We ran as fast as we could but,my dress must of weighted a ton because I couldn't run more than a jog.Tavington must of noticed because he stopped and carried me bridal style.He ran us to a barn.The horses were gone probably with there riders I guess.I knew it was a good thing they were gone because they could signal the soldiers we were here.Tavington then said "Scarlet climb up there hide behind the hay barrels they can't see you!"I knew even though I really disagreed with him doing all the fighting and I'm up there helpless but,there was no time.I quickly climb up the ladder and lay my elbows on the hay so Tavington could hear me when I talked.He kept a look out by the windows.He ran to a barrel of hay in the Corner and,cocked his pistol and he sword was beside him and his dagger.He signaled me to get down behind the hay.The door creaked open and my heart pounded.I just wanted to go ahead and let them see me.But Tavington would be spotted also and ,I don't want to out him at risk.The solider's boots echoed in the barn.Then I hear a gun shot.It was so close and loud.My curiosity won me I look and it was a American solider.Tavington was fine he looked to me and told me to hide again I guess he saw more coming.I did but,hearing what happened next wasn't even better.
