Not even four miles into the journey down memory lane, Tsunami and Lightning had gotten into another fight. Firestorm handled his younger sibling's shenanigans better than Blizzard, surprisingly.

Hurricane listened to Blizzard as she told her stories of all of them when they were little. Growing up with stories such as Cinder and her bravery, their father and how he used to be a loving parent, and not-so-great times when their mothers got into fights. When she looked at the silver Imperfect, she saw the images of a bloodthirsty and monstrous she-cat fade away and the image of an over-protective older sister took that place, love emitting from her icy, blue eyes.

Walking over to the Training Den only brought back bad memories of her past. She only listened to what the silver she-cat had to say once in a while. The rest of the time was spent dwelling on her own time and lost in the world she once called home.

I wonder, are there any new kits at the Training Den? Have they been raised just like me? Bounce, what about Snow's brother? Does he still miss her? Hurricane felt her paw steps getting lighter and lighter as she got closer to the place. Her heart thudded against her chest while her breathing increased, worried.

"I think it would be wise to rest for a bit," Firestorm concluded after hearing the end of Lightning and Tsunami's fight. The calico stormed off the other direction, leaving the other tom to stand fuming at his sister with a cross expression. Hurricane sat down and curled her tail over her paws. Blizzard padded over to Firestorm and whispered something in his ear.

Wildfire was the only one that seemed happy. Being the youngest of the group, she had more energy than all of them combined packed in her little body. Hurricane did enjoy watching her grow out of her usual energetic self and into a more mature stance - even if it meant there wouldn't be a miniature sun following her everywhere.

Through the past days, Hurricane felt the loss of her old family fade into the wind and carried away far beyond her sight, leaving them a mystery that only worsened as she let time carry on.

"I want to meet Leopard, he sounds cool," Wildfire stated, hoping to cheer up the group. All of them turned to her. "What? Is there something wrong with that?"

"No, not at all," Firestorm assured with a smile. "I'm sure you'll get along with anyone you want to, Wildfire." That made his sister smile and made his eyes soften at the joyful sister. Hurricane turned her gaze toward Tsunami who was still glaring at Lightning. The tom didn't seem bothered by her and continued his day by cleaning himself.

"Should we send out patrols?" Hurricane suggested, drawing the attention to herself. "It would help us if we start searching now. There is the chance Magnolia left and moved around this place."

"I'll go with you if nobody else wants to," Blizzard meowed with a glint of enjoyment in her voice. Sensation washed over Hurricane knowing that she was coming along.

"We can stay here until you get back so you have somewhere to return to," Firestorm added, to which both she-cats nodded. "Tsunami, why don't you join them?"

"Huh?" The calico asked in disbelief. "Why me?!"

"Hey, don't forget me!" Wildfire pouted, racing up to her big brother's side. "I wanna join them! My brothers can spend some... friendly brother bonding time! I wanna go with my sisters! Please say you will! Pretty please!" The she-cat begged, practically drooling with excitement. Firestorm nodded and tried to push her back and toward the group.

"You heard him, dear sister," Lightning mocked, smirking at his sister's frustration. "You get to with the girls while we do this..." He trailed off and looked at Wildfire. "Brother bonding time..."

"Just make sure you don't do anything stupid," Tsunami hissed before turning around, marching away without another word. Silently, she heard the calico mutter, "But that feeling in my stomach is worsening..." Hurricane let it slide welcomed the black and white she-cat.

Blizzard curled her tail around Tsunami while Wildfire ran up to her sisters. "Come on!" She begged, racing off into the forest without a clue about where to start.

"Wildfire, you're going to get yourself killed!" Tsunmai called, breaking away from the two and chasing after her sister. "We don't even know this territory!"

"Wait up!" Hurricane gasped, sprinting after the fluffy tail. Blizzard was ahead of her, already hunting down the scent trail of the two younger sisters. Hurricane's paws glided across pebbles and dirt. The trees above her shielded her from the sun's beams above. The golden she-cat tried to weave her way through the tight branches and leaves that blocked her path.

Blizzard had better luck than her. The taller she-cat managed to make a path for her to follow in after. Tsunami and Wildfire were nowhere in sight as Hurricane blindly followed the Imperfect. The forest flew by her in a blur of green and brown, blending together into an endless maze of unfamiliar scents. Soon enough, she found herself stopped in the middle of the forest, scanning her surroundings for a bright, golden and black and white pelt.

Blizzard had also stopped in her steps and examined the place. Hurricane didn't pick up Wildfire's honey scent or Tsunami's lavender scent. The forest remained silent as the two cats looked around. Trees sang in the wind as birds lifted into the air, their wings carrying them above the clouds. The bushes rustled as prey scurried out from underneath their shelter and into the open field. Her claws twitched just as a mouse raced across her paws. Hurricane let the prey go in search of Wildfire, her ears raised for any movements.

This is what they get for running off! Hurricane whirled around at the sound of a twig snapping. Blizzard tossed the broken stick to the side, apologizing to her. Her green eyes traced each tree as she kept trying to locate the scents. It could be a mistake, she thought grimly. The dread of making a mistake still lingered inside of her, despite spending several moons with the Imperfects.

