huh?"

• "shut up."

BONUS

• alex quackity told all about it on his alt just chatting stream. (either spanish or english)

• "y/n showed me this movie." chat was going wild. "the people are randomly talking spanish and there's this guy who's crying a lot because guess what, chat? his girlfriend DIES! that was so fucked up. do you guys know the movie?"

• chat was spamming confused remarks and guesses to quackity's ridiculous summary. he tried to search for the name with the keywords: 'guy girlfriend died spanish.' obviously, nothing came up.

• he told chat that he's gonna ask u. you replied the answer. "oh- oh, it's this movie. YEAH THE GIRLFRIEND STRAIGHT UP DIED."

• "i'm not actually sure, chat, i slept for most of the movie," he said before laughing uncontrollably.
