Ocean

The sea breeze calms her.

Soft ripples envelope her in reassurance,
calm pools licking at the indents of her feet.
The tide vanishes in front of her eyes
but always, always comes back for more
to satisfy a gentle curiosity.

It is a constant in her life, she supposed,
shy, gentle, serene.

Never forceful, but always hesitant.
