AUTHOR'S NOTE

— this book is going to contain a relationship with a rather large age-gap. i understand that bothers some people, and if that's you, this may not be the book for you.
that being said, the relationship between daryl and andie will not happen quickly, and they're going to spend a lot of time only as friends before anything romantic happens between them.

— the age for daryl is never explicitly stated in the show ( that i could find ), and i know most people generally think he'd be around norman's age. i, however, am changing that for this book. i think it makes more sense to say that daryl's in his early thirties rather than early forties, and here's why...
daryl still seems pretty affected by merle and everything he says and does, and he still seems a little intimidated by him in some parts. in my own opinion, i think him just coming out of his twenties would really account for that — him not having had as much of his own adult life on his own and still being more dependent on his brother.

— so, for context, daryl will be 30 in season 2, and 31 in season 3. andie will be 18 in season 2, and 19 in season 3.

— but those are my thoughts on the subject and how the book will be written. please keep that in mind if you choose to continue. thank you!
