Midnight Wonders

The moon is enticing,
like the beckoning call
of the ocean's tide as it
creeps into shore.

Its pale glow illuminating
a halo around my features.

The biggest star shines so
brightly; a galaxy of one
thousand-million wishes.
It lights up the otherwise blank
canvas of the night sky,
painting it in an ethereal dark ink.