"Wildfire! Tsunami!" Blizzard called. Her voice bounced off of trees and soared into the sky. All that was answered was the quiet sway of leaves in the wind. Hurricane felt her stomach twist as the silence pressed on.

"Where are you guys?" Hurricane attempted, hoping her voice could reach them.

"Did you lose track of their scent?" Blizzard asked.

"I did because I was following you through this forest," Hurricane answered, still looking around. "Where are you guys?" she repeated.

"I hope they aren't in danger." Blizzard looked down at her paws. "If anything does, I won't forgive myself!"

"If they're in danger whatever is attacking them isn't going to see the next day with you around," Hurricane hissed. Around the silver she-cat, she learned that even a single scream at a flying bug would catch the Imperfect's attention, doing her best to eradicate the problem as quickly as possible.

Hurricane's ears shot to the left suddenly. Her paws whirled around and broke out into a sprint. Pebbles flew across the forest as Blizzard scrambled to chase after her.

"Where are you going?" she called, leaping over a log gracefully.

"I heard something!" Hurricane shouted without looking over her shoulder. Her heart pounded harder and as she crashed onto the dirt, momentarily paused. She forced herself back on her shaking paws and ran forward, fearful to see what was to happen next just as Blizzard came up. As they ran forward, sounds became louder and the scents became clearer, and among the mix of scents, she could pick out Wildfire and Tsunami's.

The scent that painted over all of them was fear and dominance.

     "Danger," her mind spoke.

Obviously! She pressed her teeth together, opening her strides.

"Are you really going to charge in without a plan?"

Shut up! Not now! Hurricane roared, silencing her mind.

The two she-cats broke into a clearing to see Wildfire cowering behind Tsunami who was shielding her from five hungry-looking toms. Hurricane felt her instincts shoot in, but not as fast as Blizzard. The silver cat sprung into the air and came crashing down on one of the toms, catching him off guard.

"What are you doing?" Blizzard hissed, her claws unleashing and sinking into the pelt of the tom.

"Blizzard...!" Tsunami gasped, with Wildfire's green eyes peeking out from behind.

"Answer me already!" Blizzard demanded and two other toms sprang to throw her off. Hurricane leaped into action, tackling one of the toms and throwing him to the ground.

"You're in our territory," one of the toms hissed, advancing on Tsunami. Wildfire let out an angered hiss. The calico flattened her ears and let out a low growl, fur rising and her tail puffed out.

"We didn't mean to stumble in your place!" Tsunami snarled, shifting around to face the last tom. "We're just looking for a cat."

"Who might this cat be?" The same tom questioned, reacting to Tsunami's signals. Hurricane yowled just as she was thrown off and pinned. Carefully, she slipped right under the tom before he could get a strong grip. His claws ripped down her flesh as she slid down to escape, making her flinch. Her head clashed under his stomach and lashed out with her claws, drawing the scarlet blood from the tom's underbelly, hearing his yowls ring in her ears.

"Does it matter?" Tsunami growled, readying herself.

"Leave her alone!" Wildfire shrieked, running out from under her sister's protection and threw herself at the tom, covering his face with her underbelly. The tom jumped back in surprise at the little cat's outrage, stumbling. She clung onto the chest of the tom, screaming in hopes of confusion her larger opponent as her claws sunk into the sides of his neck, paws shaking. The tom used his front paw and raked his claws down the she-cat's back. Tsunami leapt around the tom, clashing her head against his side, keeping her eyes on the last tom that watched the fight.

Hurricane tossed the tom above her to the side, casting a shady glare at the tom. The brown tabby snarled at her and she crouched down, ready to take advantage of his injuries. Her old instincts shot into her system and threw herself at the tabby, clawing her way through to reach his neck.

Her foe lashed out, knocking his paw against her jaw and coughed blood over her paws. The she-cat yowled as he slashed, down her right eye. Her right side went red and she twisted her head to look out through her left eye instead. She licked her lips and smashed a clawed paw onto his neck, enjoying the sounds of the screams. Blood roared in her ears and her heart beat faster against her chest, breaking free.

The tom withered under her, trying to throw the enraged cat away. Hurricane used her back legs to rake his underbelly while his front paws batted weakly at her sides, slowly draining the life out of the rogue. She hissed and leaned in to finish him off, her mind shouting with joy at the sound of a kill.

"Stop!" Wildfire screamed through her foe. Blizzard clashed two heads together and leapt over them, stepping on one cat as well. Tsunami had returned to defend her sister and Hurricane shifted her eye to look at the golden she-cat.

"Wildfire..." She hissed, turning her head around and released some of the weight on the cat under her. Her claws still snagged onto his shoulders tightly. Wildfire stared at her with wide, pleading eyes. Slowly, Hurricane let her hostility die down and she felt the tom's panic start to decrease. She glared at him with her left eye, sending all the hate she could at him.

Suddenly, Wildfire let out the most high-pitched, horrified scream of all. Her eyes went round as her jaws formed her petrified holler.

