When writing stories that have multiple viewpoint characters, keep in mind that each character will describe the setting differently (see previous world-building and character development chapters) and will notice different things first. For example, one character might notice a person's eye color first, whereas another character might notice clothing. When you're writing your descriptions, you'll want your writing to reflect the distinct voice of each character. Similarly, a character might notice different things in a setting first. For example, one character might note all the exits in a room when they enter a building, whereas your other viewpoint character might notice the cute barista first.

Making sure your viewpoint characters have distinct voices will help differentiate them and, if done well, will show more of their personalities.
