Avu was sitting in her cabin trying to focus on her work nut her focus was again and again going towards the outing she agreed to go on with Sid or more precisely to the one on which her friend did not leave a chance for her from except to agree on it. the clock was ticking so fast today she felt. When she really needed to prepare herself, the time was not stopping. It felt at very high speed.

Avu's P.O.V.

Fuck you Akshit. I hate you so much. That jerk did this on purpose. He very well knows I neither am ready to face Sid nor I wish to right now. But he went to the extent of fixing up this lunch for just two of you. Hell it's gonna be so awkward between the two of us. I do not even know what and how to talk to him. And this time, when I am getting bored and want it to end soon, it just stops but look today it is running like someone is after it. Ugh please slow down yrr. 

But it fucking weird  that Sid is my best friend and a time was there when I could any kind of shit with him for whole day without realizing time. But now it is even difficult, awkward, uncomfortable and what not to have a couple of minutes of conversation with him. Honestly, I also want things to back to the way it was before. I still want us to be like before and not care about the world and just be with my best friend.

P.O.V. ends

She did not realize it was almost time of the lunch till she got a call from Sid. She sighed picking it.

Avu: Hi Sid

Sid: Hi. Are you ready? Shall we leave?

Her brain once said to ask him to postpone this lunch idea with some excuse but her heart did not agree.

Avu: Ya I am just coming

And with that she shut her laptop and closed the file she was trying to work on.

Sid: Ok then you come outside. I am going to parking lot to get my car

Avu: Ok sure

She said collecting her purse. She went in that washroom and fixed up her clothes and hair before leaving. She re-applied her lipstick and kajal.

Avu's P.O.V.

Ok Avi. You can do it. It's no big deal. He is your best friend. It can't be as difficult a task as you are thinking. Let's go. Not like you guys have not gone anywhere together earlier.

P.O.V. ends

She closed her purse and went out where Sid was already waiting for her patiently. 

Sid: Hey

Avu: Hi

She said giving a small smile and settled in the passenger seat.

Sid: Chale?

Avu: Sure

Sid started the car and they sat in silence throughout the journey. Avu texted Akshit reminding him to get Hazel who responded back saying not to worry and enjoy her time. They reach their destination soon. Sid parked his car and they entered inside. They settled down on a table. They decided an order and called the waiter. After placing the order, they were waiting for their food when Sid finally decided to initiate a conversation.

Sid: So how are you Avni? It is long since we got a time to talk

Avu: Ya it is . And I am good. What about you? And how was your project. Kuch ghoome fire ya sirf kaam hi kia?

Sid briefed about his biusness trip.

Sid: So what is going on with you these days?

Avu: Nothing much. Just usual stuff. It is just Hazel and office. Nothing new in my life

Sid: Oh

Avu: Your mother was asking you to meet girls and get married. So any luck till now?

Sid: Not really. My mom has been very eager to get one of us married at least. But no nothing much over that

By the time, their food arrived and they kept talking a bit.

Sid: By the way, Avi. I had to talk about something

Avu: Ya say. What happened? All fine?

Sid: Ya all is fine

Sid forwarded his hands towards Avu's which were resting on table. He held her in his. Avu was confused by his gesture but anyhow she let him hold it.

Avu: What happened Sid? Is everything alright?

Sid: Actually Avi there is something I want to share with you. I am just scared this might have some kind of negative effect on our friendship. So I am kinda scared. But I think you should known it

He said looking down avoiding her eyes.

Avu kept her other free hand on his.

Avu: Sid just say it. You are my best friend

Sid looked up.

Sid: Avi I have been having some feelings for you from sometime now more than a friend. Earlier I could not really figure out about it but from few days I am quite sure  that I have fallen in love with you Avni. I really really really love you

Sid was scared of her response. Avu pulled her hands from his hold scaring him even more.