Hurricane jumped, letting her fur spike out to defend herself. The tom under her broke free and raised a paw, aiming for her neck. She whirled around and snapped her jaws around the paw but his other paw slashed downward, directly on her face. Fire shot across and her from the attack as her teeth loosened. The stinging in her eyes made it impossible to keep her eyes open and force them to shut while her mind screamed at her.

     "Mousebrain!"

     "It's not worth it!"

She felt herself being thrown to the side and hit the ground at an awkward angle that made her back leg snap. Hurricane felt the blood rain down on her face and drip onto the ground like rain, the sound of screaming and yowling echoing around her. The tom leaped for her before she could get back up. She braced herself for the incoming pain to flood over her and kill her.

Instead, it never came. All that filled her ears was Wildfire screaming.

She forced her eyes open and gulped at the sight.

A calico she-cat fought the tom head-on, using her strength to push the cat over. Tsunami lunged for the throat, ripping away fur as the tom snarled at her, bashing his paw against her head. She stumbled and he took advantage of her hesitation, pinning her down painfully. Rage igniting in her blue eyes, the Imperfect howled and rammed her head against the tom's jaws, knocking his head aside. She used the chance and reached up, snapping her jaws around his neck, grabbing ahold of it securely.

Blood poured out of her jaws as the rogue's life poured out and stained her pelt. Hurricane weakly got to her paws and coughed, trying to stay still. When she looked up again, the tom was struggling in Tsunami's grip, trying to lash at her. The Imperfect had a sneer across her eyes as she waited for his life to end.

Then he slashed a paw across her exposed neck, making her eyes widened. Tsunami's eyes dropped down to the wound and then fury sparked in her, sinking her teeth into the rogue, hearing his cries as the she-cat slowly sucked his life away.

But the wound on her neck caused her to falter and hesitate, her grip loosening. Blood spilled out of her body as the tom continued to thrash, his strength leaving him as well. The two cats stayed locked around each other as Wildfire continued screaming. Red covered the white patches of fur. Her blue eyes flashed with pain as each thorn-like claw dug into her skin.

Hurricane's eyes widened and Tsunami and the rogue fell back, the sound forcing reality crashing onto her and, suddenly, her jaws fell open, a wretched roar leaving her body.

     "Tsunami!"

Blizzard turned into a monster and dealt with the rest of the toms, eyes full of rage and tears as she howled, fury unleashing. She lashed out, clawing her way forward as Wildfire fell on her knees, amber eyes stricken with horror. The last tom scrambled to his paws and fled before the silver she-cat could get on her paws and chase after him.

She stared at the bloodstained pelt with horror, struggling to breathe. Tsunami, the strong and brave Imperfect that had a tongue as rough as bark, the she-cat Hurricane looked up to despite her being older, the she-cat that was quick to snap and hard to forgive, but the she-cat whose promises meant the world. The Imperfect didn't move, her pelt plastered against the ground as her life drained out, taking down her enemy with her.

Hurricane raced over to the weakened cat, dropping to the ground and stared at the wound. A pool formed underneath her and stained her paws. She whirled around and sprang, grabbing a leaf and threw it against the wound, hoping to stop the bleeding. Her blood poured out and soaked the leaf red and she stared at the Imperfect, mouth hanging open.

"That." Tsunami choked out along with clots of blood onto the ground as her eyes struggled to open up again. She rolled her head to the side with great effort, staring at Hurricane with pained eyes. "Regret nothing..."

"What were you thinking?!" Hurricane snarled, lashing her tail. "Are you stupid?!"

"You're..." Tsunami tried to grin but that only made the bleeding worsen. "The stupid one." She hacked up another chunk of blood just as Wildfire came up with a pawful of cobwebs and began to heal her sister, tears streaming down her face as she nudged her sister's cold pelt.

"Don't die Tsunami, please don't!" Wildfire cried, picking up a limp paw in her jaw softly. "Please!" Her sister stirred the slightest bit. The two sisters met eyes and the littlest stiffened, biting her tongue. "No! You're my only... you've always been there for me...!"

"Tsunami, you can't die!" Blizzard howled, still fighting the tom, voice cracking as she wrestled the tom down.

"Oh, stop." Tsunami looked at each of her siblings with teary eyes, probably the first time Hurricane had ever seen her shed tears. Then her crystal blue eyes landed on Hurricane. "You," she murmured, now slipping away. "Are such a pain." She coughed again, getting weaker and weaker.

"Those your final words to me?!" Hurricane demanded, trying not to cry as her heart suffered, the world splitting between her paws.

"You should've never joined them! Tsunami wouldn't have died!"

"I..." Tsunami's eyes darted to the ground. "Told you... I felt strange..."

"No, Tsunami! You're my big sister!" screamed Wildfire, embracing the calico, staining her golden pelt red.

Then the Imperfect struggled to look at Hurricane. She failed to move and stared into the clearing, the light in her eyes dying. "Be a real..." Her eyes closed, shutting away the last glimpse of her from the Storm Siblings. "Hurricane and..." Tsunami cracked a weak smile despite her injury. "Protect them."

     "Tsunami!"

"I love you all and I was so happy to be called a Storm Sibling."
